Pho, one of the favourite food in my life. I order Pho every time if I get into a Vietnam cuisine restaurant.NoodleMi is a quite small restaurant in Sheng Wan. I found it's so crowd and small table and seat inside, but I still try it.Pho, with lots of Chinese Chives. Serve with Thai-Basil and sprouts. I love sprouts!Now let's try their beef. They are thicker than usual, and there are quite a lot!! Soft texture , not much fat.Another important scoring issue: SoupWell I think they can do it better

Rice noodle normal but above average.
At least they cook well and the noodles doesn't stick together.


Although this Pho is not my best choice overall, it has good Beef which makes worth to try


Btw, this place is too small to have a comfortable meal if it is full house. Everyone is holding own bags when eating.
I can't complain coz I believe it's hard business in Sheng Wan.

Good Vietnamese is often accompanied by a generous amount of fresh herbs.The signature pork Bun certainly had that in abundance. The pork was cooked to perfection and packed full of flavour. The vermicelli rice noodles were generously topped with pickled vegetables and fresh herbs and crunchy fried shallots.Soaked the whole combination with the chili vinegar on the table and an amazing bowl of yummy is the result.No idea if the other dishes are any good, but I'll be back just for this Bun.

一入到去,坐係對馬路既吧枱,叫左一個自家製既蝦蟹蕃茄豆腐粉,坦白講,其他越南餐廳無呢個粉,佢應該融合左星馬既蝦麵既原素而創出呢道菜

湯粉,最重要係湯,非常鮮甜,好濃既蝦蟹味,豆腐煮散融入湯裡,夾起粉既時候帶上小許豆腐渣,入口有豆香同鮮甜湯味


唯一唔好既係,餐廳唔夠現金找換,只能用八達通

是日同事告知老闆很喜歡上環的noodlemi, 作為越南控的筆者當然要一試. 平日中午一時十五分到達, 場內頗full house. 等待一會才有座位.店內非常狹窄, 只可容納二十多人.細小的高桌加上高椅, 坐得非常不自在.點選了越式湯河配牛肉.先說分量, 滿滿的一碗, 很澎湃啊!試一口湯底, 牛味很淡, 有點淡如清水, 很失望啊! 再試一口河粉, 天啊, 一點米香也沒有, 淡如無味, 更莫說是否滑溜了, 這可是筆者近年吃過最差勁的河粉!牛肉, 口感帶韌, 不討好.這個質素, 實在無法理解為何它那麼受外籍人士歡迎?

在這種悶熱的天氣,最好就是來一碗酸酸的撈檬。香茅烤鷄撈檬 - 芽菜和胡蘿蔔絲非常新鮮爽口。烤雞的肉蠻厚的,很嫩。撈檬的汁不會太酸,加少許酸辣醬另味道更加多層次!香茅檸檬草雞肉撈檬 -雞肉份量相對比較少,雖然看似乾身,咬下去還是有肉汁的。菠菜豆腐餃子 - 底下的汁很酸,建議分開端上讓客人自己按需要才沾上。味道非常普通。菠菜豆腐餃子 -吃了幾塊也不曉得豆腐跑去哪兒了。只見少許菠菜和酸菜。因為裡面已經有酸菜,再沾上那個汁的話真是太酸了,根本吃不出餃子本身的味道。整體還是推薦的,菠菜豆腐餃子除外。

菠菜豆腐餃子 -吃了幾塊也不曉得豆腐跑去哪兒了。只見少許菠菜和酸菜。因為裡面已經有酸菜,再沾上那個汁的話真是太酸了,根本吃不出餃子本身的味道。

整體還是推薦的,菠菜豆腐餃子除外。
題外話/補充資料: 來到NOODLEMI這家小店,地方確是比較淺窄,高椅亦蠻重的,好不容易才坐好。 午市的話,一至兩位就好,比較容易入座。要不然你就要做好在店外極淺窄的路上被猛烈太陽烤乾的準備。

When we got home she rushed to the toilet and diarrhea several times and vomit several times throughout the night, I asked her if she had taken any other food before dinner but she said no. After we consult the doctor, I decided to call to the restaurant cos I don't want anybody else to suffer. I told the managress and she remembered us, then she ask the boss Jeremy call me back. On a day when I craved pasta I went to Sheung Wan to try and find a specific pasta joint. When I arrived on the street I sound the shop closed for the renovation. Without a backup plan I wondered towards central to see what else I could find and the first place which had something appetising was Noodlemi. The atmosphere inside was somehow very Hong Kong. Uncomfortable in an impersonal way, high seats and angled mirrors on the walls which simultaneously gave you the impression of extra space and the feeling of being slightly inebriated, and waiters who seemed less than thrilled to be at work, but weirdly this kind of hostile environment seems almost welcoming for a solo dinner so whatever.

