It was 3PM in the afternoon and in general it means no queue or any waiting time in Hong Kong. Which was also the case here, we could decide to sit down on whichever table we liked. The menu is simple, there are 3 types of soup bases where you can choose from: natural, Ma La or Hot and Sour. If you choose the latter two types of soups you get to indicate what level of spice you want your soup on.We both choose a Hot and Sour, medium spice soup as our base and we then we picked 2 dishes to go alon

My boyfriend choose enoki mushrooms and beef stew, I had beef stew and rettich. The soup was quite thick and steaming hot. We both would have preferred if the soup would tasted a bit more sour. The beef stew was not the best we had, it contained more fat tissues than actual meat and it did not fall apart nicely once you chew in it. But the generous amount of noodles and the cheap price made up for the little flaws.
