I felt like trying the beyond burger that Sunday after my work out. I went to the central store which was right at the exit H, from causeway bay to just have the burger. I found the store was more like a grocery store that a restaurant. It just had a simple kitchen to provide instant made food. Vegan food has a price. The burger was actually cold outside when I got it. The thick slice of tomato was fresh from the fridge I supposed. After the heat tranfer between all ingredients. I could only say the burger was luke warm ( appropriate to discribe a burger like this? ) I would prefer a hotter burger to be honest. The avocado was nice. The sauce was tasty. But if you ask me how the beyond beef tasted. I would say it tasted more like SPAM rather beef. It would be a very good substitute when I wanted SPAM very badly. 😅 I’ve tasted more realistic vegan burger before.
And I got hungry again very soon after the burger. Though i was not impressed by the burger, I would still go again to try other vegan food. I feel responsible to reduce the carbon emission from eating meat.