I ordered the rice vermicelli (apparently a 'healthy choice'), with sautéed vegetables and tofu. The turn around time was super quick, I think my meal was with me in under three minutes. The smells coming from the food were so enticing, deep and savoury so I tucked in quickly.

There were some interesting flavours, almost satsuma-like notes in the sauce, earthy vegetables and the noodles had a really satisfying feel. The viscous, at times jelly-like consistency of the sauce was alarming at first but enjoyable once I'd acclimatised to it. I'm not a connoisseur of Vietnamese food so I can't really compare this to base level but this was a nice warming and filling my dish on a cold night. the only negative note was the (in my opinion), excessive use of parsley, I'm not a parsley hater by any means but I don't need that much.

hopped in for a quick lunch and definitely surprised at how yummy the dishes i got were.  dont expect to be seated too comfortably or can relax and chill, this is definitely a eat and get out joint, but the food were freshly prepared and delicious.i would recommend the beef papaya salad, the beef slices are thick and good, and rare to use on a papaya salad, but they go well together.

i would recommend the beef papaya salad, the beef slices are thick and good, and rare to use on a papaya salad, but they go well together.

It was clean, fresh, and crunchy! Don't make a judgement too soon that healthy salads are boring. Well at least this one is not! The salad was dressed in a vietnamese fish sauce (nuoc cham) that is both sweet and sour and garnished with dried onion bites and chopped peanuts. The dressing and the garnishment complements the fresh salad very well, it totally brought out all the elements together. Tip: if you think a viet meal is not complete without Sriracha (like me), feel free to add some to the salad, you'll be surprised.

I would recommend Noodlemi to anyone who craves for simple and fresh viet food. Bear in mind that this casual viet joint ain't huge so definitely not for a party more than 6.

Noodle Mi is a quick bite restaurant that promotes healthy Vietnamese food. It states that they use no MSG; no unnatural additives, no artificial flavours and gluten free. Simmered Beef with Tomato and Star Anise with Rice Vermicelli

I ordered the Simmered Beef with Tomato and Star Anise with Rice Vermicelli. I was drawn by the star anise. The soup base was aromatic, rich with tomato flavour. The carrots had absorbed all the flavours and beef brisket was plentiful. For the starch, you can choose from rice vermicelli or bread. I could image how good the bread would taste after dunking it into the soup.

I wasn't left feeling thirsty so I guess it’s a good sign that they aren't using MSG. The place is a bit too cramped for my liking. I saw many people getting takeaway and I would love to try their salads.

My wife and I used to live in Vietnam and we often lament the lack of ACTUAL Vietnamese food in HK.  Nearly everywhere plays with Vietnamese flavours, but falls short.  Noodlemi sort of falls into that category.So, we visited for an early dinner and the place was pretty quiet.  My wife ordered a beef pho and I ordered a grilled chicken bun.  Everybody knows pho.  The flat, cut rice noodles, so iconic of Vietnam.  Pho actually refers to any kind of sheet rice noodle.  The soup should be boiled fo

So, we visited for an early dinner and the place was pretty quiet.  My wife ordered a beef pho and I ordered a grilled chicken bun.  

Everybody knows pho.  The flat, cut rice noodles, so iconic of Vietnam.  Pho actually refers to any kind of sheet rice noodle.  The soup should be boiled for a minimum of 7 hours to extract allof the flavours from the beef bones and aromatics.  In Hanoi, the taste is cleaner and they don't like to mess too much with the soup, whereas in Saigon, they add hoisin souce.  Here, they were going more for the Hanoi style with green aromatic leaves.  Unfortunately, they failed in the most critical place - the broth.  It had absolutely no taste.  It was basically hot water.  One of the blandest pho we have ever had.

Bun, is not as famous as its cousin pho.  Bun are rolled round rice noodles.   They are served cold in bun cha in Hanoi (possibly one of my favourite dishes in the worldand the one I miss the most from Vietnam) and in Hue, the famous bun bo hue is a soup wide with beef and pineapple (to tenderize the meat).  Here they made their own kind of thing based in Vietnamese flavours.  The noodles were cold and served with leaves, beansprouts, lettuce and warm, charred grilled chicken.  The flavour came from nuoc cham, a sweet fish sauce that is used for dipping.  They also had a big bottle of it on the table.  It was good.  Really good.  While not a classic, it was a modern take on Vietnamese and it really worked.  So much so, that the pho was forgotten.  I added more nuoc cham to my bowl and had to keep giving mouthfuls of the bun to my wife who was lamenting her pho decision.  

Basically, go and eat bun (kind of pronounced boon, not bun as in bread).

There is room for improvement - would suggest solid chunks of chicken.We were disappointed with the chicken dumplings during our last visit - should have known better as the Vietnamese are not big on dumplings (so I am wondering why they are on the
