Grabbing a hurried bite before a movie. Found the prices slightly high for this setting which appeared to be of bistro standards only. We ordered two set dinners; the appetizer roast beef salad was stuffed with bell peppers which I liked but was a bit dry, the mushroom truffle soup was higher than canned soup quality but was too lumpy, the risotto was cheese-rich but the point of mixing Parma ham into the dish was lost on us - this completely masked the unique flavour of the ham - the ham should have been placed atop the risotto, the roasted cod fish was fatty and satisfactory. The ginger green tea with honey was warming and the ginger flavour matched well with the honey.
What bugged us most was the service; we got asked numerous times about our choices of drinks - right from the time of placing orders to after we finished our dishes - this practice belonged to cheap Hong Kong fastfood eateries whose income depended on maximizing the number of clients they served and we didn't expect to encounter it here at The One. Especially when there were empty tables and no queues at the entrance. At $236.50 per head, my friend felt it was fair while I thought it somewhat priced.
