To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 跟伯母預先食中秋節飯,選擇了她家附近的富臨酒家。晚上未滿座,不過都有不少食客。發覺富臨酒家晚市都幾多優惠,而且MENU似乎會定期更新一下,讓食客保持一定新鮮感。金銀菜燉白肺($128)用料超級足的一個燉湯,除了白肺和有大量煲好淋又好甜的金銀菜,仲有足料的豬肉排,雞腳等。因為肉都去晒皮的關係,燉湯一點都不油膩,飲落清甜滋潤。而白肺都煲到好軟身好入味,肺喉的部份則夠爽口,食落口感很好。豉汁蒸白鱔($108)分量不少的白鱔,蒸至肉嫩爽口,食落有啖啖骨膠原口感。豉汁加入了大量香蔥和蒜粒,所以食落味道好香,而又不會油膩。泰皇蝦球炒通菜($78)帶點微辣的泰皇蝦球食落好惹味,蝦球炒得爽口彈牙,而且每隻都算幾大隻。通菜炒得爽脆,不過都係有點油膩,還好整道菜是微辣的令油膩感大大減少。飯後還有糖水送呢。這個是南瓜西米露,食落南瓜味都很香,而且煮得好滑。
