星期日和家人共聚吃晚飯,溫馨的同時又有機會到新地方吃東西。家人推介到世貿吃牛肉麵,愛試新的我當然贊成。差不多8時,到達店子。店子地方不算小,坐位頗多,即時便可以入座,真好。半筋半肉粗麵和牛肉麵(可以選擇幼麵,酸菜也可選擇要或不要)牛筋夠林又彈牙,剛剛好 ,牛肉部份有些筋,是我愛吃的部份,同樣醃得入味,肉質夠林,因有些筋,所以又彈牙,好味。湯的味道亦功不可沒,香香的牛肉味👍四季豆,炒得剛剛好,豆身不會太林,味道夠。麻辣牛肚粉皮,粉皮夠滑。醬料是這類冷盤的靈魂,這麻辣醬不太辣,適合我因我很喜歡麻辣,所以覺得醬料的麻可以再加重一點,好味。麻辣蓮藕片,藕片爽脆炒土豆絲炒山竹米粉手抓餅,略嫌不夠鬆,但夠香脆。蚵仔煎,十分香口,但蚵仔太碎,也太少,吃不到蚵仔的鮮香味。我要了杯少冰少甜的珍珠奶茶,茶味較淡,珍珠差一點點才煮透。整體覺得好味,有機會會再吃

這是我第一篇食評, 本來沒有寫食評的習慣, 但是我不得不給我吃過最不像麵線的麵線一個劣評! 這個就是他們所謂的麵線, 湯像水一樣稀, 麵線口感像吃線條一樣, 真的中伏了 這個麵線還要$42(已經是下午茶價格)!!! 八方雲集比這個好食千百倍接下來是這個豆腐, 叫鹽酥一口豆腐, 先不說這個豆腐炸的奇型怪狀根本不能一口吃進口裏, 上面的豆腐鹹得要命, 下面的淡而無味 最後說說這杯跟下午茶的飲料, 整杯飲料只能用一個字來形容, 甜. 還不只甜, 而且一點茶味都沒有 用餐後整體的感覺是勁... 不過是非常差勁

The first thing that came was our appetizer of cucumber in sesame sauce. It's hard to do this wrong-- I guess I prefer the cucumber in chili oil and vinegar to the sesame sauce, but this is still good.

The soup section of the menu has a lot of options on it: beef shank, neck, brisket, tendon, and some combos. For $168 you can get the signature noodle soup, but it takes 25 minutes to prepare and they only serve 10 portions a day, so we just skipped that one. Instead, I got the shank and my wife got the brisket. For each soup you have the option of thick or thin noodles and an option to add pickled mustard greens. We went with the thick noodles.

The soup wasn't particularly spicy. They did give us one small plastic cup of chilis in oil, but they weren't very hot either. The broth was the right amount of oily and it was definitely aromatic-- star anise, I think, and maybe ginger-- and had a good beefy flavor. The noodles were OK-- nicely firm but a little bit plain. I recently had some excellent 'Taiwanese knife cut noodles' at Buddies Crawfish, so I know these can be a lot better. I think both my wife's choices were the way to go: while I liked my beef shank, her beef brisket was better, and you definitely want to order the pickles for added flavor, texture, and vegetable-y goodness.

The soup was served almost immediately after we ordered it. A little bit later in the meal came something we ordered from the "snack" portion of the menu: crispy chicken fillet. This was fantastic: piping hot from the deep fryer, crispy and crunchy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, with a good amount of salt and five spice powder. If you know Hot Star, it's like that, but perhaps with thicker breading and a little bit more flavor in the marinade for the chicken. This is not something that you need if you're having a big bowl of soup, but it is very tasty.

I can definitely see myself coming back. It's not a mind-blowing taste sensation experience, but it doesn't have to be that. The meat was nice and tender, the broth was tasty, and the noodles were serviceable. If it were closer to my house I'd probably eat here regularly.

