一直都想來這裡試試,終於有機會了。星期日午餐時間,人客不算多。叫了一個餐,包含多款tapas, 可以有較多嘗試。地方十分寬敞montadito細細件,很精緻;有四款,特別想介紹其中一個topping是芝麻雞,這件雞加很脆口bikini的麵包很鬆化,熱辣辣,脆口,裡面的西班牙火腿一點也不韌,可以連上下層麵包一同咬開estrellado chorizo:有幾塊薄切西班牙辣肉腸鋪在煎太陽蛋上面,下面是形狀不規則的薯塊。這道菜整體味道比較鹹 這個seafood paella是重點推介seafood paella 由專人serve,將蝦頭破開,把汁撈在飯中,味道很濃;飯煮得比較腍;這裡的蝦相當新鮮,而且大隻;蜆很肥美飽滿。除了蜆,還有豬肉,這是意想不到d。墨魚汁paella飯的飯心有一點硬,質感比較像正宗西班牙炒飯;這墨汁飯的飯可以任添,吃完不夠可以再加一點的。有bar枱總括來說,味道不錯,環境舒適

seafood paella 由專人serve,將蝦頭破開,把汁撈在飯中,味道很濃;飯煮得比較腍;這裡的蝦相當新鮮,而且大隻;蜆很肥美飽滿。除了蜆,還有豬肉,這是意想不到d。


墨魚汁paella飯的飯心有一點硬,質感比較像正宗西班牙炒飯;
這墨汁飯的飯可以任添,吃完不夠可以再加一點的。

Had a great dining experience with friends at Catalunya restaurant. Great atmosphere and the food was outstanding. Highlights of the menu included avocado and lobster roll, suckling pig and seafood paella. Very attentive and professional staff. I highly recommend it.

一個完美嘅farewell dinner! 所以話要食好西真係要跟D老闆們s 出去



又多一個fine dinning 嘅落腳點
. 仲有衝動買機票飛一轉西葡飲飲食食

 Catalunya is an elegant Spanish restaurant that offers creative twists on tapas such as their "tomato tartare"  and oysters with "fake lemon".  Catalunya is an elegant Spanish restaurant that offers creative twists on tapas such as their "tomato tartare"  and oysters with "fake lemon". We were prepared to pay a hefty amount, but in places like these I think it s worthy of it compared to a lot of other places. 

We started with the spherical olives which is basically a little pod of olive oil that is shaped like a real olive. It was a good start and I recommend everyone to try it - It's $18 each an one is enough for a taste. We then had a selection of appetisers. 

We got the oyster and it was a fun bite with a lemon jelly, though a bit difficult to pair together. The most wow-worthy dish at this point was the 'perfect' eggs. They were so good, smooth, creamy deliciousness in a bite. The truffle potato foam and caviar worked so well with the dish and made me feel like I'm in a 3-michelin star restaurant. I highly recommend it. 

Please do not bother with the patatas bravas - this is the one and only dish where I feel they went a bit far to produce a great looking elegant and photogenic plate but at the expense of flavor. It tasted just like boiled potatoes and not worth it at all.

The tomato tartare was another innovative dish - which is exciting particularly for vegetarians, but maybe not for meat-eaters. 

We had so many little bites and appetizers that we only got one main - the grilled prawn. The menu listed it as "probably the best prawn in the world." I actually love their menu style and selection - but yet again I think this declaration wasn't spot on. It was good - not the best. Maybe they were referring to the prawn's origin as they say they have sourced them from Japan/New Zealand - but I think it was slightly overcooked. 

The restaurant is a bit too dimly lit for lunch, so I recommend it more for dinner. Also the service is inconsistent, some servers are very nice some aren't as nice - also expect slow service.

Overall, I recommend this place for a special occasion type of meal.

萬料不到竟然連咖啡也造得很差,我那杯加了奶油已比較好,我朋友那兩杯是加鮮奶味道更差,最終四杯咖啡我們只喝了一杯。

喜歡表面的食用花令整碟菜更好看!
Again, 西班牙菜都是很濃味的, 這道也是, 吞拿魚估唔到會這樣肥美, 加上表面被火灸, 所以魚油更突出!
吞拿魚的質素很好! 只於Ponzu Sauce個人認為太濃味, 多吃幾塊吞拿魚就覺得太咸了
如此吞拿魚能配上柚子味的汁應該會突出, 配上粒粒魷魚也增加了口感。
以前菜來說份量很足夠 - 2-3 個人分享也夠!

