To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 叉燒蝦仁雙拼滑蛋飯$58 凍飲+$2 大杯凍飲+$5以呢個價錢來講吾滿足,點解咁話:1.份量少,只是鋪平碟而已,以我本人份量剛好,以我另一半吾飽,欠左份滿足感,左隔離枱3父子都話吾飽,右隔離枱情侶話無下次,至於點解吾中意就聽吾到。2. 聽到隔離枱講乜?可想而知枱與枱之間有幾迫,入去埋邊位屎忽都幾乎high到人地隻碟。3. 1230上FB睇到朋友post就立即起行醫肚,1330到達,等左一陣,中吾中伏!見仁見智!4. 講食物:叉燒切得够簿幾好,太厚反而會吾夾,有3粒蝦仁,蛋似乎太著重滑,無左質感,有蔥花我中意, 飯粒長身粒粒分明我中意,但帶老人家食就稍硬,凍忌廉咖啡 說了少冰,仍然成杯冰, 咖啡味道係幾好嘅! 太多冰變咗忌廉奶水。5.另一半表示NNT,佢中意蛋菜色,仲諗住帶佢食好嘢我就一半半但吾會專程再來搵食。
