說真的,怕吃生野的朋友可能不太喜歡,但我就很喜歡!它吃起上來,感覺是超 fresh的,而且當中我吃到有牛油果蓉,對我來說牛油果是 super good food,好像吃沙律一樣,十分新鮮,很健康呢!

之後就到主菜了,朋友點了巴馬火腿黑毛豬脊肉卷伴薯蓉 ( Iberico pork tenderloin wrapped in Parma ham, glazed with fruit mustard roasted bell peppers, red onion and mashed potato)。
黑毛豬脊肉卷的肉質不會太硬,是十分爽口、彈牙;而豬脊肉卷的外層被巴馬火腿包住,好特別的食法呢!薯蓉份量剛剛好,吃下不會覺得太飽滯。

另一個主菜:哈哈,我們又點了關於 Parma Ham 的東東 =p
就是:巴馬火腿、蕃茄粒、水牛芝士、芝麻葉、帕馬森芝士薄餅 ( Parma Ham, diced tomato, Mozzarella, arugula and Parmigiano )。
這個 pizza 超大份量呀,雖說個 pizza 是薄薄的,但它的材料十足, 蕃茄粒、芝麻葉等在巴馬火腿底下,整個配搭都很健康,可是個 pizza 真的太大個,我跟朋友都吃不完呢!

一向到ifc都是shopping. 今次除了shopping還在isola bar & grill吃了一頓美味的晚飯.Isola bar & grill有indoor 和outdoor 位置,今次安排坐在indoor,雖然不是window seat但大大的落地玻璃也將香港的美麗夜景一覽無遺,心情也變好呢!一坐下waitress就放下一個麵包籃,裡面有5款麵包,款款都不同,軟軟的麵包十分美味,一下子吃到停不下來,哈哈。今次晚餐頭盤點了Parma Ham with Sweet Cantaloupe Melon滿滿的一碟,哈蜜瓜很香甜,配搭parma ham剛剛好。主菜是 Rosemary Roasted Spring Chicken ,份量很足。雞肉很嫩滑, 配合Rosemary十分香囗。四件雞脾肉啖啖肉最適合愛吃肉的我。至於甜品是Vanilla Panna Cotta with red berries compote ,Panna Cotta滑嘟嘟的,奶味亦很香濃吃完很滿足,將是晚晚餐劃上完美句號。

Noddy: 食物賣相討好而且份量不少!先講吞拿魚帶子他他,我本人怕腥,而個吞拿魚的確係有d腥,但係配合中間的牛油果同少少青蘋果,食落好好味!而且超fresh! 係夏季appetizer 嘅好選擇!上面一層嘅帶子本身不太甜,無咩味,食咗都估唔到佢係咩。

Gui: With the cucumber and avocado, this is an excellent refreshing choice for the hot summer we are currently experiencing in Hong Kong.  The raw tuna is tasty and you have a big portion for your money.   Noddy thought it was a bit "fishy" taste but he doesn't like fish much.  I strongly recommend this during a hot day as it is light and highly refreshing.

Noddy: 鹽焗魚(我覺得勁似鹽焗雞)好好食! 首先賣相好特別,就算唔好食,upload張相上fb都可以呃下like! 佢用wasabi豆嘅綠色做外層(其實只不過係鹽造嘅外殼,佢可以好似彩虹糖咁將佢染成多種不同顏色吖!不過我地估佢呢個wasabi色係想話比你知「唔係唔食得,不過好重口味囉」,我試咗啖,咸到即lur!)。 個外層包住條魚焗令到條魚味道啱啱好!不用額外調味/點醬。而且魚肉好滑。我好鍾意食seabass, 但我覺得條魚可以再creamy d! 另外要讚下旁邊的足料 “baby vegetables”, 好多款,好新鮮健康!

Gui: If you are a fish lover like me, continue with the sea bass plate (it's my favourite fish)!  The serving is surprising and unique: they bake the fish trapped in salt paste and when the plate arrives at your table, they crack the paste... voila, the fish reveals itself!  Excellent as they removed most of the bones so you can save the trouble!  I had wished for the sea bass to be a bit creamier, but overall excellent choice and I loved the saltiness of the dish.  Also gets my love as it comes with lots of yummy vegies!

