There are enough review for 老飯店. I just want to highlight, the simpler the dish, the harder it is. I always love cold plate like 白切肉, 鎮江餚肉 and basic stir fry 清炒蝦仁. 老飯店 does it very very well. The 蔥燒海參 also exceptional. Note of caution, it's quite a pricey restaurant !

- the green onion within are making the taste very good and salty

- lettuce n pork are good
- this is a good dish, not too greasy

"cheung cha" Duck
- the smoke duck taste is quite special
- the little flour biscuit on the side are sweet - or shall i call those steam bun? they are nice
- crispy skin after deep friend, very good dish

steam pork dumpling
- this is normal
- enough soup in the dumpling
- the meat is ok...but its' a bit too fulfilling

pan fried prawn
- this is a bit greasy
- the prawn is right to size
- very appealing

smoke egg with walnut
- the egg is cute
- it's a smoke taste i never knew this exist, i do like it
- walnuts are very crispy

- this is very good
- the pork are half fat and half lean

電話訂檯的態度很差,起初都好擔心,但坐落發覺一般的侍應都好有禮貌、好有水準,幾impress。場內不是十分大,但今次坐偏廳,只有4張檯,比平時的酒樓靜好多,亦有九龍公園泳池景。核桃薰蛋,ok啦,薰蛋一般但核桃好脆。炸花卷 – 唔駛點奶都好好味白切肉 – 伴青瓜及粉皮,上菜時十分清淡,主要靠蒜泥紅椒豆豉油醬釣味,但個豉油醬好味壽包 – 豆沙的,有少少蛋黃,有2塊葉好精緻,但包皮好硬…$10@整體的菜都偏貴,醉鴿一隻要 $108

那天是我老爸的大壽, 想了很久才想到去香港老飯店一試, 是上海菜, 本以為這間冠冕堂皇的店會好吃一點, 唉.... 誰不知, 我的吃後感是點強差人意~ 不過值得一讚的是他們的服務, 嗯.. 很有禮貌很有善~ 好... 回正題~ 說說菜吧....那天我們一共點了9道菜, 雖然看相片會覺得好像好好吃的樣子, 其實水準都是一半一半而已:1.薰魚 -- 口感ok, 但是不夠入味; 2. 無鍚燒脆鱔 -- 味道太甜, 而且有點脆得過火 (即係太乾了)3. 素鵝 -- 味道幾好, 不過沒有什麼特別4 章茶鴿 -- 我想是比較好的一道菜, 鴿的大小剛好, 也沒有太乾, 肉汁有保留5 官保蝦拼清炒蝦仁 -- 這個是我覺得最差勁的一道菜, 蝦一點都不爽, 而且小都不行, 官保的味道應該是濃的, 可惜出來卻是淡淡的~很失望!6 干扁4季豆 -- 也是比較好的一道菜~ 味道剛好.7 砂鍋雲吞雞 -- 就是湯一個嗎......8 小籠飽 -- 小籠飽有湯汁, ok 9 壽包 -- 有著幾十年吃壽飽的老爸覺得個涵弄得不夠好~ well, 這個真的是見仁見智, 我又覺得OK收費: $1500 (4

故終合來說, 這間的收費跟水準是不合正比, 老實說, 我給了這樣子的價錢, 我也許可以在別的地方吃得開懷一點開心一點了~ 而且那個蝦是完全不合理, 大家猜是多少$$? 那個官保蝦拼清炒蝦仁的收費是$340大元呀~~~
我真的吃到一肚子都是火!!!!