今日一早起身,好想食台灣牛肉麵,近近地去搵小王。叫咗一個牛肉麵,半牛筋腩麵同蚵仔煎。我個半牛筋腩麵好surprise ,其中一條牛筋硬個木頭,真係好唔適合年青人食,可能個煮麵師傅先至食得到,之後仲比我喺D筋邊搵到幾條毛添,有相為證架。之後個蚵仔煎又溜單,追左幾次先嚟,個蚵仔煎仲要唔記得落鹽,我諗係因為人流不是很多所以整段時間廚房師傅,樓面,水吧,傾計多過做嘢。全場唯一一個男侍應,塊面仲黑過個紅燒湯底,唔知如果小王喺度佢係唔係咁嘅樣。

Each of us ordered a lunch set, which consisted of an appetiser + main + drink for HK$90 and you could choose from a variety. For appetiser, the two of us had the salted deep fried chicken nuggets and cucumber in sesame paste. The chicken was crunchy and didn't feel oily with just the right amount of seasoning and in fact, I thought this was the best dish amongst the food we ordered. The cucumber was what one would expect - raw cucumber dipped in the japanese kind of sesame paste, nothing inspiring. As the name of the restaurant implies, this restaurant specialises in Taiwanese beef noodles, so naturally both of us ordered the Taiwanese beef noodles. Our noodles was the one with half beef brisket and half tendon (as opposed to just beef brisket which one could also opt for). The brisket and tendon were good, they were melt in your mouth kind of tender. However, it's a shame that the noodles and the broth were only mediocre, the noodles were not springy and chewy enough to my liking and the broth could be more flavourful and more aromatic.

Menu is in English and Chinese. They give you a red pen where you circle on the laminated menu when you order. All tea sets come with a set drink or upgrade for a different drink. There is a 10% service charge.

Beef Tendon and Beef Noodle in Soup ($46). What I loved about this? The beef tendon and beef brisket was tender and marinated with a rich spices and sauce. The noodles were a thick noodle and was still chewy and not mushy. That was excellent. However, the soup didn't taste like beef broth at all. It tasted like a water and soysauce. It was so salty.

The set drink was an ice honey tea. The strange thing is when I was waiting for my drink, the waiter asked if I wanted less ice. I said no, no need to give me less ice. At first I thought I would get a regular amount of ice as it was an ice drink. What I got was a cold drink with no ice. Why ask me if I wanted less ice if this is how it was served in the first place? Very strange. The drink just tasted like the honey green tea you get from a bottle of Tao Tai. Nothing to write home about.

Disappointed with the noodles as it was good except for the soup. A far cry from the Taiwanese branch as they had a rich beef broth. Instead here they just give you a watered down soysauce broth. Given there is 10% service charge, definitely not a  deal for noodles considering there are far better places in Causeway Bay. I won't be back.

晚上約7:45,經過小王,見不用等位,餐廳環境又不錯,所以就決定試一下; 2人被安排門口附近的4人檯,座位都算闊落,但檯與檯之間的空間就比較少! 半筋半肉牛肉粗麵,牛肉份量算多,都夠軟身入味,但麵有點硬,或許跟粗麵的質地有關吧!湯頭是帶有點點藥材的苦味! 同伴點了牛筋幼麵,除了湯頭有點點油,看來總的都可以 木耳小吃,木耳都是爽脆的,但不大喜歡這種醋味,超酸,好像沒有醋香 凍胚牙珍珠奶茶,忘記點微甜,當然覺得太甜啦! 胚牙味道怪怪,好像有點旱味;珍珠又超硬,沒嚼勁,真的不算好飲 !

凍胚牙珍珠奶茶,忘記點微甜,當然覺得太甜啦! 胚牙味道怪怪,好像有點旱味;珍珠又超硬,沒嚼勁,真的不算好飲 !

周六如常走到世貿中心辦一些事,從地面乘電梯上一樓,見到小王的巨大宣傳牌架,見圖片吸引,不妨試試。紅油炒手亦紅亦橙色的紅油,看似對辦,含材料碎粒富口感,味道微辣微甜過得去。餃子不俗,皮薄料足,調味恰當,整體尚算滿意。胡椒燒餅心中記掛着在台北夜市吃到的水準,當然未能如願,胡椒味不濃厚,始終未能重手,但作為一道燒餅,皮無過厚,牛肉餡料份量恰當,唯欠香惹。招牌牛肉麵深褐色的湯頭,並非不濃稠但又非特別出色,是牛肉熬成的,氾著多少油光。牛肉選材上乘,嫩肉連爽軟的筋,咀嚼無渣,炆至非常入味,口感佳。扁寛的麵順滑有力,掛湯亦不俗,配上兩棵白菜,均衡飲食,配搭得宜。點心紙點菜,員工有效率,出菜亦快,環境衛生企理。走過的話,家常麵一碗,價錢合理。
