吃過幾輪頭盤過後,輪到主菜出場。

我選擇了三文魚扒,賣相沒有半點驚喜,連我至愛的魚皮也欠奉,失望至極!
魚肉入口嫩滑但味道偏淡,需要蘸醬汁伴著吃。而伴碟的酥炸墨魚卻被醬汁浸至腍身,大大影響了食慾!

接著而來便輪到試下各款的沙律。這裡提供的羅馬生菜及butter lectuce皆屬翠綠爽口,配上honey balasmic vinegar來吃絕對是天仙配;另外自家做的一早弄定調好味的沙律也是相當美味 ,最特別的是一式四款擁有不同風格的沙律,下在其中的醬汁都是完全不同的 ---- 牛肉沙律用的是帶有少許芥茉及蛋黃醬在內的醬料,切成條狀的牛肉的texture也很特別,吃起來是淰淰糯糯不像在食肉;簡簡單單的一道燒蘑菇沙律,菇肥大肉厚咬起來自然就有質感有咬頭又鮮美;Thai pork salad的泰式辣醬汁有蠻重的香料味真的夠惹辣,出來們效果絕不比傳統泰菜店遜色;有機雞肉沙律對我而言是最有特色的 --- 洒在沙律上的是帶有粟米味道的甜爆爆米,而雞肉是超嫩滑的,配上那個同樣味甜甜的醬汁,感覺是頗孩童的很有玩味....

未喝它之先在端來前已逕自飄來一股源自海鮮的香氣。材料儘管只是得一小只蜆、蝦以及少許魷魚,吃來雖沒甚過人之處但那湯底卻是鮮甜甘口得令人不禁豎起拇指來。無他的,說老實話只要用料足而又熬得夠火喉的這樣又怎會不甜呢 ? 這實是最顯淺不已的道理...至於那片浸在湯內嗦滿了精華的塗了Gruyere cheese的蒜蓉法包,對我來講就更屬極品來....

前菜及湯是如斯的美味,但料想不到兩款主菜卻是比預想中不突出。一道名為"Capellini Pasta,Italian Scampi Tails,Black Ham,Fresh Cherry Tomatoes,Roasted Garlic,Basil & A Touch of Chili",capellini本身的處理是沒有問題,質感是沒太淰;Scampi tails亦很夠甜糯,不過最大的問題是源自整碟東西是弄至水汪汪的讓人吃得很不舒服,感覺就像吃湯麵一般。醬汁本身是調得味酸到暈之外所有材料如小蕃茄及basil等是雜亂無章的墊在碟底,在視覺上已被扣了分之餘味道方面也同樣是太"雜"的層次不夠分明,是一味的死酸令人受不了....

太太點的Baked Salmon Steak同樣平凡得不得了 ---- 三文魚扒沒甚味道的,嚐到的只是三文那種獨有的一點腥氣。去了皮的它就連唯一的賣點亦失去了;Baby squid本身夠軟身彈口但卻一點都不夠香脆,外皮有些淰淰的更是失去了光芒。至於那混入了吞拿魚肉碎的茄醬汁嚐起來尤像似罐頭製作的出品一般,唯一的特色是汁內下了不少的水欖味道帶點點苦苦的確成為賣點之一....

Tiramisu的質地是細滑的但酒香卻不見突出;朱古力慕絲伴紅莓醬的mousse很夠滑溜而朱古力味亦甘苦。與墊底的果醬的味配合起來是剛啱好;荔枝慕絲餅是我的最愛,原因在於荔枝一直是本人最喜吃的水果之一,用它作材料弄出來的任何食物,所帶來的那份獨有們清甜舌感是其他水果無法替代的;另外較特別的一道是以幼滑的mascarpone cheese配上酸味夠重的桃件,置頂在下配合著一小半件味甜到漏的開心果味道馬卡龍,這一類既有酸也存甜再添上軟滑口感的甜食,只有像Harlan這種肯花心思而又有點鬼才風格想法的人才能弄出來;置於最右端的桃味啫喱的質感就覺太稀又太"水"了;另外放在碟上的三款,千層酥的酥皮雖看似厚身但卻超鬆脆的,夾層的吉士打忌廉味天然不造作吃得滿嘴香甜;朱古力珍寶珠乃好睇多過好食,慕絲軟滑度尤過不及不能為人帶來驚喜;最後結尾的法式小蛋糕雖屬最回歸基本的一道但卻就最得我心 --- 小蛋糕是軟綿之外甜度又控制得宜又充滿牛油香,一不小心就馬上吞好幾件下肚了....

