This is the second time I visited this restaurant in Shum Shui Po for dinner expecting fully that I would be tasting some of the finest traditional Cantonese dishes in Hong Kong and I wasn’t disappointed. We had the marinated pig’s knuckles for starter and it was delicious. The texture of the knuckles was just right, neither too soggy nor chewy, and were complemented perfectly by the mildly spiced sweet soy sauce. The steamed pork with salted fish was also a delight, which reminded me of what mum used to cook at home. By far the best dish on the night was the steamed eel in black bean sauce. The eel was so fresh that the flesh was truly al dente. The service was also commendable and the staff managed to make us feel at home and comfortable with their attentiveness and good sense of humour.
