To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 由於外公住在屯門區,我們每月都會到美心皇宮晚飯至少一次,有時6-8位,有時9-12位都會。以前質素非常一般,直至2年前裝修了再轉了餐牌 (有點像同集團八月花的風格)味道提升了,選擇也多了,我們一家人都很欣賞。但本星期的到訪實在令人失望,而且決定不會再去。我們是星期六晚上 7:30 入座,大約8時落單,我們落單時好幾款已經賣完,倒如乳鴿,炸雞,豆腐煲都沒有。當日小吃連主菜我們點了8個。鹵豬手,不入味,皮很硬。燒腩,尚可。煎年藕餅,很鹹,只有很少年藕粒,一碟8-10塊,每塊只有一個籌碼的大小。沙律蝦球,最正常的一味。節瓜粉絲煲,配飯吃也很鹹,節瓜份量少。胡椒豬肚雞煲,$128 雞完全沒有味,像白烚,當然也沒雞味。魚腩煲,魚皮上還有魚鄰。最後一道蒸牛肉餅,上枱時已經覺的顏色深到怪,結果是鹹到一啖都吃不到,退掉了。由於大家都吃不太飽,便加甜品,大約9點叫了。最奇怪是賣完但員工又擺晒位告訴我們上甜品,等了15分鐘,蛋散賣完,豆腐花賣完。我們7位吃了 $850 左右,雖然是不是高價錢,但這樣令人失望的質素,實在很浪費。
