Food review as below

(1) Hokkaido scallops - slightly seared. Quite fresh and not rubbery.


(2)lobster bisque- full of flavour


(3) pan fried foie gras-creamy, can’t go wrong with a quality liver


(3) a medium black Augus ribeye, aged, not bad quite beefy and done to perfect medium as ordered


(4) mussels- quite small in mussel size but fresh. Cooked with beer and cleaned really well. Not quite filling as a main but tasted good. Nailed it. Comes with chips. Chips were the star of the main. Yum


(5)he bread & butter pudding-unfortunately overcooked. Not very pudding like, more like boiled egg to me but made to order to thumb’s up for that.

Environment- Small only 4-5 tables. Cozy. Hope more people will support them as they been here quite a while and its hard to keep a restaurant surviving in bad economy.


Staff- Excellent service. Warm and friendly. Observant.


Price- Can’t complain at all. Bargain.


Overall impression: Quite nice environment for a catch up with friends, cozy family like.

Went to this place for my fd’s bday as they provide private area , the requirement is to order their set dinner ($500 + 10%) and order drinks from them. However, most dishes need to add around $200 (like lobsters, beef cheek, ..etc) so end up the cost was like 900pp include 2 bottles of wine. As a joint locate in central Gough street with this price, I actually expect more from them.. but apparently nothing seems meet the standard. This is more like a tai kok tsui or mk level local “陀地西餐”. I think there are lots better choices around the area.

But to be fair, is still nice to have a private area for fd’s bday, especially during this COVID time..

今日有好消息心情特別好,中午想食返餐好,呢間餐廳bookmark左但未試,就諗住去試吓。好耐之前喺法國食過好好食嘅青口,呢間主打係龍蝦同青口所以決定一試。佢午餐有包餐湯,但你都想試用龍蝦湯就索性加$50,仲叫埋青口配薯條。 龍蝦湯係高質素濃計夠,個人十分喜愛。主菜嚟到青口份量都算多,青口大細適中,食落口感係高質素,忌廉汁配好好美味,直接入口飲都可以,但如果有其他煮法清淡些食到青口原味就更好。最後個叫咗熱檸水,特別想講佢唔係淨係比一杯,係俾多個茶壺你可慢慢添加多三四杯都可以。總結呢間都算高質素的餐廳,價錢方面午市相對較高,約$300,值得一試!

I ordered the lobster linguine and my friend ordered mussels. The mussels tasted good but the lobster was horrendous. One would think with a name like Paul’s Kitchen “Mussels and Lobster” that the lobster would be a star dish. Instead it tasted bland and it certainly was not fresh. It was not even cheap either... do they really expect me to pay 300 for a lobster linguine that taste that bad?

煎北海道帶子
連屋企樓下都有嘅北海道帶子,但好多時都會以刺身方式食用,煎帶子其實會令帶子表面焦糖化令甜度提高,要做到外脆內嫩需要準確拿捏火侯。此道帶子尺寸略小,外脆有足夠的焦糖化,但可惜裡面略為熟,最理想應該入面仍然係處於流心狀或生嘅狀態。

白酒煮青口
每次入店前,都會問一問今日有無青口同邊到嘅青口,夏天季節南半球產地較為當造,是日為澳洲活青口,澳洲青口尺寸一般較大,殼亦比較重,所以500g 只有十數隻,澳洲青口特點係海水味濃,肉質煙韌,大廚煮至7~8成熟,令青口保持嫩滑,搭配西芹,蒜頭,傳統手法將鮮味推到極致,但敗筆係白酒過多,帶來些微苦味。食青口最佳配搭當然係薯條,識食就唔會點茄汁,而係鮮甜嘅青口湯汁。

整體來講,食物的確係唔錯,尤其是係海鮮。對於係行過Random揀嘅一間餐廳,覺得係有驚喜嘅,會介紹比朋友
價錢方面,唔算貴但都唔係平,但係中環要食西餐,又有海鮮又有排,都算係咁。唯一美中不足嘅地方,係因為店舖比較細,廚房油煙味有少少左飄咗出嚟。

點知再上仲衰!更梅!而且水汪汪咁,明明燒嫁喎!而且我有理由相信係賣淨果半邊
然後再同老細講,都係梅!佢就即刻收走話「得啦,呢個餐唔收你錢!」然後即刻收晒啲野,擺明趕我地走
仲要堅持話岩岩個龍蝦係同一隻,係垃圾桶拎返出黎比我地睇,喂 衛生少少好無🤮

仲要西口西面咁,咁我地都即刻賣單走,但佢都好小家,明明我地仲有甜品(都無打算食啦)但佢問都無問我地一句

講真一個餐都唔平,龍蝦都要另+$200,姐係一個餐未加一都成$700 ,真係一啲都唔值得,食物質素都差,但服務態度更差!

Decided to check out this place for my Birthday dinner... What a find!!The scallops were perfectly cooked, the suggested wine was a great pairing.We shared the lobster bisque (home made) something very special with chunks of lobster, well seasoned.The lobster main was perfect and went well with the little garlic bread, crunchy and unexpectedly tasty.I was very surprised by the crispness of the French Fries.. ate more than I should have.The bread and butter pudding (with a candle for my birthday)

Decided to check out this place for my Birthday dinner... What a find!!
The scallops were perfectly cooked, the suggested wine was a great pairing.
We shared the lobster bisque (home made) something very special with chunks of lobster, well seasoned.
The lobster main was perfect and went well with the little garlic bread, crunchy and unexpectedly tasty.
I was very surprised by the crispness of the French Fries.. ate more than I should have.
The bread and butter pudding (with a candle for my birthday) was light, full of flavor and gone in a flash.
I would recommend this place for a couple or a large group (holds 25 upstairs).
The most important detail I felt worth mentioning was the impeccable service, great suggestions, knows both food and wine and made the evening that more special.
We will be back for more for sure!

同事叫的『Seasonal Mussels & Frites 300g』($178)青口很新鮮,用白酒和忌廉做的湯底味道鮮甜。雖然睇落好大碟,但三百克扣除殼後其實不多。餐廳沒有主動上空碟裝殼,美中不足。

整體黎講,呢度嘅味道四平八穩,但份量多數偏細。計埋環境嘅話都係物有所值嘅。
