Went here for lunch with colleagues since they have not tried this restaurant. I have been to the one in Causeway Bay and in Jordan for many times. It was my first time here in Central. I found its décor was the best amongst the three outlets. Seemed that it maintained its former look (of course must have redecorated since its opening, otherwise, wont look so nice and clean now) and décor, so it presented a scent of elegance to its customers.
Since it was the first time that they tried this restaurant, so they must try those popular items. So we ordered some stirred fried noodles with Swiss sauce, Swiss chicken wings, Chicken-a-la-king rice and a soufflé. It was a nice arrangement that those famous dishes were also available in the set menu. The set is at $88, and in terms of its quality and also the average food price in Central, the price was not too bad.
The vegetable soup we had was nice, with strong favour of tomato and hint of beef taste. The Swiss chicken wings were nice and they were very very tender and its sauce was quite nice and sweet and went well with steamed rice. Out of my expectation, the chicken-a-la-king rice was served with fried rice. The fried rice was nicely fried and so I had a sumptuous lunch.
They were all surprised when the soufflé arrived. It was hugh! It took 20 minutes for preparation and it was worth the wait. It was nicely baked and the soufflé was just so tender and light, you would certainly want some more! There was one occasion that I shared one soufflé with a friend, yes, it was just two of us having it. Imagine how full we were afterwards.
Tai Ping Koon is somewhere you could find consistent standards in ‘Chinese’ style Western food.

1. shrimp salad: it's fresh n the sauce is creamy n tasty. it's realli surprised~ 2. swiss chicken wings(5 pieces only).. um i think it's not worth.. it's tasty though 3. seafood spaghetti.. the worst spaghetti i've never had... juz felt like having lunch @ uni canteen.. OMG.. 4. cake.. er........... not smooth at all.. like eating a sponge>.< so terrible!

不過今次來到發覺食物比以前好吃得多了,真的進步了不少,大部分食物也不錯。我們叫了一個瑞士雞翼意粉,下午茶只需$50,價錢算便宜啦。意粉彈牙軟硬度適中,只是味道較淡,即使加了瑞士汁仍然差一點點呢。不過雞翼倒是很好吃,肉質超滑,又肥美,加上瑞士汁真的不錯。
另外叫了一個瑞士汁干炒牛河,這個是正價份量,所以大碟得多。來到賣相雖然一般,但吃下去味道是挺好吃的。瑞士汁不會過甜,牛肉很淋和有肉味,河粉亦夠滑,只是了少少已有很「漏」的感覺,趕好我們是數人一齊Share,一個人都幾難吃得完。另外我們叫了一個葡國雞飯,很香椰汁味,份量亦是大的,雞肉稍為un了一點點,不夠嫩滑,頗多薯仔作配料,喜歡椰香的應該也會喜歡這個葡國雞飯。
最後要了梳乎厘作甜品,嘩,真的是超大個。我們吃完已是100%飽了,超香蛋味,這個梳乎厘的表面是挺有彈性的,哈哈。最喜歡吃表面焗得有少少硬的部份,再咬下去是軟淋淋很香很甜的,真的好吃。不過所有食物來說這個梳乎厘倒是最貴呢,必須要有3-4人才可以吃得完它呢。
老字號餐廳,食物質素不可太差才不會做壞招牌呀! 收這樣的價錢,這樣的食物質素才說得過去呢! 下次老人家想再來的時候便再來吧。

老地方,舊味道
點了梳乎里,還有主角瑞士雞亦意粉,兩個人吃就差不多了。
雞亦是這店子的名菜,吃了多年味道仍然如一,雞亦頗大隻,瑞士汁的濃道亦適中,不錯;梳乎里,是以大size而享負盛名的,很軟身很滑,相當好吃。
雖然價錢略高,但在其他地方吃不到的味道,都是物有所值的吧!

swiss chicken wings is ok as usual, but spaghetti.