Noddy: 最後甜品係panna cotta, 我覺得panna cotta係點整都唔會好好食又唔會好難食嘅甜品,所以個 vanilla panna cotta 本身味道就ok啦,好食嘅係d酸妹妹嘅mixed berries, 我最愛係個blue berry, 作為結尾甜品不太漏!奸奸巧!

Gui: The panna cotta was good.  Well-infused vanilla taste and great mixture of sweet berries.  However, I have to confess that panna cotta is not Noddy and I's favourite dessert.  So even though it was yummy, we are not big fans.

最後侍應仲比咗朱古力及餅乾,兩樣都好好食,但係又唔好意思開聲問佢攞多d囉!

After the entire meal and dessert, the waiter brought us this surprise treat.  This is just how great they are!  Really perfect service always there to take care of you.  This is the type of simple treat that makes Isola different than other restaurants. 

Isola 絕對係一間有景有美食嘅餐廳,拍拖約會都一流的有情調餐廳!

I strongly recommend Isola for any occasion when you want to spend a decent sum without exaggeration and get a good experience, good view, wonderful service and food.  I will definitely be back soon either with clients or friends!

Beef Carpaccio with Shaved Goose Liver Terrine, Black Truffle, Parmesan, Argula & Truffle Vinegraitte
Looking at the picture and menu, I only realize now that the goose liver terrine was missing! But the plate in general was super yummy!! Thin slices of beef Carpaccio match so well with the truffle scent! The rocket was also my favorite! I just wish that there were more oil on the beef so it won’t be all stick together.

Never tried Paccheri pasta before, it was surprising very very good!! The pasta is very big and thick, it was perfectly cooked, totally el dente!! The tomato lobster sauce was very delicious and addictive. It was so sweet and well flavored! The pasta was served with half a lobster. All the meats were served in the pasta, including the super tender claw! I wish there were more pasta!! I am totally coming back for this dish!

Apple Tart
The apple tart was served with vanilla ice-cream. The tart itself is very thin crusted with a little bit of apple in it. It was very crispy and fresh! I especially love the taste of mixing it with the giant ice cream!

The service was very good. Waiters are attentive and taking care of the details. They even clean our table in between every serving! Isola is definitely a place to be revisited!

I was hoping that my main dish would be better, a linguini with seafood. Again, totally tasteless. It was supposed to have chili in it, so I expected a little heat. But not only no heat, there was just no taste. There was sand in the shellfish that crunched in my teeth. Ugh, overall it was just a no. 

Simply put, I would not recommend, definitely for the price. I'm sure there must be a lot better places with a view and good food in this price range. Or if you must go here, stick with a pizza, which looked like it might be OK.

I reckon our table is the best table for couples who want a romantic evening.

The a la carte menu carries a vast range of Italian dishes. It is a bit pricey though, with dishes priced at HKD180+. Well I guess we have to pay for the magnificent view of the Victoria Harbour, nothing comes free in HK. The wine list was extensive too, we drove tonight so we didn't get any drinks.

Beef carpaccio with shaved goose liver terrine - HKD198
Our antipasti is a beautifully plated beef carpaccio topped Parmesan, goose liver terrine, arugula, black truffle and truffle vinaigrette. The truffle vinaigrette was heftily used and overpowered everything else on the dish. The arugula was a tad too wet for the same reason. The goose liver terrine was a pleasant surprise, added an icy, smooth texture to the dish.

The trifola pizza was a stone baked pizza with black truffle, crescenza, mozzarella and mache leaves. The pizza base was floury but was very dense and weighted heavy on the palate. The rim was crunchy but many parts were burnt and tasted bitter. The overall flavour was in good balance with a mild truffle flavour and light cheese flavour. I was a bit let down as I reckon the truffle taste can be stronger and real shaved truffle should be used given the price.

Iberico pork tenderloin wrapped in Parma ham - HKD348
The Iberico pork was nicely grilled with an aromatic charred edge. It was very meaty and flavourful but a bit rough in texture. Sadly I could not taste the Parma ham, so the whole point of wrapping is gone. The mashed potato was delightful, it was smooth and buttery. The bell peppers were the best thing on the dish, it was juicy and sweet!

Although I commented Isola is pricey earlier, their dishes are actually generously portioned, which now I think can justify the price. The food overall did not impress me, and I got a bit annoyed at the end of the meal as the server were not too attentive. Perhaps it was because we sat at the corner of the dining room, we had a hard time getting attention from the server. I guess it will be the view rather than the food that will bring me back to Isola Bar & Grill next time.

