Celebrating my family's anniversary in their favourite restaurant was dreamy. Staff were very friendly and polite welcoming every customer in the reception. Waiter efficiently came to serve us water and introduced the menu. Gave us plenty of time to decide and came back for orders.

First came with sesame coated tuna salad. Bright and vibrant. Lively and fresh. Portion was just right. Salad was lightly dressed while the runny egg yolk from the poached egg was perfect to mix in. Sesame coated tuna was cooked to perfection. Love that they used both white and black sesame for the colour while great flavour for a kick of seediness. Butter lettuce was thoughtfully chopped to bite size. The cheesy crisp gave a visual dimensional feature. Love they served both lightly tossed chickpeas and mushrooms on a side. Whole eating experience was very clean and refreshing.

Moving on to the pan seared pork chop. Absolutely loving the generous amount of asparagus they served. Could share between three. Lightly salted and charred. Pork chop was juicy and tender. Cooked to perfection even a thick cut. The seared crust was promising. Absolutely a drooling dish.

My family loved the roasted half chicken because of its fattiness and portion. Personally, found it slightly fatty, prefer more lean. Again, moist and tenser. By dipping the spice decorated beside, it gave a kick of spiciness. Choosing between potato and pumpkin, we picked pumpkin as a side. My favourite pumpkin was cooked perfectly. Perfect seasoning to keep its own sweetness while soft and remained its fibrous texture.

Beef teriyaki sauce spaghetti was another favourite of my family. Dolloped with a poached runny egg yolk. Mixing in the egg yolk, whole pasta dish became glossy and creamy. Teriyaki sauce was quite sweet as it should be while beef were pretty fatty. Appreciated stir frying in couple leek pieces for a crunch. Pasta was cooked al dante while almost the end of the plate, it was soaking with oil and sauce . Pretty salty at the end. Not my favourite though.

Rounding up tonight, we asked for a carrot cake as dessert. Small and delicate. Smartly dried up the sweet potatoes slices as petal. Crispy with a hint of sweet potato sweetness. Yogurt used gave a hint of yogurt flavour as a normal cream cheese frosting. Lighter and creamier. Even mixed with shredded carrots and dried fruits, the batter was still light but not dense. Neither too sweet nor too heavy. Perfect to round up the dinner.

All in all, a comforting dining experience with service and goodnesses. Environment was floral and natural. A perfect place for occasion and to chill.
