Went here for lunch and wanted to try their store special so did not order their lunch set. Their special is tomato soup noodles with fried tofu and fishballs (紅白丸子千層腐皮番茄湯麵)...and it is disgusting. The soup was only lukewarm and is basically just pureed tinned tomatoes. The fishballs are handmade but they are so fishy ('seng') that I didn't finish them. The tofu was the only ok bit about this dish. I ordered dessert at the same time as the noodles because they use an order form where you have to tick each item. But they brought the dessert out right after my noodles arrived 🤦🏻‍♀️. I actually only wanted to eat here because of this dessert - and it was really good! The grass jelly is refreshing and the pearls & syrup just right. The only thing is, they could have been more generous with the pearls...there weren't that many.I wished I had only ordered the dessert. The only reason I come to this cafe is for its French Toast - it's really good as they use the cinnamon bread from Po's Atelier. But other than that, there are no positive points. Coffee is bad and their barista is slow. Non-existent service for a small cafe that is not busy with two wait staff - don't expect them to come back to take your order after they have seated you, they are too busy having a chat amongst themselves. Tried dinner here since it's been recently awarded one Michelin star. This restaurant doesn't deserve this accolade.Long wait for food and then things were served out of order (soup did not arrived first). Very long wait in between dishes and we kept having to chase up for them. Staff did not care and did not apologize - you would get better service at a cha chaan teng. Food is definitely not worthy of one Michelin star rating - very bland. Surly manager then accused us of ordering incorrectly when I pointed out a mistake in the bill. We ordered the crab meat with vermicelli clay pot, which for $300 only had the tiniest bit of crab meat inside. It would have still been ok if the vermicelli was tasty, but it tasted of nothing. It was very disappointing for something they listed as a chef specialty on the menu. Other dishes were ordinary and not value for money, as the servings were very small.