1月生日會
漂亮藍莓芝士餅和靚靚壽星
由於大家已吃了很多美味BBQ食物,在餐廳裡只點了一些食物給極肚餓的壽星媽而已,太平館今次真的不化算了,九人大桌只點少量食物
招牌2人套餐已包括了幾款著名食品,最後選了海龍皇湯、瑞士雞翼和乾炒牛河。
海龍皇湯顏色橙黃,外表看來相當濃稠,由於沒有試過,味道不予置評,但跟湯的麵包實在好吃得很!! 2碗湯卻給了3個包,是因為在座有位小BB關係?? 餐包微甜軟熟溫度又夠熱,抹上老牌子溫拿牛油後, 牛油香令麵包更加美味,在飽肚的情況下也覺得美味,可想而知水準真的很不俗!!
瑞士雞翼六隻剛好每一隻,以新鮮雞翼煮成的瑞士雞翼外表很飽滿,肥美外皮浸滿甜美的瑞士汁,甜甜的味道的確很好吃,很想來碗白飯淘汁來吃!! 雞翼煮得很嫩滑入味,瑞士雞翼的確名不虛傳,讚!!
乾炒牛河上桌時已香氣撲鼻,連侍應叔叔也說"香噴噴炒牛河到",真的沒說錯!! 河粉幼身軟滑,碟底沒有多餘油份,平時吃的炒牛河會覺很膩,這裡的沒有這情況!炒河應用上少量甜豉油來炒,味道帶點點甜,但沒有瑞士汁牛河那麼多汁,連內裡的菜心也清甜不已,真的相當好吃!! 朋友吃到牛肉很淋,也許有用梳打粉招呼過之故!! 平時不吃牛肉的壽星媽也不斷吃炒河粉!!
廚師沙律用料極為豐富,除一般沙律食材如蕃茄、青瓜、生菜、粟米之外,還有味道比平時好吃的洋火腿、很有蛋味的烚蛋、芝士和我喜愛的彈牙牛脷!!!配上沙律醬後,連本已很飽的各人也不斷在吃!!推介~~
焗豬扒飯顏色很深,跟快餐店那些偏橙的顏色很不一樣,墊底的蛋炒飯炒得很香,油份不太多,飯粒挺身相當好吃!豬扒炸過後仍有點濕潤,脆卜卜的外皮實在美味;最特別是那燒汁,濃甜味中帶點喼汁味道,跟普通的蕃茄汁是很不一樣的,另一款好吃推介!!
梳乎里真的很巨型,比BB的頭還大!! 侍應叔叔剛將梳乎里放在我面前,那陣蛋香和剛出爐的熱氣真的撲面而來!由於知道梳乎里必須快吃,拍完照後馬上用那對巨型餐具分給朋友們,雖說梳乎里是一陣風似的蛋白,原來第一刀切下它時是相當有彈力的,跟切一個軟綿綿的雪芳蛋糕很相似!!梳乎里面層較厚身,可以咀嚼一下;中間部份真的輕軟如風,舌頭輕輕一抹已經令其消失在口腔之內,但其甜香和輕軟質感真的不俗!!
自己點了用了鮮橙汁混梳打水的橙雜,味道香甜好飲!! 以前以為CEO的橙雜好飲,原來這裡的才是皇道!! 連小BB也對其很有興趣,不但飲了一些,連紅彤彤的車厘子也吃掉
以前看過不少對這間老店服務批評,今次托幾位壽星鴻福,幾位侍應叔叔也很友善有禮,所有要求也很快做到,離開時更加跟我們道別,今次的用餐經驗的確不錯!!
題外話:壽星們本以為那盤梳乎里已當是生日蛋糕,其實我已經安排了一個生日蛋糕秘密地運到店裡,看到她們的意外,真的有點成功感!這要謝謝網上蛋糕店的kenny先生幫忙才有這種效果!真的謝謝他的準時送貨服務和為大家泡製了這個漂亮又好吃的藍莓芝士蛋糕! thx thx!!

高價荼餐廳一所, 物非所值
久聞太平館的歷史盛名, 並以其瑞士雞翼為人所共知, 然而過盛的名氣卻讓眾人敗興而歸。
首先, 竟因禽流感的關係, 瑞士雞翼沒有了。也沒辦法, 失望是有點, 但總算是有良心的餐廳。最後點了的六道菜和一客甜品如下:
- 燒豬脾(餐牌上的推介之一):實在有點兒可笑, 首先份量少得可憐, 二來說簡單點, 它只是一味豉汁煮半肥瘦豬肉, 真的不值近一百大元。
- 燒牛仔肉:好吃一點,份量還是不多,煮法同上。
- 太平館瑞士汁炒牛河:真的完全沒有特別,一道蠔油濕炒牛河而已。
- 時菜雙菇鴿肉飯:也是那些味道,所謂的瑞士汁
- 煙倉魚:比較好吃的一道棻,魚的煙薰味道頗為特別,唯獨是然是少得可憐。
- 咖哩雜菜:最好的一味,可能只是菜吧,沒甚麼可能弄得難吃。
- 梳乎里:沒有特別,一個特大裝的梳乎里。
總括而言,吃過一次就夠了。除了特別貴之外,沒有特別的高級荼餐廳一所,沒有足夠理由說服我去第二次。

多咗方便, 少咗誠意
之前幫襯過, 都覺得呢度既伙記有啲與別不同, 佢哋又唔係會令你俾唔落貼士, 但硬係好似有啲兩頭唔到岸既感覺
前兩日因為想食瑞士汁炒牛河, 所以買咗外賣番公司, 一打開發現好多汁, 但係唔似係炒既時候放落去而係最尾淋上面既, 自己覺得個味好似太鹹, 而且都幾多油, 但係炒河多油都係正常既……
我覺得呢個外賣係俾咗好多方便, 但係諗深一層, 堂食既炒河會炒得靚好多, 孤勿論個價錢, 誠意無咗就乜都唔好味.

奧運晚餐
這天也是本人和太太的結婚周年紀念日, 點解要揀這天,貪容易記得和八
理應留在家中觀看開幕典禮,不過一早安排這天出外吃晚飯.
地點:中環太平館, 為何??原因太太在尖咀吃飯有Coupon送,但指定要在中環店才用得.

