五月五日 (星期日)還記得早前希慎廣場剛開幕,那一個位置總是水洩不通的熱潮冷卻,是日就趁附近有時裝店初開業,倆口子看看之餘,也順道過來找家餐廳醫肚依稀記得有家越南餐廳的,就到那店試試水準吧!沒人排隊,門口還貼着優惠作招徠沒有牛油雞翼,只好點香茅雞翼皮炸得香脆,不太油膩肉質鮮嫰,味道很不錯喔!豬扒撈檬豬扒略為細塊,質感其實是不錯的,挺鬆化魚露是撈檬的靈魂,這裡酸度不是太濃,帶一陣清香,算是合格貨色 來到越南食店,點生牛肉湯河是正常不過見到餐牌有和牛湯河粉,吸引力也就大增來到面前才淋上清湯,挺有特色的碗內的和牛變成半生熟,賣相吸引入口,味道豐潤,牛味也香濃,沒有一點韌口感覺湯頭亦不錯,清香少油不膩以這商場之食店質素來說,這裡算是不錯哩!Read More

悠閒的星期六,下午一點半,希慎廣場人來人往。青山豚本來又想到常常捧場的Wired cafe吃個light一點的沖繩飯,但突然又心痕想試試這間我次次經過但都無緣拜訪的越南餐館,實不相瞞,其實我真的是個魚露迷。BB1不用等位,部長先生好像都知道我愛看景用餐給我們安排了窗邊的位置!先點了紥肉撈檬(6/10)和豬扒撈檬(6.5/10)各一這裡的撈檬賣相算是不錯的了,紥肉切成絲狀,零碎的一堆,給人感覺是節省食材有點小家,個人覺得如果是片上的話會比較圓滿的感覺。食下去白胡椒味連我這愛吃重口味之人也覺有點過重,反而咸香度不足,如果能夠再彈牙一點就好了,爽爽的似是有點不新鮮!豬扒燒得很香口,值得一讚!稍嫌豬扒份量太少,跟同行的越棧越南站芽莊,這裡的少少一碗豬扒撈檬頂多只有同行的三份二!卻盛惠$52!性價比不高,也許是希慎貴租令其要從食材份量削減的誘因吧!重點來了,魚露味道不正宗:(很清楚很清楚、分別吃得出的三個味道:咸、甜、酸青山豚吃越南菜多年,從沒嚐過如此"出色"的魚露!沒有丁點兒的蒜香,反而有股微微的魚腥味咸、甜、酸三個味道分得很開,沒有共融的感覺。魚腥味吃後仍久久留在口中...再試試這兒的茶餐。$38 鮮果拿破倫配越南漏滴咖啡餅底做得唔夠脆口只是酥皮貨式,不過以$38配咖啡來說也還可以吧..反而是越南漏滴咖啡令人有驚喜上枱的時候是這樣子等咖啡漏滴到進已加了煉奶的杯中。先試咖啡味,很香濃,不算苦澀,有回甘的感覺。BB1,有回來的機會吧,喝喝咖啡還是可以的,撈檬就免了。Read More

