Their long list of creative Maki Rolls should be their selling point. Apart from these, they also offered sashimi, sushi, salad, appetizers, grilled dishes, tempura, rice etc.

As it was our first visit, no doubt we had to go for Maki Rolls. We decided to try 3 types of Maki Rolls and also 1 tempura and 1 salad to share.

Presentation was very nice. It was my first time to see salad presented on a Japanese bowl. It reminded me of CNY-version of 撈起! Portion was gigantic. There were loads of fresh lettuces topped by quite a lot of crispy 中華沙津 and shredded crab sticks which had been well dressed by some very spicy mustard dressing.    Some crab roes and chips were sprinkled on top to add extra crispy texture. It was a very appetising and healthy salad, if you don't consider the evil mustard dressing.

There were 2 shrimps, 3 sweet potatoes, 1 mushroom and 1 eggplant. They were all freshly deep fried and were so hot. The batter was not so thin but didn't affect the crispiness of the batter. The shrimps were super fresh and meaty. The sweet potatoes were very dense and sweet. The mushroom was big and juicy while the eggplant was also of good quality. At such a price, it was really not expensive.

It took us quite a while to decide which Maki Rolls to try. Although the ingredients might be similar, they grouped different ingredients to create different types of rolls. Here you go the 3 types we tried.

Two of the three sets of Maki Rolls were served together on a single plate and the presentation was very lovely.

Spider Roll (Soft-Shell Crab, Cucumber, Avocado, Crab Fillet) at $88+10%

Spider Rolls actually consisted of soft shell crab, avocado, cucumber and crab sticks wrapped by seaweed. There were 5 pieces altogether with 2 being the legs of the spider! These rolls were very crispy from the freshly deep fried soft shell crab and fresh cucumber. I found them quite well dressed so I didn‘t need soy sauce dip or wasabi. They didn't forget to add sliced pickled gingers on the plate of rolls.

Fireworks (Spicy salmon, Spicy tuna, Chips) at $98+10%

There were 8 pieces of rolls for Fireworks. Each roll was topped by a lot of spicy tuna and salmon. Inside the rolls, there were also spicy tuna and salmon. The spicy salmon and tuna were well dressed and you couldn't really tell which was which. The texture of the salmon and tuna was pretty nice that the salmon and tuna cubes were all very tender. A lot of chips and some crab roes were sprinkled on top to add crispy texture. And also pay attention to the details, they did add some black and white sesame to the rice to enhance flavour. You could tell how serious they were in trying to mix and match the best rolls for eaters.

Salmon and cream cheese were such a perfect combo. We struggled between flame or no flame and finally decided to flame it. Prices were the same.
There were 8 pieces. Two pieces contained the tempura shrimp tails so we suspected that they had used two whole tempura shrimps for the rolls. The salmon just had the surface flamed and was still tender and fresh inside. They added some spicy mustard dressing on top of the salmon which made it very appetising. The spicy mustard sauce was the same as that for the Crazy Salad. Inside the rolls, the tempura shrimps were super crispy yet with pretty fresh and meaty flesh. To my surprise, the cream cheese was put beside the shrimp. Some black and white sesame were also added to the rice to enhance flavour. These rolls were really incredibly yummy with the combo of crispy tempura shrimps plus fresh and tender salmon! It was probably the best dish for the evening!

Overall, we were satisfied with the food. The food tasted good and were also super IG-able! Service was very good and the server cared a lot about our comments on the food. Happy dinner!