鱸魚的肉質非常滑溜,不但完全不腥 (我是吃不下魚腥的!),而且亦保留了魚的肉汁,相信這與它的焗法有莫大關係,鹹香軟滑,一點也不覺膩。
吃這菜的時候我就伴了杯「Brut」的 sparkling wine,海鮮配 white sparkling wine,錯不了。

接著當然到主菜出埸啦!我呢款如此特別的是鹽焗鱸魚伴火箭菜沙律,特別在於用來焗鱸魚的東東,摸起來又硬,上碟時還有一個綠色的蓋,當侍應生交到我手時,再叉走個蓋,熱騰騰的鱸魚香噴噴的展現在眼前,大家都忍不住好奇,究竟綠色硬賓賓呢個係甚麼來的?何解焗出來的鱸魚不但沒有腥味,反而又滑又帶點點咸香!秘密原來是用鹽巴加麵粉搓成的粉團包裹住鱸魚去焗,這樣不單可以保留魚的肉汁,更可以帶出食材原本的鮮味!聽起來原理就好似叫化雞一樣!魚很好味,不過沙律就一般,麻麻地合胃口,我還是較喜歡凱撒沙律多一點呢!

火熱的蘋果派上放上冰凍的雲尼拿雪糕,個佈局好有心思,唯雪糕太甜,顯得蘋果派有點酸,加上雪糕融得快,亦令蘋果派失去原有的外脆內軟的令我期待的部分,所以我對這個甜品就一般啦!不過不失啦!

而這裡的蘋果批真是有一片片的蘋果, 不是蘋果蓉, 我自己就喜歡這樣整法, 加上鬆脆的酥皮, 我自己好愛這個甜品.由於我食得較為甜, 所以覺得甜度適中, 但朋友就覺得甜咗一點, 這個就因個人口味而有所不同.這餐真是好豐富. 最後, 待應還奉上朱古力和甜餅, 真是好驚喜.

Bread Basket There were a total of 4 different types of bread that were all deliciously warm and fresh. I especially liked the herby focaccia and bread crackers. 
After putting down the bread, other servers came over to offer olive oil and balsamic vinegar, which were both of nice quality.
  After we cleared the first basket, another basket was brought to us automatically .

(Mango) Strawberry Smoothie This was my sister's drink. It was a nice drink to have on such a hot day. However, there was no sign of any taste of mango, so we think it was probably just a strawberry smoothie. 
 Nonethess, the ingredients were fresh, and it was refreshing to have.

Tuna & Scallop Tartar This was a fun looking layered dessert that was quite big in portion. At the bottom, were cucumber slices, then on top was horseradish in between some fresh tuna and scallop; topped with green apple and wine gelatin and cheese. You just knew it would be good without tasting it. 
 This was refreshing to eat, as everything was so fresh. Horseradish is always good with raw fish, and the same goes for the green onions on the side. The sweetness of the green apple and wine gelatin brightened the dish.  It was good.

Baked Seasalt Crusted Sea Bass served with Rocket Salad and Baby Vegetables 
When this was served, the salt crust on top of the fish is removed in front of you; displaying the beautiful white flesh of the fish. 
 Again, the portion was quite big. Some parts of the fish were a little tough, and might have been overcooked. Also, it was quite salty. The salad was essential to balance the taste. Although the fish was very salty, we still enjoyed it as the taste and flavours were good, and the work involved for the salt crust should be appreciated.

Okay, so this was a very good pizza, but after the appetizer, bread, and main , my sister and I were actually getting full, and had to force ouselves to finish it. 
 A family of 3 beside us shared this pizza, but me and my sister finished this plus all the dishes above, and the dessert that was about to come. Yes, sometimes we get frightened by our own appetites too. T_T Now, back to the pizza.

This stone baked pizza had a thin crust with the toppings black truffle, crescenza, mozzarella, and mache leaves. I know it sounds simple, but this was simply delicious because fine ingredients were used. The black truffle was wonderful with the cheese. Also, the sweet nutty mache leaves were an excellent choice to spread on top of the pizza in my opinion.

Apple Tart with Mascarpone and Amaretto Biscuits  It was cute how this was served.
 Who took my fork? 
 The pastry was flaky and crispy. I was surprised to see that the mascarpone was in the form of ice-cream. Then, the apples were tart and the mascarpone went nicely with them. I really liked the ice cream.
