Had a dinner here a while ago, but never had time to write about it so here goes...tuna tataki/b]The lightly seared tuna was not as good as I hoped. Butter Chicken (Makhani)
The indian chefs here are really good. Butter chicken was flavourful and spicy (not in the chilli sense), and the chicken was very tender - including the breast pieces. This came with indian basmati rice cooked with turmeric and other spices. Not soft but well-cooked grains
Garlic naan
The garlic naan here is one of my favourites in town. They don't turn hard even after it gets cold like some i've had, and a generous amount of real garlic butter is used. Also, they have various condiments for you in case you like them to go with your naan or you did not order any curries. On this day I tried the raita and a chilli-sour type sauce as well as chutney. Except for the sour-chilli sauce the other two were good.
Souffle with vanilla sauce
on this night they had a daily special dessert of souffle, and since I have an everlasting appetite for desserts I was not going to pass. I ordered one and it was very nice - light, fluffy and only lightly sweetened so the sauce was there for you to add to your liking.
Strawberry movenpick with waffle
The cones here are made in-house, and they are the almond cookie type which is crazy aromatic and tasty if kept well during the day so it remains crunchy at night.
Movenpick is my favourite ice cream brand, but strawberry was a wrong pairing with the cone! Eaten separate they were tasty but I think stracciatella / caramelita / choc or vanilla would be much better with the cone
This food plaza is hugely popular with members, as there is a vast array of options, with a noodle corner, chinese roasts, western roast, fresh seafood in chinese and south-east asian styles, a pasta corner as well as pizza and burger options.... expect to have to search for a table thurs - weekends during peak dining hours.