- 薰倉魚,此道菜因煙薰過的魚肉會較乾,但今次較硬及o鞋口!
- 薄切片燒豬脾配甜豉油+薯條. 麻麻地!
- 招牌菜瑞士雞翼,夠滑,唔錯.
- 最受小朋友歡迎的梳乎厘,夠大,夠睇頭,夠鬆軟. 甜度適中.
雖然今餐不算豐富和美味,但是時間,人物,記憶這一切.

同老公仔約左娜姐, “媽媽”去試呢度既下午茶餐…
因為下午餐六點就無, 我地準時五點半就係公司出發, 一來到, 因為製作需時(大約30分鐘), 立刻order呢度聞名既”太平館式梳乎里”…點解咁出名, 最大原因係佢既龐大身型, 比起正宗法式梳乎里大上豈止十倍!!!
呢度既二人下午茶餐有兩款, 一個係特選菜式入面選4款, 配兩杯餐飲, HK$68, 另一個就係選六款加兩杯餐飲, 成為HK$88…
賣得咁便宜, 唔好希望會好大碟, 小食多滋味ma…
我地四個叫左一個梳乎里, 以及以下八款:
瑞士汁雞翼意粉 – 瑞士汁雞翼係呢度既名作之一, 瑞士汁既甜味同雞肉好夾, 至於意粉就唔太夾, 乾了點
黑椒豬扒意粉 – 出乎意料的好味, 豬扒好有肉感, 有咬口, 而且濃郁的黑椒味, 撈埋意粉食, 簡直係絕配! 一流!
咸牛脷米粉 – 比起上次食, 好味好多, 因為上次係配乾意粉, 今次則用湯米粉, 夾好多, 牛脷咸度適中, 有嚼勁, 配米粉係不二之選
白汁意粉 – 呢個平平無奇, 白汁尚可, 不過好似無乜餸…
紅豆雪糕 – 其實係雲呢拿雪糕配上紅豆, 值得一提係d紅豆, 幾有”紅豆”味, 而且每一粒都是完完整整的, 絕唔係破爛的一堆…

鮮蝦沙律 – 唔錯喎, 係少左d, 不過d蝦都幾新鮮, 用料都唔馬虎
雞蛋沙律 – 無什特別, 不過不失之作…
主角仍然係”太平館式梳乎里”, 一座高山來到, 我們都嘩一聲, 待應先為我地用特大义和匙將之分體, 食落去, 好”泡泡”的感覺, 軟綿綿的, 會令人食得好開心, 而且有鮮雞蛋味…Yummy!!!
呢度随了食物質素有保證外, 餐廳的環境和服務質素都是一絕…餐廳的裝潢用暗光的設計, 營做了一個和諧的氣氛, 令人食得好寫意自在, 而服務質素比上次大有進步, 待應奉上殷勤的服務, 令到我地都食得好開心滿足…
食完喇, 又係時候返….公司…!!! 畢竟係 Pear Season ^.^

重型午餐
先來個大大甜餐包,沙律或餐湯,餐沙律份量也頗驚人,奇怪是在薯仔生果沙律中,加左麻油-_-
主菜砵酒焗豬排意粉,雖然無砵酒味,不過茄汁味幾濃,吉列豬排仍脆,是最好味的一度!咖哩牛肉飯、粟米石斑飯,水準一般。瑞士汁牛河,招牌菜,無得彈啦!
食了這餐,晚飯都吃不下了。

煙熗魚
Order了一個芝士焗石班飯套餐, 煙熗魚& 焗蟹蓋.
先來熱辣辣餐包, 好香軟! 粟米忌廉湯, 面夠多料.
煙熗魚- 魚肉好實, 肉質有D鞋. 而什果薯仔沙律, 沙律醬落得勁多! 好似唔駛錢咁.
焗蟹蓋- 比想像中好食! 將蟹肉和其他配料釀入蟹蓋, 啖啖肉! 好正!
芝士焗石班飯- 炒飯底, 芝士唔夠多, 石班較乾身, 冇上次咁好食.
整體都算唔錯!

太平館的平安夜
我們都喜愛羅宋湯,點了兩客,跟餐包,餐包是焗爐翻熱的,皮脆內軟;羅宋湯茄味濃郁,鮮甜不油膩。
其實我們第一次來惠顧,聞說馳名瑞士汁雞翼,雖則一客有八隻,寧願打包都要order。果然…以我男朋友多年吃雞翼的心得,一口說定是他生平中吃過最正的!連我平時不沾雞翼的都試了一隻,果然肉嬓多汁,瑞士汁味道剛剛好!結果當然不用打包了!
我點了另一樣星星推介--煙熗魚,煙燻味好香,魚肉結實,份量好多,正!
男友點了焗豬排飯,炒飯底,好香鑊味,但略嫌炒得不夠乾身,豬排是吉列的再加燒汁,大大件,不會太乾,還留有肉汁!因為瑞士雞翼太過吸引,所以焗豬完場前已被我男友遺棄,其實它是不錯的喔!
因為男朋友兩星期前已訂位,reserved 左二樓角落的window seat卡坐,靜靜的享受二人世界,加上少少懷舊的裝修,感覺很elegant呢!
