Anyways. How often do you see a Vietnamese restaurant inside a hotel. Vietnamese food, to me, is more like, local food, not so delicate kinda dishes. But this place, Le Soleil, is inside Royal Garden Hotel, third floor and overlooking the atrium. Quite a relaxing and chill restaurant. Very spacious and great for chit chatting! 


They have lunch sets to choose from. 
I chose the Crispy fried spring roll, rice paper rolls with fresh shrimp, and the steam roll as appetiser;
while for main, I chose the Vietnamese beef noodles in soup. For this main, the price is @ $178
The set also comes with a dessert and a drink.

The spring roll, rice paper shrimp rolls and the steam roll were very nicely put together. 
The spring roll is very fresh, crispy, lightly fried, so it wasn't too oily.
The rice paper shrimp rolls and also the steam roll were yummy also.

The Vietnamese beef noodles in soup, well, its not entirely authentic. If you've been to vietnam, you know how unforgettable the REAL viet beef noodle taste like. But considering the environment, the food quality (beef was nice, soup was alright), even though it wasn't quite authentic, it taste quite refreshing. If only the portion could be bigger...

The dessert of the day is some kinda herbal jelly in condense milk. I liked it!


Well, still, for Vietnamese food, I still think it is quite overpriced. But it is definitely a great place for lunch, to chill, to relax, to chat with wonderful friends!

今天約了閨蜜談心事,想兩個人靜靜地吃一頓下午茶,忽然想起帝苑酒店的越南餐廳,連續數年榮獲米芝蓮推介餐廳,就決定去試一試。由於餐廳位處酒店之內,現場環境優雅,燈光柔和,確是吃悠閒下午茶的好去處。二人下午茶套餐,除一般西式餅食外,當然還包括特色的越南小食,如沙律、春卷、拉椰糕、芒果糯米飯……等,除此之外還有頗具特色的香芒椰子糕和椰青果凍。細細品嚐過這越南餐廳各款食物後,覺得它們都很有水準,糕點不會太甜,而且賣相亦很精緻。各款食物中,留給我最深刻印象的,就是椰青果凍和香芒椰子榚,㕑師用心的將椰青水和椰青肉做成蒟蒻小花果凍,放在浸滿芒果汁和西米的名牌小盤裡,清甜的椰青果凍配上濃濃芒果汁,簡直絕配。吃著精緻的越南小食,加上我們選擇的龍眼冰和香濃越南咖啡,為這個下午茶劃上一個完美的句號。

細細品嚐過這越南餐廳各款食物後,覺得它們都很有水準,糕點不會太甜,而且賣相亦很精緻。

各款食物中,留給我最深刻印象的,就是椰青果凍和香芒椰子榚,㕑師用心的將椰青水和椰青肉做成蒟蒻小花果凍,放在浸滿芒果汁和西米的名牌小盤裡,清甜的椰青果凍配上濃濃芒果汁,簡直絕配。

說真的,身後那張檯,說是神位也不為過,它孤令令的在樓梯左邊,而餐廳接待+其他檯卻全部在右邊,中間就是洗手間入口,我坐在神位,人人都可以仰望我,真的感到有點不爽。
肚子打鼓,還是醫肚再說,要了個午市套餐:
椰子海鮮湯
湯的份量夠,但料的份量「嚴重不夠」,一隻蝦+一小粒帶子+一小片魷魚+少許香茅絲,就是這樣,五星級的湯……

紅酒炆牛尾配飯
不太差,但不是我心目中酒店級的紅酒炆牛尾,牛尾的肥油全浮在面,飯沒有飯香,不過伴碟的炒芥蘭卻很可口

甜品
喜出望外之作,在一般三色冰材料,加了一抹焦糖,整杯甜品的味道變得非一般,難道酒店真的只能靠甜品殺食?

餐飲
要了荷花茶,只有香味沒甚麼茶味的茶吧

好了,這次酒店餐飲體驗是一般過一般的,望著有點陳舊的酒店,除了那片天窗,似乎沒有其他令我有意欲再來的景致。

清甜滋味的酸子汁配上老虎蝦,帶出老虎蝦鮮味之餘,又加添清新的感覺,本來是不錯的菜式,但在有比較之下,老虎蝦的肉質不及大蝦般爽甜彈牙,完全給比下去了。

Deluxe Set Menu的甜品拼盤是焦糖咖啡燉蛋+椰子布甸,跟Set Menu那份甜品相隔了10分鐘才送來,而且還是在我們追問後才送上;椰子布甸的椰子香不太突出,反而奶味較香濃,口感滑溜,味道比那沒誠意的馬卡龍好得多。

雖然現在流行慢食,但動輒兩小時以上的午餐,不是人人有這樣的耐性。吃完一道菜式才上下一道是固然的事,但亦沒必要隔得太久吧?吃完頭盤之後,其餘主菜式皆相隔—段頗長時間才送上,當上檯的菜式都不是熱騰騰的時候,我們就明白到是餐廳的人手不足了,敞大的餐廳只得三位侍應,即使這天餐廳只屬半滿,應接不暇仍是自然的事,吃完一道菜要待上好一段時間才有侍應來收碟,埋單的時候想要找侍應都很困難,讓客人有如此被待慢的感覺,服務會被扣分呢!

Le Soleil‏ 越南菜以西式方法演繹,比傳統越南菜高檔得多,賣相美觀的確無庸置疑,可是除了美觀的賣相,內涵同樣重要,食物質素算不上盡善盡美,部份確實甚為美味,但部份卻未能令人滿意,整體的水準不夠穩定。