例牌押尾的咖啡只可用兩字去形容 : 那便是"香"與"濃"....

先後試了三間Harlan's旗下的餐廳,出奇地就以此店給我的印象較為遜色。但其他人的意見就剛好相反....

所以說呢,吃東西的口味真的很因人而異的....

在我食完main courses不久, 我已馬上出去拿desserts. 我基本所有desserts都食均, 而最surprised既就係佢地既拿破倫, 個custard好香甜軟滑, 個layers也做到好香脆好light.

不過有樣野唔好係,  d desserts 拎到埋位係room temperature而唔係凍既及有小小溶溶地,希望penthhouse可以注意下.

總結: 好滿意, 一定有下次.

Hand-crafted fresh pasta of the day - Black ink pasta with Tiger Prawns and pork totters, 很久沒有試這種墨汁麵. 因為試過好多次都好難食.呢個汁不會"胡口". 佢煮得好好woo, 不過凍左之後有小許油. 仲有7隻新鮮虎蝦. 不過, 個肉就差小小喇. 


Spanish josper oven Grilled hanger steak 8oz, 呢個牛煮得真係好好, soft and juicy. 如果其他餐廳食, 呢個至少要$280以上.
 (在jamxx KitXX 食過相似都要$3XX)

OMG seafood paella 飯的硬度夠. 因為傳統煮法係要有小小硬. 飯不多因為始終是配菜, 汁濃度剛好. 但海鮮好足又新鮮.


甜品都好好味,特別係個即製 Nitrogen Creation. 欣賞整的過程, 亦好鍾意食啊..因為係花生味, 外脆內軟. 食左2個..
. 職員話晚餐點這個甜品, 要$1XX


餐檸茶都好清啊


結論: 物有所值. 雖然無buffet 咁多選擇, 但我寧可食有質素的食物.

I ordered the H burger as my main and my friend had the salmon. I had a bite of the salmon, it was cooked just right, the fish was very moist and fresh, the ham wrapped around it added a very nice salty taste to it. My burger was great, especially the potato wedges. They were crispy on the outside and very fluffy on the inside, one of the best wedges I had. The beef patty was very juicy and tender, and the bun was hot and soft.

I tried most of the different desserts on the table. The choco cake and the meringue were my favorites. The meringue was very light and fluffy. All of the other desserts were quite good. However, I can’t find some desserts that others mentioned previously, I guess they change the dessert selections from time to time.

Spanish Duroc Pork Ribs Bomba Rice $288

我這個西班牙痴,來到這裡也要點paella,沒辦法,始終想試試不同廚做的paella會有甚麼分別;先說那pork ribs,pork ribs做得不錯的,肉質很軟,帶點甜香,肉味亦濃郁;而paella,鮮味是有的,用了很多chorizo,味道上比較濃亦比較鹹;而那米粒未夠煙韌彈牙,底部的米亦沒有輕輕的飯焦香;而旁邊那蒜醬是頗美味的,但問那侍應這個是甚麼時,她似乎不太清楚呢;雖然這裡不是米芝蓮餐廳,但員工也應該清楚那菜式是甚麼吧。

來Penthouse,當然要點steak,而且上次在Gold By Harlan Goldstein吃的hangar steak做得不錯的。而這份wet-aged,燒得很好,充滿了炭香;但似乎沒有因為經過wet-aged而令這prime變得更好,反而覺得肉味不算很濃郁;而肉質方面,也算是一塊合規格的Striploin Steak,但當然可以做得更好,肉質可以再軟一些。

這是Harlan的signature dessert吧,不論在Gold還是在Penthouse都有這個的;那士多啤梨味道頗清甜的,冰冰涼涼的很美味,質感上當然不及傳統的雪糕幼滑,但以分子雪糕來說,做得是不錯的;底下還有panna cotta,奶味濃郁,質感軟滑,不錯。

