Boyfriend always laughs at me for always going to overpriced rip off cha chan tengs when I eat alone and decide on something fast and cheap that isn't fast food or food court. But it honestly isn't my fault as all the better cha chan tengs are all in Chinese and I can't read a single word of it. And when I go in to one of those on my own, I get the usual annoyed look from the wait staff when you are delaying their time by being indecisive. So, I end up here..cha chan tengs with English menus tha
One must note, that this place is beautiful yet in a tacky way. The bright red Coca Cola draws you in. Yes, literally the whole restaurant is one big Coca Cola sign. But oddly not everything in there menu is Coke based. But it does state that all sets include one small bottle of Coke.
Was a little hungry so came here for afternoon tea. Ordered swiss chicken wings with instant noodles and ice lemon tea for an added $3 as I hate drinking carbonated drinks. Your typical cha chan teng meal. Unsure why it wasn't Coca Cola wings as this is a Coca Cola restaurant. But then again, nothing on their tea set menu had any food made with Coke.
Yes, this is the portion size. Two wings and the noodles were just the same size as the wings. All this for $38. Quite expensive for this small amount of food. Wings were flavorless and tough. Noodles were ok al dente and had enough sauce to not be dry. But seriously...I left hungry.
The ice lemon tea didn't have enough lemon and tea and tasted like water.
Doubt I will return unless again I can't think of what else to eat in this area as it's not really value for money.
