Lately two of our teammates are leaving the team and so we chose Azure for a farewell lunch with them. We actually came here roughly 2 years ago for another teammate's farewell. Azure is on the 29/F of Lan Kwai Fong Hotel so on G/F, you need to ask for a staff to insert their key card for you to get access to the lift up. When the lift arrived, we saw a foyer area with sofas, pool table, book shelves, etc, which already gives a very relaxing ambience. Then we went up the stairs and get to the main dining area.

There are not a lot of seats so there is reasonable "privacy" and coziness. I also like the color theme of it. We were seated swiftly and the staff took our order. I chose seafood platter for appetizer and the Hanger Steak for main course.

After placing our order, we went to the appetizer table to start our journey~~ There were many different small dishes/glasses containing various kinds of appetizers. But if you look closer, many were actually repeating. Was a bit disappointed by the level of variety. Furthermore, there was smoke salmon last time when we came here but not anymore now

You can also get bread and soup. The soup today was tomato cream soup. The soup was very good which was out of my expectation, with creamy texture and fresh tomato taste. It doesn't taste like those canned tomato soup. But the bread was a little hard, perhaps since it was not hot. 

The seafood platter contained a crab leg, two shrimps and 2 oysters. The crab leg and shrimps were standard, nothing very special. For the oysters, my colleague told me it's quite fresh so I could have a try (as I normally don't take fresh oysters). I took her advice and tried one. Ummmm.....I think I'll just stick with my routine and my colleague finally took the other remaining one.

Here are my picks from the appetizer table (from top to bottom, from left to right):
- nachos with avocado dip: first time seeing red nachos...hopefully no artifical coloring; but the avocado dip was fine
- a tiny piece of bread with unknown paste (I guess it's something related to salmon based on the pink color): the bread was even worse than the bread that went with the soup -  
- japanese egg custard in sesame sauce: so-so 
- marinated "papaya": that wass what the staff told me but I suspected it was carrot, which, I NORMALLT DON'T EAT...but I still managed to finish them...
- squid with thin noodles in Thai sauce: the one that I enjoyed the most and I actually went out to take another one
both the squid and noodles tasted right and matched with the Thai sauce!

Since we had 22 people, it took a while for the main course for all of us to arrive. Yet, the time taken was not too bad (perhaps with so many of us chatting around, we won't realise how long it actually took
). Although the staff didn't ask us how well we wanted the steak be done, the steak was very tender with pink fresh in the middle, just about right level that I wanted
It was so juicy that I amost didn't realise there was some sauce on the side that I could have the steak with. Seriously, this was really good!

When my main course came, the first thing that attracted me was actually not the steak but the potato
However, there was too little cream. Without cream, the potato didn't have much flavor so we asked for more. Even with extra cream, it still was not enough for finishing the whole potato


Another colleague ordered pizza for his main course - I actually didn't notice it was option. From the surface it looked quite good too, with pork and pineapple. But the portion looked too big for ladies.

At the point most of us were already quite full. However, seeing a table of desserts that were difficult to resist, and knowing there is ice cream, I still took some~ In short, the ice cream was good but that sago paste really CANNOT!!!!!!
