we ordered our burger at 12. Then it got served after 12:25. I asked waitress why it took so long. the waitress educated me that this restaurant really cooks burger and it takes time. I ask her how long it took to cook a burger, she said 15-20 min. I bet she would say 30 min if I told her I have waited for 30 min. And, as you can imagine, from beginning to the end, the attitude is, I should wait, nothing is wrong, no apologies. or maybe the waitress was expecting me to apologize.

📍新京熹 New restaurant on Stanley Street that serves Beijing style hotpot for both lunch and dinner sessions. They have mini pots for per person, so that we can choose our own soup base. There are mainly two types which is the spicy one and traditional water like type. The spicy one is quite spicy when it keeps on boiling. The water one is a bit sweet with the herbal pack. I love their sauces here. The 麻醬 is thick! The other supplements are yummy together. Their...

Stepping into Kenko Shokuhin Ramen is like stepping into a little corner of Japan. The cozy space, run by a Japanese team, exudes authenticity and warmth. I opted for the Roast Pork Ramen, eager to delve into a classic. The broth was undeniably the star – rich, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. The noodles were cooked to perfection, boasting the ideal texture and bite. However, the roast pork, sadly, was a letdown. Instead of melt-in-your-mouth tenderness, it was disappo...

L’amour means love in French, the name of the fine dining restaurant perfectly reflects the passion and dedication that went into creating this exceptional culinary experience. Foie gras toast with caramel apple I was delighted by the unique combination of ingredients.is a remarkable combination that brings together the richness of foie gras and the sweet tang of caramelized apples. This exquisite dish is a true testament to the chef's ability to create harmonious flavors. Sea...

Hidden gem in SSP Last night, I embarked on a tantalizing culinary adventure at Tao's Thai, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of the city. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with intricate Thai décor and friendly staff who greeted me with genuine smiles. Shrimp Fried Rice: A Symphony of Flavors My first course was the shrimp fried rice, a classic Thai dish that exceeded my expectations. The rice was perfectly cooked, with a fluffy texture that absorbe...

Impolite waitress and poor food. No thank you and no good bye but just welcome at the beginning. We will not visit again. The view and environment is not as good as the pictures show on OpenRice . We visit this restaurant in the afternoon ,there are very few people there. The price is cheap but the food is also cheap too,the portion of the food is small and the taste is not good. The lunch set doesn’t include coffee and we need to pay $18 for the coffee.

Found a hidden gem in MOS! Takumi Yama has such a wide selection of Japanese izakaya food, from sashimi and sushi to skewers and grilled foods 🤩 The best part? Not only is everything delicious, it’s super value for money! 💰 . The taste of each dish was perfectly balanced, from the marinated tuna don 🍚 with special marinade made in-house, to the on-point seasoning on their skewers. The sprinkle of seaweed on top of the soft-shelled crab roll 🦀 added an ex...

Some months ago, B shouted us all tea from Milk Cafe. Without much expectation (and complete lack of appetite as I usually don’t eat much for lunch, not to mention tea), I was wowed by how tasty Milk Cafe’s 爆漿拉絲菠蘿包 was (well, just don’t compare it with the best pineapple bun in town that people would queue up for in Sai Kung la). I was sceptical at first about its flavour profile but gosh! Did the molten cheese complemented the pineapple bun well 🤯 So I ...

Siu mei is a type of Cantonese cuisine that requires great chef skills. Every siu mei restaurant has its own style that differentiates itself from the competitors. This time we came across "Yu Yu" in my neighborhood that has just opened for a couple of months. The boss welcomed every customer with a bowl of complimentary soup of the day, which was carrot and corn soup with chicken feet. ◆叉燒燒腩仔 Barbecue Pork & Roasted Pork Belly ◆燒鵝五寶 Roasted ...

Heard good things about this place before but I think things have changed for the worst. Starting Apr 1, 2024 their $580 lunch menu went from 12 pcs to 10 pcs but remained the same price. It’s not very good value for the money anymore. Not to mention the fish offered for the lunch menu are also not as good value. Omakase restaurants are dying after Covid, no doubt about that, but it’s sad to see that we were the only ones for lunch when this place used to be very difficult to book....
