Heard about this 'awful' place, checked in today at this CWB branch. It was decorated with very simple decor, very while and dark color tone with simple logo displayed. You could not see any cake at all. No showrooms or no facility to show the cake choices. You could only refer to the brochure or postcard displayed at the reception desk - how 'awful' and mystery.

Bought the Banana Chocolate as I do not like Rum or pure Dark Chocolate. The saleslady told me they used 'fresh' banana. It came out after I payed and placed the order. It was dark chocolate color, shiny dark chocolate, Looked yummy .

No place or seating for you to enjoy, you would have to take the whole cake home, it costed HKD198 to be exat.

Could't wait and tried a piece, it was actually not 'fresh' banana. The cake was only done with chocolate, very smooth and tasty chocolate, and some banana flavor. You could not see any banana at all.

Not bad.

上星期「朱古力魔」朋友已嚷著要食 Awfully Chocolate 的雪糕, 今日終於喺銅鑼灣店試咗喇!

一人買了一杯 Hei Ice Cream (single scoop $28)... "hei" 原來係代表「黑」的意思, 食落朱古力味又的確好夠「黑」, 甜度唔高, 奶味亦唔重, 味道令人諗起 XTC 當年的 "Chocolate XTC" (http://www.openrice.com/restaurant/commentdetail.htm?commentid=75203), 正 質地就又濃稠又黏口, 食落 creamy 滑口, 勁好食喎 嗜朱古力的, 值得試試.

有機會買純古力蛋糕試試先得, 可惜佢唔做 slice / mini pastries 啦.

Have heard a lot about Awfully Chocolate from magazines and friends, but never had gotten around to trying it. Finally tried the rum and cherry chocolate cake last week.

It was delicious. Not as creamy as I would have expected, but it is also a lot lighter I would have expected for a chocolate cake. Usually I would be stuffed after one piece of chocolate cake, but I managed to eat two pieces this time. Also, I think it would have tasted better if the rum taste was stronger.

But overall, mmmmmmmm....

I tried banana chocolate cake on year-end. I think it's too sweet; whereas chocolate taste is not strong enough.

It's OK but honestly, not worthy at all. I just don't know why people praise it so high.

經朋友推介下買了個all chocolate.cream很滑,濃濃的朱古力味.最重要是不太甜.

濃而不膩.不錯!

聽閒雪糕也不錯.相信會嘗試.

見 D 人講得咁犀利, 襯 party 都買個 banana chocolate 試吓。

講真，唔係 D 人講得咁好食羅。佢除咗 D chocolate cream 滑 D 之外，味道真係認真麻麻。首先，佢地D朱古力味道(無論係cream 定係個糕底) 都只屬一般，D cream 係滑的，但係 BaBa Bread的心太軟D 流心同佢差唔多咁滑播, 而且好味過佢添。

佢地D香蕉唔香、唔好食，更加唔好話同D 朱古力會夾；不過事實香蕉同朱古力D 味道真係可以好夾，只係佢整得唔夾姐。我提議試吓Zoe 的 banana pie, 你就會知道咩野叫做夾。

雖然我譠得咁緊要, 但如果要俾分，佢都仍算係合格的；只係我覺得美心的魔鬼蛋糕比佢還要好食(味道同口感都係)，而且仲平過佢多多添。不過如果係送比人的話，佢個包裝咁簡約，一睇就知係貴野，又真係夠晒體面。

同朋友好耐之前已經想食呢到既蛋糕. 但係次次唔係放工放得遲, 就係趕時間去唔到. 一係就食得太飽或者要留肚. 所以咁耐以黎都食唔到. 所以今日有機會成班一聚就唔再等有人生日或慶祝等等藉口都去買個蛋糕黎食下先.

香蕉配朱古力係我其中一個最愛, 所以今日朋友買既都係chocolate banana cake! 未食之前見到個蛋糕既顏色我就心諗呢個蛋糕一定勁漏勁甜同勁朱古力. 但係點知原來真係唔係只靠外表去判斷, 食落去無甜到漏既感覺... 香蕉同蛋糕本身既味道都濃淡適宜, 唔會太甜. 未食之前以為朱古力會好重, 原來香蕉既甜味比朱古力味仲要濃. 因為唔係太甜既闗係, 食完一件又一件都唔會覺得漏. 但係我當初之所以鐘情於呢個蛋糕就係覺得佢應該係帶住濃厚既朱古力味. 所以當大家都覺得好好味既時候我只能話佢唔係我杯茶, 未能再比我awfully chocolate既感覺.

