my family and i went around in central to look for a nice carpet for our newly furnished apartment. after visiting three stores, it was already two something and we decided to have lunch. having no idea where to go and what to eat, we stopped at tsui wah right opposite to the famous yung kee. it was so crowded...anyways, we managed to find ourselves seats upstairs.
after reading numerous notecards on the tables and the menus, we ended up ordering:
1.咖哩牛筋濫飯 2.魚腐米線(撈) 3.鹿兒島豬軟骨撈公仔麵 4. fishballs 5.a dish of vegetables
plus an iced coffee, iced lemon tea and iced milk tea.
my parents didnt comment on their meals so i will just comment on what i had-鹿兒島豬軟骨撈公仔麵.
it took a longer time than the rest to be served-the ah je explained that they had to make this downstairs, not upstairs. well, i dont really know if its really a reason or an excuse. :S anyways, when it was served, i thought i saw three chunks of 煲湯豬肉. and the instant noodles....well, they are just ordinary instant noodles. when i began to mix the whole thing up with my chopsticks, i discovered a THICK layer of OIL at the bottom of my disk. well, it looked really disgusting. i guess its being put there deliberately to add flavour to the whole thing.
the stewed pork actually tasted OKAY but it was a bit salty. the instant noodles...well, it was oily. as a result i could only finish half of eat because of the heaviness........and up till now i can yet think of the correlation of this dish with 鹿兒島.
as for my iced milk tea, it is very 重 in 奶味 and it doesnt have the bitterness from tea you usually find in bad-quality milk teas. i aint sure if its the way how they cover up the bitterness or whether it is how their special blend of milk tea tastes like, but its just not my cup of tea.
our lunch costs over 200. i guess with 200 you can eat anything with a much better quality than this.

Had to order delivery
ordered
1) 奶油豬仔包: tasted not good at all when delivered;
2) Broccoli with garlic: not bad! Put in lots of garlic and keung, tasted alright; and
3) Lemon water with 薏米: not bad when it's warm.
Anyway, prices are not low here and food is pretty expensive! Delivery was pretty slow as well.
Could be much better....

我叫了一個豬軟骨菠菜餃米線.
一來到, 便聞到一陣奇異之味道.
靠近些再聞, 不覺得香, 只覺應該靠後d離遠d吃更佳.
一路吃都不知是甚麼造成這樣的味道.
豬軟骨, 一件ok, 一件不ok.
豬軟骨最關鍵當然係夠唔夠腍.
一件很腍, 另一件卻很硬...
菠菜餃其實都很可口, 餡料十足.
啊! 就是這種味, 餃子皮吸收了.
仍未知是甚麼味.
米線吃得七七八八, 終於赫然, 筷子撈起了, 是一塊陳皮!
oh my.............難怪總覺有陣味.
陳皮, 個人認為, 造米線的湯不太適合.
可能因本身氣味不吸引, 還令我聯想起紅豆沙><

繼續品茶 之 「豬皮」拖累茶
這店可以說是翠華的旗艦店
餐牌精美是一所升呢茶記的表現
對面就是富豪飯堂
環境光猛
加煉奶前的奶油豬奶的份量明顯不夠
若再下多一點奶,應該可以更盡善盡美
又繼續試那奪得黑白淡奶奶茶大賽中得獎的二十大茶記,今回到了其中一所頭五名來試,之前試過黃大仙的榮記及調景嶺的康年,但也不如我意,今天來了本地非常有名的茶記,位於中環的翠華,來吃個包喝杯茶。
此處食物的選擇,也是一貫翠華有的選擇,過了六時沒有茶餐,但又沒理由光喝茶,所以點了一個平時來翠華最愛吃的奶油豬,加杯熱奶茶。
先來的是奶油豬,看起來是不夠煉奶,着店員加多一點,他走了到廚房特別拿了一小碟的煉奶給我,抵讚!加多了煉奶的奶油豬,就真的是我愛吃的一款美食,一口咬下,豬仔包是烘過有點脆的,但跟以往吃的已經是大相徑庭,豬仔包的外皮,即「豬皮」,真的是有點潮了,而且熱度不足,這樣已是大打折扣了,雖然吃起來仍有濃濃的牛油及煉奶香,甜度夠,但豬皮足以構成不能磨滅的影響,真攪不明白,之前在其他分店吃的奶油豬,都不是咁差的,翠華的QC不是做得很好的嗎?
之後就是今天的主題了,一杯熱奶茶,放棄了平時翠華專用的笑臉杯,用上黑白淡奶的厚身瓷杯盛着,也是先用鼻子嗅一嗅,奶茶散發出茶香,終於讓我喝到一杯有茶香的奶茶,喝起來茶味夠,而且也很是順喉滑身,似乎濃香滑三大標準也是做到了,稍嫌的只有其奶香比之前在新金鹿及桃李園喝的低,但也可說是很不錯的了,至少見到有掛杯的痕跡,若再下多一點奶,應該可以更盡善盡美。
今次試茶的結果也是挺滿意的,覺得至少入圍是不出奇的,但要數頭五名,又是的而且確值得商榷的,但怎樣也好,只是一個比賽而已,味道這科東西,也很難有客觀性的,放下二十六元,到附近打點周六的一頓晚飯,想起也流口水了。

