剛撰文寫國金點心放題圖鑑,有人問翠玉軒又如何。在國金開業前,此店位於股市交易市場旁,何等高尊貴。現在仍可視為美心酒樓集團的旗艦店。我很喜歡此店裝修格局,認為環境比食品優勝。個人經驗體會如下:第1位:咖喱牛臉肉用上上等牛肉,加上咖哩惹味,有人「俾面」,是中環人所愛。第2位:龍皇餃賣相霸氣,餃內充滿龍蝦肉,味道比蝦餃濃郁,有新意。 第3位:脆脆龍鳳卷高級春卷,勝在造型好,如竹樹節節上升,生意人喜歡。第4位:瑤柱豆苗同樣是以食材討好你,兩大球瑤柱很貴氣,味濃得不得了。可以賺多兩「球」,好意頭。第5位:鮑魚酥鮑魚很鮮味,酥餅便一般水平。第6位:燕窩鷓鴣粥鷓鴣粥是冷門食品,不得不試。第7位:义燒酥賣相靚,要多人分享。第8位:义燒全是梅頭,肥瘦適中。第9位:瑤柱桶仔飯類似臘味竹筒飯,以瑤柱多取勝。第10位:燒賣蝦靚爽口。總括而言,以貴價食材,裝修設計取勝。 continue reading

Visited this renowned Cantonese restaurant and my fellow diners were unimpressed from the start as all signature dishes were sold out. Service was fair considering the crowds. We ordered the lesser-known recommended dishes; the ox tail was tender and rich but too heavily seasoned such that it left a lasting thirst, the steamed cod was smooth and fresh but the flavor of the "fungi flowers" were lost in preparation, the stuffed whelk with Portuguese sauce was somewhat ordinary, the "royal" beef cutlets were well marinated although the onion rings were soggy, the peppered and salted deep fried fish (椒鹽九肚魚) were crispy and golden but again overdoing the pinch of salt, the prawn in vegetable and mushroom stew was fresh and the grilled scallop was good but didn't go well with Peking duck wraps. All in all, perhaps we should give the place a second try with its gourmet dishes, as even with the credit card discount we considered $328 per head a bit overpriced for this meal without the too-popular items. continue reading

翠玉軒係美心集團旗下咁岩我有信用卡優惠,我同老婆來試下丫,因為係我同老婆結婚周年紀念日,所以我搵左間有名廚曾獲過獎又是米芝蓮一星嘅中菜廳,但其實翠玉軒又唔算我想像中咁貴者,晚市來講。【鳳膽花雕蒸虎蝦(配灼河粉)】上枱先即場撈河粉,未食已經聞到陣陣酒香,而且大蝦鮮甜彈牙。【咖喱牛臉肉】難得係牛臉肉,甚少食到,叫左黎試下,少少辣好惹味,加上脆口鍋巴,簡直絕配。【滋味炆牛尾】必點!送飯一流!牛尾肉非常嫩,又'林',吸收哂醬汁好野味!建議兩個人共享一份,因為份量頗大,一個人食再送飯會好易飽。【椒鹽九肚魚】 外脆內嫩,內裡又多肉又多水份,炸得岩岩好。下次一定會再來試下,服務又幾好,值得一讚 continue reading

和好姊妹們找地方談心,便試試翠玉軒。整晚都十分舒服,服務恰到好處,重點當然是食物好吃!因為胃口不太好,我點了些開胃小食,海蜇頭爽脆,蘿蔔和牛蒡鹹鹹甜甜的十分好吃, 胃口也立刻提升呢!點了每位計的廚師推介帶子,也是一致好評 !麵皮煙韌軟熟, 配合香煎帶子和魚子醬是享受呢~ 每客68元廚師推介的咕嚕蝦球,味道不算很突别,酸酸甜甜。不過蝦的質素很好,又大又彈牙。例牌的安格斯牛扒,想不到中式食肆有西 菜式,還配上炸洋蔥圈 喜愛牛的朋友可以試試~這個名字忘記了,是百花雞?脆皮雞裏釀入了蝦膠,很特別,也好吃。推介~想要些海鮮,但又不想叫一尾魚,於是點了廚師推介的蒸鱈魚。份量足,味道也很好, 香滑。這晚我們四人其實吃了很多,還開了一瓶玫瑰酒,合共才二千元,性價比很高。推介! continue reading