由於個人一向不太好Terrine所以只為了別浪費幫友人分享點
鵝肝應該在Terrine入面是沒有的, 可能只是在外幾點的醬, 所以幾乎沒有味道
主角雞肉醬配香脆多士還不錯, 雞肉應該以手切所以還保留口感
但一人也是沒可能完成的, 建議4人分享一份

到主菜環節了! 由於還沒有試過Monkfish, 加上想要點輕食, 於是想也不想就點了Monkfish
據知Monkfish日本人是常吃的, 而且是深海魚, 所以肉質是實淨的, 也較少能吃到
西班牙Monkfish做法是以湯煮, 先上4塊魚肉加雜菜, 後再加上以海鮮煮的湯。
先洽一口湯, 頗有鮮味, 後再吃魚肉, 果然肉質很有口感, 不像吃魚, 個人幾喜歡這種魚!
要彈的是魚肉調味不均, 一邊好咸, 一邊正常, 總是令我感覺吃下許多鹽
而且由於冷氣太大, 整個湯很快就冷掉, 而遺下的湯油也出哂, 所以唯有放棄。

可能期望過高, 結果成品也沒有令我很興奮, 火腿咸香不足, 松露也不夠香, 只是普通而已

另一主菜海鮮飯也到了, 喜歡那種天然橙紅色, 和那片薄薄的飯, 一人相信能輕易完成!
紅蝦和蜆鮮甜非常, 橙紅色的米飯吃得出是用了很多海鮮而煮的, 入面也加上很多魷魚粒, 煮到好淋, 像肉一樣, 所以只是吃飯也好有口感及鮮味!
這種味道真是一試難忘, 難怪當晚很多食客即使只有二人也會叫一整窩飯! (平時a la carte要比這個size大4倍!)
這道菜果然是主打, 為這餐廳挽回不少分數!

甜品時間, 見有chocolate cookies便揀了, 但真是對不起... dessert is really a joke... 
或許是我吃不慣西班牙(?)做法 - 這款cookies口感像brownie, 味道是苦苦地有點咸味, 應該以黑朱古力加上大量牛油及鹽。
中間的Peanut butter ice cream口感不像雪糕, 花生味是很重的, 但更像是在吃花生醬, 跟曲奇也沒有很夾... 所以真的吃了2口就放棄了

如有此budget, 我應該會去試其他西班牙菜及fine dining。

今年的 Restaurant Week 「香港餐廳週」又到了,興奮地發現高級西班牙餐廳 Catanluya 也在名單上,晚市三道菜套餐也只是 $398 一位。平時一直也後去試,但價錢太貴令人卻步,難得有餐廳週餐牌,當然不能錯過吧!燈光偏暗,環境有氣氛和情調,適合情侶來浪慢一下。在等候友人的時候點了杯西班牙著名的雞尾酒 Catalunya Sangria ($85)。我選了用紅酒,材料有檸檬氣水,橙酒,白蘭地和西班牙紅色苦艾酒 Yzaguirre Rojo。酒味濃烈,反而果味不是太重,但也算容易入口。頭盤是 Foie Gras Chicken Terrine。本以為是 tapas 的份量,但居然很大呢。這個是由鵝肝,羊菌菇和雞肝做成的一個 dip 配上脆麵包,口感有點像吞拿魚,但鵝肝味非常濃郁。必吃!另一頭盤點了 Tuna Tataki,份量也有很多。這道菜反而有點日式,是吞拿魚刺身。吞拿魚鮮味十足又厚肉,配上柑橘醬油十分開胃。我愛吃西班牙海鮮炒飯,以前在巴塞隆拿旅行時也吃過,除了有新鮮和多種類的海鮮外,炒飯還是煙韌有咬口的,加上檸檬汁非常好味。所以來到便心期待這裡的 Spanish P

頭盤是 Foie Gras Chicken Terrine。本以為是 tapas 的份量,但居然很大呢。這個是由鵝肝,羊菌菇和雞肝做成的一個 dip 配上脆麵包,口感有點像吞拿魚,但鵝肝味非常濃郁。必吃!

