The black sheep restaurants always have their fans.This one again, the food is ok to good.I have hope on this british indian cuisine but they didn’t impress me.Charges $100 for a naan is like charging $100 for a bowl of plain white rice.The lamb is ok good, not as amazing as others said when it costs over$500.Other food have nothing to talk about.And it looks overpriced (over $600/person) in a tiny space only allows you to stay only 1.5hr.Otherwise, the food need to be really good.My overall impression to Black Sheep is pricey without relevant quality regarding dining spacing, tight time restriction, taste.The service is remarkable in all of them I visited.…Read More

Kurume 個羊架條骨比一般french cap的lamb rack粗大和長一倍以上。肉部分大概450g,感受不到well done的lamb rack如何嫩滑。

Kurume The best pasta in town? They are ok to good, but not the best. I doubt anyone would agree after trying linguine vongole, Rigatoni Vodka is better.

Kurume 再説,那天的carrot cake 的butter cream很硬。相信是預先啫花切好放雪櫃的,這樣便解釋到為何件carrot cake 咁乾硬。咁樣收$200,就算夠份量大又如何?平均$100一人一款dessert的*都大把選擇啦! 好多真正fine dining 啲a la carte 甜品也是百幾二百啦,但肯定不是雪硬了的carrot cake同咁嘅質素!

今天見生果説佢地話自己保留原有菜式,忍不住㝍一㝍。我因小學1-3年級左右開始,由父母帶去食午餐,最初一個海鮮大會~$30多元,什果賓治等。就是灣仔波士頓那類。到大左男友帶我去食扒,大概$150~200,好似變了有酥皮湯嗰類。之後,變成一個食個歺已$300~500。加上偶然的朋友敍會等。雖然不算是常客,但可以肯定佢地個menu轉過無數次。食物質素從前像港式西餐廳,菜式當然不是正宗英菜,但勝在郊區,価格地道,算是不錯選擇。之後,起碼10年前,朋友說該店由個仔接手,menu轉晒,出埋在啲carbonara, tiramisu, creme brûlée嗰類,価錢亦幾級跳。想走高級路線,本來也無可厚非,始終在石崗及林錦公路囗,拍拖上大帽山等...遊車河勝地。無奈,菜式、味道水準又未到位。最近幾個月又去過,menu又轉了,價格平了點點$250~400了,但食物質素維持港式西餐的水準,ok普通。佢有咁嘅地利,啲人又鐘情‘懚世食店’,想走高級路線,咁隔涉,找到的話,搵返個有水準的大廚主理或起碼監修作菜式指導吧!相片我提供不到,但我由細去到大。如果你負担得來,又喜歡扒x之x般的貨式,路過食下可以的,附近亦無怎西歺選擇。…Read More

Food is ok, not impressive except the pineapple ravioli.I guess they changed the chef and the wait staff.The price seems a little higher than in the old location.The space is very packed. Tables are too close to each other.It looks younger and more causal.Prefer the layout and interior space before its removal.Service is good, but its even better before its relocation.For the same range, Ole of the same group is better value of money. Visited for lunch.   Food is so so. Bread, starters and desserts are nothing to write about. The bread basket can't compare with Robuchon or Gaddi's. It's not even delicious.The crispy frog legs was in fact 4 meatballs, won't consider if would have knew this. The only one thing cannot miss is that signature (in my view) lamb rack. Not much top notch can beat this, and  this is inside a set lunch without additional charge.And the price tag for house wine($88/glass) which could be paired according to your course are unparalleled with its quality in this luxury setup.Regarding the quality of the whole lunch set, I have gave up the idea for having dinner in Petrus, it's not attractive. And more importantly, the set dinner do not have lamb rack for an option. But I would definitely return for lunch. Been to there twice, both times sat in pod large & small.  One booking I reserved the pod while another not, I guess the pod are getting too popular they are running out,  agreed they should have better management. My tips: in fact the large pod is not that comfortable, the table is quite low compare to  the seat with a distant, it's more suitable for drinking than eating, it makes me always sitting at the very edge of the cushion to eat,  the small pod is better in such scale. The food is fairly good if you are not looking for authentic Indonesian, but I strong advised to come in Sun~Thur for small groups, they offer tasting menu which allows you to try more varieties in a just-right portion. Another time I ordered a la carte the portions are too much for 2 and sacrificed the varieties. The experience is not as enjoyable as the tasting menu. And attractive price for the bubbles.And the best time to come is half hour or so before sunset to enjoy the day/night feeling of this place.I've never been serious upon their causal services despite it could be better. The staff provides me sarong to cover my skirt in order to sit on the pod, not too bad. I hope they are renovating more pods to meet the demands, to build more pods along the wall side shading with greens or bamboo looks good as well.In a whole, it's place I recommend to try out, overall experience is nice an unique.…Read More

We were the only table after the busy festival holiday. 4 of us ordered the autumn dinner course. And after we were back, I recalled they forgot to send us the Porcini soup. I didn't call back coz I won't bother to return for a refund or granting me a free afternoon tea if this is what they might offer at their best. But this experience is really disappointing and never happened to any western restaurants at similar class. And the feeling  is more worse while you were the only table for the whole night after a table of 2 left at about 1930 and yet, we ordered the same dinner course with choices of main, and only one kind of soup which is not an option. Both the kitchen staff and the wait staff missed the soup in this only set dinner this restaurant offered on a quiet night. I would wonder the quality of their operation. On the good side, there is no decline on the food quality though neither surprising nor standout.…Read More