經過了一次Gold,再經過第二次的Penthouse後,還可以吧,沒有想像中的美味,可能這兩次Chef Harlan都不在吧,沒有他監督下,質素會有所不同? 我不知道,但如非必要,不會特意再來。而服務方面,雖然不算差,但可以更好的,畢竟我們每人吃了六百多元而不是六十多元呢,直到最後Chef Joe走了出來為我們介紹時,我才感受到那是服務。

餐廳的食物都有點特別,就像我們點的這個意大利雲吞,一般餐廳主要用芝士做餡料,但這個是全蟹肉,很好吃,配上酸酸甜甜的新鮮蕃茄醬汁,無得頂。雲吞只有三隻,有點意猶未盡,用剩下的醬汁配以麵包沾來吃同樣美味。

最後以甜品作結。朱古力脆皮包著芝士和蘋果粒,芝士又輕又香滑。偶爾在朱古力中吃到爆炸糖,澼瀝啪啦,添點玩味。旁邊的焦糖雪糕也很好吃,雪糕中夾著果仁碎,多重口感。本是完美的甜品,只怪自己多口,吃了雪條棒,很難吃的最後的一口。

雖然我們都不太喜歡硬硬的ciabatta,等到starter,帶來個不錯的開始。飯和意粉更是出色,感覺漸入佳境。怎料到了main dish的豬扒,竟是如此的令人失望。幸好多給一次機會,試埋甜品,才令這頓飯以好吃作結。沒有人知道往後的路要怎麼走,肯定的是起起跌跌無何避免,祝我倆牽著手一直走下去。三個月快樂⋯⋯

The squid appetizer was delicious and so were the crabcakes as well as the tuna tartare.

The bread Harlan serves is fresh and bountiful with lovely salty butter.

His serving team are outstanding.  FLuent in both English and Cantonese.  and they no his mantra and they know their food.  They are stylish and friendly and provide top tier service.

of 6 main courses the outstanding one is the Iberico bone-in pork steak with melted cheese on top.  This was sensational.  The pork was supersoft.
other notable entrees are the lamb, salmon and seabass.

What I also have to add is that the portion sizes of all are large.  They are American sizes.  I was expecting large prices with small portions.  I am surprised by previosu reveiws I've read.  This meal was quite fantastic.

The sides we ordered were thick cut fries with truffle sauce.  Thick cut onion rings with another glam sauce.  and tater tots with blue cheese dip.  i am cutting carbs and truing to eat healthy but I couldn;t resist these for a bite of each.  all of us concurred they were freshly and innotavely created.

for desert they have a great and interesting selection with a superb cheeseboard.

and we loved the cocktails.  such an extensive and accomadating set of drinks.

we will go back again to celebrate either my wife's birthday or my birthday in a big way because this is the place to see and be see.  and by the way the restaurant is gorgeous.  it;s so beautifully decorated and comfrtable.  it has a super chic modern vibe.  and the view is to die for.  amazing glass wall floor to ceiling with the best view of central.

we'll be back soon.

Other Info. : we were made to feel like kings. this is a super party place with great food.

地点挺好找的 从铜锣湾地铁时代广场出口出来 往北走到登龙街 右转便是 

金朝阳中心真是卧虎藏龙 楼下是Jamie's Kitchen 我也想去朝圣 但最近时间实在安排不过来了

29层是sushi to 也是GOLD旗下 30层便是PENTHOUSE

楼层高果然风景独佳 无需放眼便可看到维港 当日天气也不错

订位时有说过想要靠窗的座位 当时接话员告诉我说不能保证 但会记录下来 到时候看情况安排

我们特地早去 12点开门便到场 却还是被带到最后面的位置---完全不靠窗 离吧台也很远 

我去找waitress说明情况 因为不熟粤语 所以用英文 但似乎waitress小姐英文不太灵光 跟我说不清楚 

我也有说当时我提了要求 接话员说尽量安排 我们来这么早 就是为了靠窗 (我们是当天进去的第二桌)

何况既然靠窗位置不能预订 那为何不是先到先得呢?