我愛吃西班牙海鮮炒飯,以前在巴塞隆拿旅行時也吃過,除了有新鮮和多種類的海鮮外,炒飯還是煙韌有咬口的,加上檸檬汁非常好味。所以來到便心期待這裡的 Spanish Paella。配料太吝嗇了,只有切碎了的豬腩肉,魷魚,蜆肉和一隻大蝦,也沒有檸檬汁,萬分失望!但炒飯倒是做得不錯,帶點煙韌感。

朋友叫的 Lamb Shoulder with Foie Gras 我就不太欣賞了。羊肩煮得很稔,卻帶小許羶味,上面淋上鵝肝汁,可是味道像 gravy 沒有鵝肝味。配的是莓汁,有藍莓,紅莓和紅桑子等等生味,甜甜的味道古怪,不是我杯茶。

我點的甜品 Cookies 也很失望。這個是軟曲奇,所以口感有點像吃 brownie 似的。味道並不討好,也不覺得曲奇新鮮。夾在兩片曲奇中的是花生和波本威士忌雪糕。這個反而有驚喜,有濃郁的花生味又帶點苦澀,但質感又不像雪糕般易溶化,概特别又好味。

Went there for anniversary celebration with gf. Location is fairly accessible, only few minutes away from the closest tram station.

Captivated by its mysterious exterior design, i knew that it would be a great dining experience.

Once entered, we received warm greetings from the staff and quickly got seated at one of the corners in the front dining hall (at the back of it, there's also larger floor which is good for occassions with more guests).

Probably too excited to see the wide variety of choices on the menu, we originally ordered 2 tapas (tomato bread and steamed egg with black truffle and crab meat), 2 main courses (suckling pig and seafood paella) and 1 sides. The manager was so kind that she came over right away and reminded us the pig is good for 2 gentlemen. Eventually we decided to try the paella during our next visit.

Besides professional service, the restaurant really lived up to its reputation also in terms of food quality. My gf and I were particularly amazed by the steamed egg and suckling pig which was aromatic, juicy and tender - paired with a bottle of red which was good value for money. We finished our meal with churros as desserts, the staff was considerate enough to write 'happy anniversary' with choco on the plate.

I look forward to next visit soon and definitely recommend you to spend an evening there with your important ones. I am sure it will be a great experience.

Cognac 的玻璃酒杯,Cognac 的金黃色澤,不同之處是橫放在杯面的小叉、配了 Iberico Ham 一片。

色澤光亮油潤的風乾火腿,見到已經垂涎,先喝一口雞尾酒,干邑之霸氣不重,然後一口火腿再一口酒,奇妙的混合,味道昇華,非常匹配!酒香不辣,反而透出絲絲可可之甘,荔枝酒之甜,協調得很,有水準!

We ordered a lobster avocado roll (which was very good), tomato tartare (one of my favorite dishes here), crab meat and spinach salad, croquette and a suckling pig. Aside from the crab meat and spinach salad the rest were all pretty well prepared and tasty.

But yes the location is kind of annoying, but that's also good in a way to be more unique and more secretive, most foodies will come for you as long as you can maintain the consistency in food.

it was lucky that i was allowed to try the mediterranean macaron, and i was shocked for the whole meal. cause when u see macaron, u would expected to have something real sweet, but this macaron was acid n a hint of sweetness from the ingredients... it was a great starter.

i then tried the smoked eel terrine, n i really love the texture combined with caramelized sugar n the spongy eel... the taste was light enough which prepared me to taste the main.

Pigeon rice had a strong taste of the broth, but it was too strong that i couldn't taste the sweetness from the diced veggie.
the pigeon is well cooked.

I then order crepe suzette for my dessert, but this wasn't serve hot although it tasted fine.

a few disappointments from the whole meal were how they describe dishes on the menu, which i thought they didn't tell me what ingredients they had put into the dishes. Instead, the menu was more like making people happy from the beginning. I misunderstood that the "creamy rice" wasn't cooked with cream, but it was just the texture.

Second was that they gave me a knife for the pigeon, n i realized that they didn't sharpen the knifes so to have it make great cut on slicing meat.

My experience in this restaurant was great, but they actually brought that down at the end. too sad to say this.

呢間餐廳已經成為我的最愛西班牙餐廳!價錢從來都唔係佢地優點,但佢地值呢個價錢。一向我都係去呢間餐廳食A la carte menu, 但佢地既brunch 相比a la carte menu 抵,所以就試下。 好彩一早book 左枱,去到見倒佢地真係好full. 因為我都唔一準時入坐,一坐低佢地就俾哂啲main course 我地⋯成張枱都係⋯好誇張再者,佢出面仲有啲seafood items, caviar egg, iberico ham 等你拎!除左食,就只有食!另加一提,佢地既fresh apple juice 係好好飲,唔好錯過!食完tapas & main course, 佢地再出埋dessert buffet table...女仔一定最鍾意不過坦白講,我就比較鍾意慢慢食,同一拎出黎熱辣辣既感覺,同埋佢個bikini 同平時食開果個比較,都係A la carte 足料啲,哈哈。我還是重質不重量的⋯我會再來,但應該是晚餐A la carte 了
