Restaurant: Tim Ho Wan, the Dim-Sum Specialists

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 早前到總店見兩條排隊長龍,令我望而卻步,一直想找機會品嚐。今天到深水埗工作,特來試試,下午2時多到達,等了15分鐘便有位,坐位很擠迫,但環境算企理。點心選擇不多,叫了6款:- 茶錢每位$2,但用膠水壼盛茶,壺內冇茶包或茶葉,彷彿茶餐廳那杯用作浸洗餐具之用的茶水,失去飲中茶食點心的感覺,即時大打折扣- 酥皮叉燒飽($15):用麥西哥皮,叉燒餡料味道帶甜,整個包夠熱,好味- 潮州粉果($10):皮簿,餡料味道清新- 鳳瓜排骨飯($17):飯軟,味道冇特別- 煎羅百糕($12): 很削,一夾就碎,但有羅百碎,味道ok- 叉燒腸粉($16): 一般酒樓貨式- 豬潤燒賣($22): 冇特別整體而言,除了酥皮叉燒飽較突出和潮州粉果皮簿味好兼抵食外(唯一一款$10的點心),其餘的味道可算是不錯但不是特別出眾,水準就如一般大酒樓,未有驚喜感覺。論價錢,就談不上特別平,因為很多酒樓早午和下午茶更經濟之餘,還可享受到嘆茶吃點心的悠閒感覺。這裏就如在快餐店進食般,很急和很擠迫。或者因為名氣太大,令我們有所期望,是次用餐令我對此品牌有所失望。
