Corn bread is sweet and soft. The warmth inside tells the freshness. Bites of corn can be felt quite clearly. Onion bread with caviar paste is a contrast - a bit savoury, yet the taste of onion is so light that it is never bitter or unpleasant. The handmade bread shows the hard work the chef has put into.

Soup of the day is pumpkin soup. While pepper is optional, the small portion that I chose to have highlights the taste, but the freshness and sweetness of pumpkin remain vivid. The creamy texture acts as another reminder that I am having pumpkin soup but not other kinds of vegetables. Should be a good choice for pumpkin fans. But for non-pumpkin lovers, I am sorry...

The main course I picked was Alioli pasta (HKD118), a new try out for me. The pasta looks plain, yes it does because there isn't anything except the pasta itself and alioli. Alioli is spicy because of the garlic and red pepper, though the spice should be an easy one - I can still bear it, only with a tiny sip of water to help get over. The strong flavour gets me back my appetite in the stuffy and hearty weather. Topped with basil, the pasta smells excellent.
