I could not believe the big difference in taste, texture and size between the 2, despite the same price of $15HKD per Macaron.
1) LGB size is bigger than Jean Paul Hevin.
2) LGB is much sweeter, unfortunately, could not taste the underlying flavours much.
3) Texture wise, LGB is slightly more softer, but Jean Paul Hevin's one seems slightly more lighter but crispier at the same time.
I must say even in isolation, I wouldn't have liked LGB's macarons much, but unfortunately the Jean Paul Hevin versions were just ridiculously good (best I've tried in my life).... the LGBs paled in comparison to the point that my fellow reviewer/taster said she didn't want to eat the LGB's sugar over-loaded version.
Also tried their coffee at LGB - unfortunately the coffee espresso shot was poured way too quickly and over in around 7-8 seconds, when it should be pouring out over 25-30 secs like syrup. Also had slight sediments and little visible crema. They need to use more cleaner group handles, adjust the coffee grind size as well as apply the right pressure.
