To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

最近參與的「九龍城食、買、玩」活動,先後去了兩間泰國菜館,一間是屹立九龍城多年的老字號「黃珍珍泰國菜館」,另一間是後起之秀,在九龍城和其他地區開了多間分店的「小曼谷」。先說「黃珍珍」這間在九龍城區開業多年,歷久不衰的泰國菜館,其實我已多年沒有去過了,這次到訪,吃飯的地方是在之前並不知道的地庫樓層,地方偌大的。食泰國菜,咖喱是其中一樣幾近必點的菜式,這天吃的「咖喱大頭蝦配麵包」,豬仔包十分香脆,把豬仔包掰開蘸以香濃惹味的咖喱汁吃,相當不錯。在咖喱汁中暢泳的大蝦,肉厚膏多,同樣好吃。這裡的「泰式燒豬頸肉」是有炸得脆卜卜的蝦片做配角的,豬頸肉燒得香,肉質也夠嫩,但又有點咬口,蘸點泰式燒汁,挺美味。這天還吃了一道特別的「冬蔭魚」,炸得通透的泰國紅寶石魚,吃前先以另上的秘製冬蔭功湯汁連同冬蔭湯的基本材料,草菇、冬菇、粟米仔等物澆在魚上,並且在盛載紅寶石魚的魚形盛器下點火加熱保溫,待得湯汁沸騰冒煙,便可趁熱享用。泰國來的紅寶石魚,炸過之後,雖然並不嫩滑,但結實的魚肉,配以酸辣的冬蔭湯汁,仍是不錯的組合,香口惹味,是一道配搭新穎的新派泰國菜式。在泰國菜館林立的九龍城區,「黃珍珍」可以屹立多年,歷久不
