To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

The Astor, all-day dining restaurant inside Eaton HK, invites guests to dive into delicious seafood dishes at their new Seafood Splash Buffet, starting from September 8 until October 31.

The plentiful spread showcases the best of the ocean on the cold bar, grill counter and beyond. Guests will find an abundance of shellfish on seafood counter during dinner service, such as Oysters, Boston Lobster, Crayfish, Slipper Lobster, Tiger Prawns and 4 kinds of crab (Jonah Crab, Brown Crab, Snow Crab, Swimmer Crab and more) on the popular cold counter, while those craving a taste of Europe will enjoy dishes like Prawn Risotto, Seafood Paella, Crab Linguine with Tomato Sauce, Steamed Mussels with Beer and more .

Joining The Astor’s buzzing Japanese counter is a new Lobster Temaki while the Yakitori counter welcomes items like Bacon-wrapped Mussels and Scallop Skewers.
Classic Cantonese Congee gets an upgrade with oyster, shellfish or crab and are a perfect lead into other Asian delicacies like Grilled Oysters with Garlic Sauce, Steamed Oysters with Ginger and Spring Onion, Grilled Tiger Prawns, Drunken Chinese Herbal Shrimp, Wok-fried Razor Clams with Black Bean and more. Of course, Singaporean icon Singapore Curry Crab also makes an appearance and should satisfy those lamenting missed travel this summer. Guests can also enjoy 50% off on Belstar Prosecco D.O.C (HK$195 per bottle, original price HK$390 per bottle) for matching with the seafood.
