Boyfriend and I had an app that was offering a free designated dessert at certain Honeymoon Dessert locations. The one at Hysan was one of them! And we lined up! But the line wasn't very long. I guess not that many people knew bout this deal. The app was in Chinese so I had to rely on boyfriend to help me out.Boyfriend chose the ice with taro balls and taro ice cream. Boyfriend chose the ice with taro balls and taro ice cream. There was some barley in it. The ice cream was not too smooth but it wasn't icy. The taro balls were ok. Chewy but not great. There was also some grass jelly as well.
I had this: ice topped with banana, chia seeds, mango and dried fruit. I liked this a lot more than boyfriend's. Refreshing and felt a whole lot more healthy. The items were sweet but not too sweet. There was a bit of coconut milk added as well.
Not that great but it wasn't too bad either. We always seem to order the mango type items whenever we are here so didn't think to try their newer desserts if not for the promotion. Doubt we'd order it again though.
