I was very against this new trend of fusion-esque Chinese food popping up in the market. That said, we decided to go to Ho Lee Fook for their BlackSheep promo and I’m so glad I did. The flavours weren’t as western as I thought it’d be and the flavour profiles were just absolute explosions in the mouth. For flavours and decor I’d give it a 8.5/10. Service while not terrible, was a little pushy and rushed for my liking. 8/10. Would return for casual outings

Friends from UK came to visit, so took them to this place before we go for drinks.

Ordered the prawn toasts, mom’s dumplings, beef tartare, morning glory, Waygu beef short ribs, XO Cheung fun, Hokkaido scallops, roast goose, and the mix yourself steam rice...

The whole restaurant is quite dark lol more like a hidden bar than restaurant lol but, the waiter who was serving our table was fab, very nice, excellent service.

Beef tartare very nice, better than many other places in hk;

Hokkaido scallops, tasty but I personally feel too buttery 😅

Prawn Toasts, one of their signature dishes, which I like, would also recommend 😊

Mom’s dumplings, just so so. Maybe cause I read here it’s hot items, i therefore has some high expectation from them, but just some normal mandu 😏

Mix your own steam rice...similar to the korean rice with gim...almost same actually, apart from here is very pricy😂

Roast Goose, looks nice, though I didn’t get chance to get a taste of it 😏😂

Morning Glory, this is just some normal veg dish that can get from any Chinese / Thai restaurant, nothing special.

Wok fried XO Cheung Fun, same, nothing much special I believe the one those restaurants that specialise serving dim sum are better.

Waygu beef short ribs, not bad yet not outstanding, I had it better in hk.

Our waiter was very friendly and explained the menu and gave recommendations. The food itself was good, would recommend the fish and the corn. although i had thought the goose here was one of the go to items, however i found the meat quite dry.

There's this one night special menu with exquisite dishes prepared by chef Anita Lo, who owns Annisa in NY. We of course had to go!! 😝The food was superb as usual. There's this one night special menu with exquisite dishes prepared by chef Anita Lo, who owns Annisa in NY. We of course had to go!! 😝

The food was superb as usual. Staff were extremely friendly, from the booking process to getting the bill and sending us out


Our favorite dishes are the favoursome foie gras dumplings, the extremely tender ox tongue and cheek, and the sea bass that's cooked in a fusion way, panseared but with a taste of spring onion!


The one night special menu just suits the resto fusion style and we will come back next time, for its usual menu lol
