To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. “On-Yasai” literally means Warm Vegetables in Japanese.

At On-Yasai “温野菜”, they hope to provide not only quality meats but also a variety of fresh vegetables/appetizers.

After looking at the Singapore On-Yasai website, they had my favourite gnocchi and cheese as side dishes but not available in Hong Kong because locals won't order it.

On-Yasai is just the hotpot place for me because they have a huge variety of fresh vegetables and appetizers which is wonderful if you don't like red meat.

I didn't eat red meat but it was good they had clear English labelling which is what you would expect from a branch that has restaurants in Singapore like Putien and this other Shanghai dumpling place.

A big Salute to singaporeans because their English standards are generally better than HK even though they speak with a Singlsh accent.

The cubes of sweet potato puree were delicious and interesting because it had a sticky texture which didn't break up in the pot.
