很久沒來這裏吃飯,感覺他退步了。 扁皮鴨一點也不好吃,燒鱸魚肉質很硬, 醉雞也很一般。整體上質素中下,比以前的確差很遠啊, 餐牌已經很少選擇,點了羊肉沒有,點了高力豆沙又沒有。侍應生人數也不夠,很難招呼,雖然只有幾枱客,真的不像在酒店內用餐。

Our pleasant early lunch on 15 June started with one of their signature dishes, sautéed shrimps with tea leaves, plus a big bowl of soup noodles with shredded chicken. The shrimps tasted fresh with a nice texture and a mild tea flavour. The texture of the noodles was good; the chicken was moist and tender; the serving was surprisingly big and enough for the two of us, the soup base was not as flavourful as we expected though. We needed to wait a bit for our next order as understandably it took some time to prepare a smoked crispy chicken with tea leaves. When it was served, we found the presentation appealing and when we tucked in, we enjoyed every bite of the flavourful, juicy & tender meat. All in all it was a very satisfying dining experience.

醃篤鮮據說源自徽菜,流傳到江南,後來成為上海的本幫菜。曾經聽過城中一位原籍上海的著名食家解說,「醃」(或作腌)是指經醃製的鹹肉,「鮮」就是新鮮的肉類,而「篤」就是做法,以小火長時間慢煮而成。所以醃篤鮮就是用鹹肉及鮮肉以慢火細燉的湯品,材料還包括百頁結、冬筍、小棠菜或津白,味道鹹香而鮮,湯水濃郁。這個砂鍋醃篤鮮也能做到這一點,可笑的是年青時大夥去到上海菜館,每次點的都是酸辣湯、上海粗炒、小籠包、炸銀絲卷及豆沙鍋餅,彷彿上海菜就是這樣的。

家鄉紅燒獅子頭是近來比較少食,忽然想起來而點的。少食的主要原因是嫌有些食店做得那豬肉球很柴,幸好這裡做的仍有肉汁,食起來軟腍而不柴,幾團很大的肉球,外面還燒成一層薄皮似的。配菜有白菜、甘筍、冬筍、冬菇等,紅燒得來像烤菜,獻汁也濃稠適度,味道也不錯。