终于waitressI小姐向领班模样的小姐求助 领班小姐说我们可以坐在靠窗的大桌 与别人拼桌 大桌是一桌6位 但中间可以不坐人(也就是一桌坐4人 分别坐在四个角) 我们欣然同意了

坐定之后 有waiter来问要喝什么水 忘记是在之前谁的食评中说道 这里不提供普通饮用水 只有瓶装的 所以我就点了杯果汁 给母亲来了杯红酒  但很快 waiter便给我们倒了水 所以其实是提供tap water的哦

中午的主菜包括意大利面、64度慢煮鸡胸、烤三文鱼排和汉堡 我们点了鸡胸和三文鱼排

此时此刻 看到吧台的我们已经食指大动 要开动啦!!

虽然是号称5米吧台 但其实看起来并不长哎…… 估计是内地的自助餐一般都种类非常多 (按这里是5米吧台算 内地我吃过的自助餐恐怕有一百米的哦


不过一向认为 食物在于精而不在多 100米的吧台自助餐中 一般我爱吃的也就几样而已  所以 还是赶紧来试试味道吧!

salad bar分为几块 已经拌好的沙拉包括:泰式魔芋沙拉、鸡胸沙拉、辣海鲜沙拉、蟹籽黄瓜丝沙拉、猪肉沙拉等等 我和母亲都特别喜欢蟹子黄瓜丝沙拉、海鲜沙拉和泰式沙拉 

蟹子黄瓜沙拉 清新的沙拉酱 配上爽脆的黄瓜丝 清香的蟹子味道

泰式沙拉 虽然是简单的魔芋 但是配上正宗的泰式酸辣酱汁 十分开胃

而海鲜沙拉中除了大虾 还有北极贝 更有玉米仔、一小颗的似乎是炸玉米碎 丰富了口感  十分美味

自己拌的沙拉我就爱凯撒 撒上厚厚一层芝士粉 加上香脆的面包干 能吃很大一盆哦!

此外 能放入沙拉中的小配料不少 核桃、葡萄干、松子、玉米粒等等 味道都不错

哦对了 有个猪肉酱配小饼干 味道很不错!

面包只有一种 香草味道  其实面包味道还不错 但连微热都算不上 配上香草酱 还是喷喷香的 

此外还有一种面包圈 味道普通

蜜瓜火腿cheese  芝士也只有一种硬芝士 蜜瓜两种 金黄色的蜜瓜味道很淡 不算好吃 反而是绿蜜瓜很香甜 蜜瓜都切的薄片 有点不够口感  火腿不算我的喜好 只尝了parma ham 还不错

总之 starter我吃了好几盘 基本已经吃饱了 哈哈

不过我是向来更偏好starter 对主菜反而不感兴趣

吃过三盘之后 示意waiter可以上主菜了

64度慢煮鸡胸 能吃出来鸡胸比较嫩 配上白香草汁 还好 side dish居然是香肠……我不吃香肠的 不过炸土豆块倒是味道不错

三文鱼排还可以 配的是粉红色土豆泥酱 哈哈 很清新的

终于到了甜品环节了 甜品看起来玲琅满目 很多想尝试的

但---我唯一觉得还不错的是提拉米苏 和一块小小的蓝莓慕斯 另有一个巧克力球 口感还比较丰富

其他的--不是质感奇怪 就是味道太淡 ------ 感觉好遗憾啊

母亲说红酒味道不错 我的mango peach果汁里面冰块太多 哈 

整体评价:starter的salad非常棒 很值得一吃 而且健康

主菜一般 可能牛排会好些吧 甜品虽然品种很多 看起来也精美 但味道不够精致和丰富 总体感觉有点虎头蛇尾

但想一想午餐才258+10%/人 已经十分超值了 所以 也不要太计较这些小瑕疵啦~~~

My friend said that the restaurant has been booked out for the past couple of weekends and it was packed when we were there on Saturday night. The decor was pretty casual with seats at the bar and simple wooden furniture but the eye-catching view of the harbor through its large windows all around was the main focal point of the restaurant. Most of the dishes were great for sharing and since we had 6 people, we just ordered a bunch of starters, pastas and mains to share!

