預先訂座,6點鐘,人流比較少。先來一壺茶,這裡的茶味比較濃,但有小蠟燭常燃,令茶可保持一定的熱度,這點做得不錯。前菜的核桃香脆可口。先上花膠燉老鴿,湯的用料足,每盅都有一隻鴿,可真是未上其他菜已飽了一半,湯沒有味噌,清潤,只是個人比較喜歡濃味一點。明閣八小碟有其特色,可以小吃多滋味,值得點。龍皇披甲是一道得獎的菜式,服務員還細心地解釋此菜是他們自家手打蝦肉和鱈魚而製,以前用龍躉,但為確保供應和質素已改由蝦和鱈魚,味道香脆彈牙,值得試。個人也很喜歡這個乳豬炒飯,略帶點酸甜,特別醒胃。至於鳳舞香羅也是得獎菜之一,但不見得出色,香菇還不菜,但雞肉略微失色,不夠嫩滑。花膠浸時蔬的湯底鮮甜,味道也不錯。
