從信箱收到Royal Garden Hotel寄來一系列的coupons。最吸引的自不然是稻菊午市有八折,心想可能等荷包鬆動一點兒的時候去吃一吃吧。再望見這兒的更吸引,連晚市都有八折,碰巧太座的表妹來港相聚,就決定來這裏,請她吃一餐飯以一盡地主之誼吧....一行四人一早訂了座,但我想,就算不訂也應可隨時就座,因人真的不算多....從前是Balcony的這裏,環境真的十分舒適,聽着外面悠和的音樂、望着露天的大天窗,令人忘卻煩憂太座要我拿主意落order,這當然是小弟一貫的任務了聽說這裏的pho做得不錯,當然是我的首選了。其他的,只隨心的地叫就可以了...例牌打頭陣就是menu上沒有的牙車快。賣相比其他地方的精緻,雞絲及菜的比例調得剛好,香葉亦下得足;作為靈魂的魚露甜酸度剛好,份量亦適中。吃完後胃口亦隨之而大開了來這裏,當然要叫一些在其他普通越南菜館吃不到的東西,海鮮薄餅自是其一了。未吃已嗅到濃濃的椰絲香味,餅皮甜甜的,配合海鮮如蝦及鮮拆蟹肉的味道,感覺並沒有格格不入,用生菜包住後再醮點魚露吃,又甜又鹹又酸,可謂是味蕾大刺激了越式咖喱炆鴨自然是"送飯王"之一了。咖喱帶點椰香,不算太辣,香料

越式咖喱炆鴨自然是"送飯王"之一了。咖喱帶點椰香,不算太辣,香料不像印式的下得那麼多,頗惹味;鴨真的炆得頗淰,一咬即褪,連無牙婆婆都應可吃得落。鴨肉淰之餘也不失應有的羶味。鴨肉就等同羊肉一樣,如做得完全不羶,那跟吃豬肉及雞肉有何分別 ?

沒有叫白飯加咖喱汁,是因為叫了個班蘭肉碎炒飯。米用的是泰國的,偏硬身,不是小弟那杯茶,亦吃不出班蘭葉香,且油了一點,但肉碎就真的很出色,雖是鹹了一點,但用來送飯就剛剛好了,用的又是半肥瘦豬肉,入口自是不同....

壓軸好戲當然是那個pho了。一看,湯底甚清;一喝,味雖淡,但喝得出是用牛骨熬的,亦feel到是沒有師傅的。河粉用的是跡近金邊粉的出品,頗滑溜;牛肉選擇了普通的美國牛肉 (雖有wagyu可以選擇,但不用那麼奢侈吧
),"平價"一點的美國牛也不錯,吃落無渣,牛味也還可以了...

水準當然是不俗的,當然在酒店環境之下,比外面越式餐館貴一點自是必然了...

值得一提時服務水準也是很不錯的,每道菜上枱之前都會作簡單介紹及應有吃法,換碟及斟茶樣樣做足,確是酒店級的水準....