壽星女曾說過很想試試這裡的朱古力蛋糕, 值著她生辰就訂個AWFULLY CHOCOLATE CAKE作為她的生日蛋糕, 取餅時跟honhon順道試試另一名物黑朱古力雪糕。

2個本地遊客在禮頓道附近左找右找,終於找到這間外表不似蛋糕店的蛋糕店, 那種簡約得什麼也沒有展出的裝潢設計, 真的香港極少見! 以黑白為主調的顏色, 最搶眼的反而是那4張鮮紅色的座椅。

還以為以城市銀行信用卡結帳有雪糕送, 只可惜遲了一步, 優惠期已經完結!既然一場來到, 掏腰包買一球也沒問題!! 跟honhon在店內立食一球, 它竟令我們不約而同睜大了眼睛!! 果然有著好濃郁的微苦朱古力味哦!! 質感相當實在,吃進口裡仍有嚼勁,不是立即溶在舌頭的出品,黏力比一般雪糕強但又不是gelato那般黏連,就像一團冰凍又凝固了的朱古力漿, 幼滑的包圍著我們的舌頭和牙齒,很好的朱古力雪糕水準。

除了雪糕水準不錯外, 精美包裝也是吸引力之一, 那個設計精巧用料上佳啤得仔細(職業病又來了!)的小手抽盒做得相當精緻,只是那麼漂亮的紙盒每次用完即棄, 真的很浪費也不太環保!乾脆給我一個脆筒應該也很滿足了。

是日主角CHOCOLTE CAKE 表面花紋沒以往的明顯, 那白色字體雖然不算寫得太漂亮但仍算工整, 可以收貨! 蛋糕外層那厚厚朱古力漿幼滑非常,一如雪糕般可以黏著舌頭,中間朱古力蛋糕非常鬆軟及帶點濕潤,跟幼滑朱古力相間著而成,勁朱!!跟雪糕可算是異曲同功之妙, 小小一片已是勁滿足!!!!

兩位小妹妹店員態度不算上好, 可達到基本水準而已;另外從其官網上訂蛋糕, 即日會有電話回覆確實, 又不用先付訂金或預付, 這方面還算不錯。

一直想試呢間既朱古力有幾 "Awful"！ 經過即刻入去，入到去見前面排隊的都係 order cakes既。

原來佢 cashier 個個盒係 for 4 scoops 的，一個人食唔到咁多要了一 scoop。

個盒仔裝住個 ice-cream 好好 cute 啊！不過我覺得個 spoon 組，細 d 好 d。

個雪糕有濃濃的 milk chocolate 味！太岩我了。

Someone brought a chocolate cake along to our gatherings yesterday and the cake was surprisingly good. I thought this was just a gimmick but I was pleasantly surprised. It was not too sweet and it was really moist.

Might be a bit of a problem if you don't like dark chocolate but otheriwse definitely worth a try! I will try the other flavour next time!

After completing a project, just wanna indulge myself with some sweety thing... so this time I bought a rum & cherry cake back home.
It looked nice with plain chocolate look... well, the chocolate taste was not as rich as I had expected... anyway, it's still soft and tendering...
p.s. the price of a whole cake is now $208...

香蕉朱古力、Rum酒提子朱古力蛋糕就試過喇,當然心急地要試埋雪糕啦!
唔覺幾位食評家所講的coupon或優惠,價錢都係一球$28,兩球$38。
我叫了兩球,店員叫我們可以之後拿膠杯,與朋友分享。
好好食呀!!佢朱古力唔係濃,而係那朱古力味香到好似食緊凍版Truffle!!雪糕如沒有空氣,溶得慢,簡直啖啖都正在食緊朱古力啊!!
坐在店內吃一會,已有三四轉人客幫襯。Awfully只賣四款野,已好足夠了~
