It's the best time for momiji-gari in Osaka at the moment. Although I don't get to visit Japan until next week, today I stumbled upon Momiji Chaya in TST. Was thrilled that even this "teahouse" serves up draft Yebisu and Sapporo. Time for an afternoon booze!They're currently offering a crossover menu with Chip In featuring fish and chips and deep-fried oreo. I was more keen on trying their original dishes during my first visit.Half pint was the perfect size for keeping the draft Sapporo chilled.

Premium Wagyu Sukiyaki Teishoku
Included extra sliced beef, tofu, vegetables and mushrooms in the sukiyaki. The set came with onsen egg, takana, kinpira gobo, miso soup and a bowl of rice. The sauce went well with the sticky and chewy rice. Satisfying portion of beef with a balanced amount of fat.
Chicken Karaage
Freshly fried combo of chicken leg meat and chicken wing. Very juicy meat with a thin crispy batter on the outside. Pipping hot. Well-marinated with ginger.
Stir-fried Vegetables
Cabbage and mushrooms fried in a slightly sweet and savory sauce.
Ajitsuke Tamago
Great beer snack. Buttery egg yolk. Delicately flavored and not oversalted.