Spoilt for choice when it comes to dining options at the Hysan Place, we finally settled for light Vietnamese cuisine. With seating along the corridors of the shopping mall and inside the restaurant, we opted for the latter to allow more space and quiet moments to catch up.Soft shell crab rice paper roll - $78/-The batter for the soft shell crab was fried to a golden brown crisp, giving each bite a delightful crunch. The rice paper roll was thin and not overly sticky and managed to hold the sliced vegetables perfectly intact. Despite so, I must say I have had better versions of such crispy soft shell crab elsewhere.Verdict: 7.0/10Vietnamese lemon grass chicken wings - $58/-The second starter was a tantalizing treat to the tastebuds. Deep-fried to a perfect golden brown, some scattered breadcrumbs helped to give an extra crunch to the succulent chicken wings. Despite the deep-frying, the meat retained much moisture giving the much desired juiciness. I was left slightly disappointed for there was barely any lemon-grass flavour to it and tasted more like a classic version of chicken wings.Verdict: 7.5/10 Saute vegetables with belachan - $68/-The ripeness of the vegetables was optimal, but the belachan taste was sorely lacking. Belachan is actually shrimp paste made from fermented ground shrimp (krill) mixed with salt. The krill would normally be steamed first then mashed into a paste and stored for several months. The fermented shrimps are then fried to give it the strong flavour, which unfortunately was not strong enough to impress my palate. Verdict. 6.0/10Shredded chicken and minced pork pho - $58/-My dining partner ordered this and he claimed that the broth was flavoursome and not overly MSG loaded. It was light and served the way he wanted. The shredded chicken and minced pork were not overly cooked and coupled with the fried shallots, it was an enjoyable dish.Verdict: NA - no food testingVermicelli with pork chop - $52/-Accompanied with a separate fish sauce as dressing, the dry vermicelli, sliced carrots and lettuce provided a varied texture to the pork chop. It had a crisp surface but surprisingly, the perfectly cooked meat was tender and oozing with juice. The portion of the pork chop was pretty generous too as seen from the picture and could certainly fill a hungry diner easily.Verdict: 7.0/10For the beverages, we had a lime soda ($45/-) and a glass of hot lemon tea ($26/-). Well, there was nothing too impressive about them to warrant a write-up so I would leave it at that.As we visited the restaurant just before the peak dining period, it was relatively quiet and offered a good venue to catch up with friends or colleagues. Do note that the prices listed above are excluded of 10% service charge. The quality of the food in general were okay, especially the deep-fried dishes though they should typically be safe calls anyway. This is my first OpenRice Review. This afternoon, I meet two of my good friends for hi-tea at Hysan Place. We take a lift to 12th floor and the first restaurant that catch our attention is BB1 Vietnamese Bistro. The place look nice and comfortable so we decided to have out tea here. About UKD 100 per person at this nice place considered value for money.We ordered1. Set Pork Chop with Rice $78The Pork is a little hard but nice taste2. Set Hanoi Fried Noodle $78The Fried noodle is not to my expectation as it is very plain and the prawn is not fresh and tasteless.3. Snack Combination $128This is interesting. 老友一家從加國回來探親,我當盡地主之誼,約他們吃餐飯敘舊,得知他們喜歡吃泰國越南等食品多於吃海鮮,剛巧這天要在希慎廣場出席法國甜品店的開幕小派對,便約他們來這家新開的餐廳試試。在銅鑼灣的餐廳想找個位吃飯並非易事,何況是八個位,我早半小時到達,先取了座位,好讓他們到來便有位。店子的檯椅以木為主,天花垂吊著不同形狀的吊燈,非常簡潔。餐牌印刷精美,食物無加一服務費,但已十分進取,如$22件炸蝦餅,$14.5一隻雞中翼,$18一串沙爹,約$20一條越南春卷,而撈檬由$42-$52,湯河粉由$52-$78,主菜由$58-$118。常言道:收費貴不是問題,最重要是好食!但是、似乎、可惜這店做不到!老友一家非常客氣,每人只點了一個檬粉之類,作為東道的我,不可以這樣簡單,加點幾款小食,越南春卷(兩份),香茅雞翼,炸蝦餅,沙爹串(八串)及每人點的和牛河粉(三碗),香茅雞翼撈檬,雞絲扎肉湯河,雞絲撈檬,蔬菜撈檬,雜香草燒雞扒另跟白飯。食物陸續送來,香茅雞翼撈檬,是一碟檬粉,伴著一堆紅蘿蔔絲,青瓜絲,生菜絲,旁邊有些蔥粒、酸瓜醬之類,檯上有樽魚露,自己可以隨意調味,自己撈,但得兩隻雞翼,慘過食車仔麵;雞絲撈檬,情況一樣,有一堆雞絲;太座的蔬菜撈檬,則更寡,雖然太座話檬粉都幾滑,但賣$42,唔抵食。越南春卷,塊皮好韌,餡料落好重古月粉,蓋過所有木耳、菜絲、粉絲、肉末等味;炸蝦餅,不過不失,但價錢拍得住酒樓;香茅雞翼,雞中翼幾有肉,香茅味道不夠;沙爹串,有豬、牛、雞,老友家人應為不醮沙爹醬會更對口味,可能沙爹醬欠缺花生香味,肉質尚可,唯炭燒味欠奉。和牛河粉,老友覺得幾正,河粉幾滑,牛肉半生熟,肉質多油,入口感覺腍,湯底亦收貨;雞絲扎肉湯河,不過不失;我的雜香草燒雞扒,嚐不出雜香草味道,雞扒炸得太乾,肉汁流失,不好吃,另跟白飯要十二元。晚上九時後,再入的客不多,侍應沒有催促我們還檯的意思,正好讓我和沒見多年的老友再坐一會。Read More

It is the first time in years that I eat something so revolting.I ordered some curry beef... it was "OK" but over priced for very poor quality of meat with lots of fat. No rice was served with it. :(Then came the spring rolls I ordered. First I would have expect to get them first, before the curry.I waited for 20 min before getting there and when I tried it... OMG the most disgusting thing I ever tasted. Smelled like feet.