今次由此要行夜山既關係,一行4人去左中環呢間先祭下五臟廟, 叫左個晚餐set, order左紅湯+雞扒意粉+牛油豬仔包+凍啡~
紅湯ok
雞扒以雞脾去上脾骨,再煎香, 雞皮煎到好脆, 但肉質依然好滑,仲保留肉汁, 連平時好少食雞皮既我都皮連肉一齊食
跟餐個牛油豬仔包好食, 但好想試朋友們口中講既"奶油豬仔包"

挺貴的蛋麵
都知佢要整好耐,so I patiently wait for it to arrive.
大概要15 mins at least for it to arrive.
The noodles were really crispy (成底都好脆好滋味), the shrimps were fresh.
不過 $63 真係幾貴。
同埋好彩無坐角落位 lunch time 咁忙真係會有倒瀉野飲既意外發生。

找一間坐得較為坐得舒服食早餐的地方只想得到來這裡.

沙爹牛肉麵,炒蛋配脆豬仔包,凍奶茶----食物質素一點也不特別,但起碼不會覺得難食,最重要符合到去食早餐的目的--飽肚!
當你發覺在那些連鎖快餐店,要自己排隊買飛取餐揾位,叫一個早餐A要凍飲加大杯的價錢和這裡也是差不多的話,你會如何選擇?

飲花樽?!
旁邊有半個檸檬要自行榨汁, 我重以為已經mix埋既添!
薏米係中國薏米, 所以好大粒, 亦都無咁好食。
不過薏米水再加埋檸檬汁酸酸地, 清清淡淡都幾好味, 夏天飲佢都幾解渴架!

點知我同事食完個飯, 即係我等左40分鐘,又催左3次, 個包都未黎
之後總共等左一個中, 終於有個包黎, 但佢就俾左搭檯個男人

最愛紅豆冰
這裡的紅豆冰比我上次在大快活的好多了,不過我還是覺得奶味不夠,而且太多冰沙了,可能是因為我要的是少甜吧。紅豆和奶份量相若,整體來說不過不失,經過又想喝的話這裡是個不錯的選擇。$20也不算是太便宜,不過喝後真的很飽,值不值就見仁見智了。

入到翠華就食個什扒, 有煙肉, 雞扒, 腸仔, 豬扒, 什菜, 包括甘筍, 白菜仔, 仲有埋白飯, 認真食得過癮! 洋蔥汁翠華都做得好出色, "揸"一聲, 個鐵板將所有肉一時加熱, 用刀開始食, 味道好正!
紅湯味道好濃, 仲可以發現有件牛尾, 不過覺得好似甜o左少少, 如果唔係更好味, 凍檸茶ok, 茶餐廳專家處理大排檔的飲品好穩陣

合理的味道,不合理的服務
首先係一入去,佢求其安排左一個位俾我地,我地要求轉,就叫我地上上層自己慢慢搵.
好彩上到去都叫有人帶下路,但仍係好呼喝的感覺.
坐低左,發現有個優點ge,就係真係幾多款,歐,越,港etc......
最後叫左四椒小元貝炒飯(歐陸風情) 及 咖哩豬扒飯.
前者+左$10轉餐,個餐湯唔錯,因為材料比一般的多.因為有d菜同少量碗仔翅.
真係好多好多小元貝~雖然D椒(包括黃,紅,綠,洋蔥)唔係話搶晒D味,但係份量都佔不少,所以好椒者先好試啊,其實我唔係好椒姐,不過總算有大量小元貝,加上芝士和炒飯底加分.
咖哩真係幾辣,如果少辣一點而香一點會更好.
D侍應對d餐具真係好粗暴...........
另外,佢地ge上菜速度其實唔係好追得上人流ge速度....勝在有3層吧.

真有水準!
我們點了牛腩麵和鐵板牛柳餐。
先說牛腩麵,牛腩雖然不算十分好吃,但質感還算軟身,比一般茶餐廳的好。
重點是鐵板牛柳餐,奶油豬仔包烘得很脆,而且有很濃烈的牛油香味。忌廉湯也不錯,不會像一般茶餐廳的淡而無味,不過我想如果加入海鮮,味道一定會更好。牛柳大約是七成熟,最適合我的口味了
價錢方面,牛腩麵售$25,鐵板牛柳餐售$78,合共$103。
在中環來說,亦不算很貴了。
聽說翠華的咖哩也不錯,下次一定要嘗嘗。