I wasn't going to take picture of the bread at first since most restaurants in Hong Kong do not serve really good bread anyways but I changed my mind after I had a bite of the ciabatta with the pesto sauce! The crust was crispy with a soft and open texture on the inside while I loved the sauce was surprisingly tasty. It was fresh and tangy which made the bread all the more refreshing to eat.

Grilled Italian Baby Squid ($178) - we were impressed from the start with this appetizer as the baby squid had been grilled to perfection. They were so soft and tender while the accompanying chorizo, haricot beans, and saffron aioli all came together very well. So good we ended up ordering another one! (5/5)

Scottish Salmon Carpaccio ($158) - the texture of the salmon was amazing as it was very tender but still firm at the same time. It went quite well with the Mediterranean salsa and lemon basil dressing as the flavor of the salmon still managed to stand out. (4.5/5)

Spanish Farm-Raised Bluefin Tuna Tartare ($208) - topped with a slow-cooked egg and anchovy, the tuna tartare was delightfully fresh and flavorful especially after the yolk had been mixed in. I wasn't sure about the placement of the single anchovy though as it just ended up being brushed aside by my friends when they were going for the tuna. Perhaps it should be more chopped up? (4.5/5)

Harlan G's Deviled Crab Cake ($198) - as I was cutting into the crab cake, I was surprised to see big chunks of crab meat inside! The texture of the crab cake was a bit softer than expected. I loved the little droplets of mango and salted black bean salsa though and only wished there were more of it. (4/5)

Black Ink Bomba Rice ($288) - there were 3 kinds of stone-pot paella to choose from and we ended up choosing the black ink Bomba rice with sea scallops and crispy baby squid. When I think of paella, I expect big portions so I guess this is a smaller version of that. There were a lot of scallops and squid though which were both delicious to eat. The rice could have been more flavorful though. (4/5)

Hokkaido King Crab Ravioli, Tomato Basil Sugo ($388) - this was easily the most disappointing dish of the night. For the high price, we were given 3 pieces of ravioli but the crab filling was not as fresh and sweet as expected and broke apart easily. The tomato basil sauce was also just average and not memorable as well. (3/5)

Spanish Duroc Pork Ribs ($358) - hands down this was the best dish of the night! The pork ribs had been slow-cooked and then grilled at 500 degrees to get crispy and juicy. The meat was super tender and broke away easily from the bones, but what made the dish was the balsamic vinegar sauce that came with the ribs! The tart and tangy flavors of the sauce complimented the ribs perfectly. So finger-licking delicious! (5/5)

Australian Grain-Fed Yellow Chicken for 2 ($428) - another must-have dish here! Marinated with garlic, herbs, sea salt, lemon and black pepper, the chicken was amazingly tender and succulent while full of flavor. Even the white meat portion that is typically bland and dry was just as tender as the red meat. This dish is meant for sharing but I wouldn't blame anyone for hogging this all to themselves. (5/5)

Verdict - I was impressed with many of the dishes we tried especially the pork ribs and chicken that were cooked using the Josper - a Spanish grill and oven that can heat up to 500 degrees. The prices are not cheap and the portions can be rather small but I think Penthouse is great for big groups to share and try many different dishes!

送來就是這樣, 其實我不太懂吃這類的 burger, 應該好像麥記的夾著吃, 還是分開?
不過看來夾著是不可能, 不過不可不提的是那個包是很脆 (比翠華的脆脆奶油朱還脆)
吃第一口才發現 medium beef + 脆包 能產生這樣的化學作用 - 值得推介
雖然唔容易分享, 還是切小件讓太太試 - 她也很喜歡那個口感

而太太叫的 medium rare steak, 下刀切的時候有血水出 (不好的話可以 order 較熟)
但相個waiter 建議是正確, 肉外有少少接近燒焦, 但內的肉與很腍
當然是因為肉本身質素都高, 有很香的肉味, 容易吃

其實吃完 main 已經吃不下去, 幸好 dessert 是另一個胃負責

dessert 有 cake, mousse 之類, 有達十多款, 每樣試一個都已經要捧著肚而走
有好多都做得好好, 好details & good presentation
成餐加上個 view (都看到 victoria harbour), 好滿足.
