錯重點之豬手入口化

應QC要求,再來吃手打烏冬。我一眼看中石鍋豬手烏冬,QC則選擇海鮮烏冬。餓極的我追加了香辣豬肉腸串,肉汁香濃,初吃時不太辣,原來是之後從喉嚨慢慢辣出來,但不算十分吸引。重點在豬手烏冬,首先一定要讚賞店家的考量,將豬手另上,石鍋烏冬的湯才能保持雪白好喝,我把整碗湯乾了。豬手有驚喜,全去骨又是充分看出店家細心的地方,肉煮得極軟熟,連皮吃完全是入口化的境界好吃到無話可說,讓我完全沉醉在豬手的美味中,渾忘嚐一口QC的海鮮烏冬。另外由於豬手的份量極足,下次會考慮三五知己去吃時單點一份做餸,不至吃得太膩。…Read More

和QC二人亂咁行之下憑直覺貢左入呢間店度貪其望落細細間卻有種親切感,原來是受美食呼召既感應。我叫左個黑松露炸魚漢堡加薯條,尐黑松露醬多到可以用埋嚟點薯條食係乜野玩法?所有野新鮮整起,炸魚肉質口感都食得出新鮮富彈性,黑松露醬據聞係店家自製,夠晒香同惹味點薯條(仲要係粗身)真係無得輸,下次再嚟一定會食佢個黑松露薯條。QC叫左個虎蝦冬蔭功意粉如果跟返原來寫既扁意粉可能更開心,但個冬蔭功湯做得唔錯,有人乾晒成碗真係湯都飲晒,係開胃既。兩個人食完其實已經飽左大半,但甜品實在太吸引,本住係另一個胃既心態當然要食埋。老闆大力推薦下,QC㨂左楊枝甘露,結果證明係good choice呂宋芒夠香唔會酸到喊,西柚肉夠水份得嚟同樣唔太酸,成個配搭真係恰到好處,好食到我都好想幫佢食晒...但我自己都點左個tiramisu,形狀有驚喜之餘,味道都唔錯,最好係有酒味得嚟唔會太過份,食落都無話覺得俾酒浸到淋晒,個自家製雪糕口感幾特別,有少少似雪芭既質地,又真係有自家製既感覺。相對楊枝甘露係無咁驚喜既,但已經算係唔錯既作結。特別鳴謝店家熱情招待之餘仲請左我地一人食一粒益力多磚仔,個人認為喺前兩者既出色表現下,呢個真係貪口痕試下就算。下次最想試係拎上枱唔準影相既梳夫厘,店家話最多佢提供相俾我po喎。…Read More

唔係第一次嚟食,以往印象幾好,但今次實在太過份。隔離枱遲過我到,叫埋同一個set,食完俾埋錢走埋,我嗰個set都未到,眼見四周遲過我嚟叫埋同一個set既人陸續有得食,我終於忍唔住叫個waiter嚟問,第一個走左去有無check/check成點無返嚟同我講,等多陣我再問另一個waiter,我望住佢走去check完一輪拎住張單入廚房,無幾耐出返嚟同我講話on the way,於是我再等多十分鐘,結果我由1:20等到1:53,作為一個要返工而食飯時間只得一個鐘既人,呢個已經係極限,而其實就算佢1:55分真係嚟到份餐,我都無可能用五分鐘去鯨吞一塊扒,所以我最終係要搵第三個waiter叫佢cancel我個餐,成個lunch hour我只係不停地食左好多二手煙 (有問過想轉坐室內但個waiter係睇都唔睇就話室內滿座無得轉,而嗰陣已經過左最繁忙入座時間),對呢間野我真係第一次咁失望,以後都唔會再嚟呢度食! …Read More

吃/喝得出的心思

其實這已不是第一次來CoCo喝咖啡,現在才寫食評的確有點慚愧。由於在附近上班的關係,CoCo剛開張不久,已慕名而至(這個名又是愛啡之友的介紹)。本來以為只是咖啡出色,但卻有意外驚喜。想起來其實我一直很幸運(或者也可算是有緣吧),因為頭兩次來都碰巧有老闆在店內坐鎮(據聞他有時會在中環的分店出沒)。第一次,當我正掙扎要Weight Watcher’s Special(三文魚啊)還是CoCo’s Big Breakfast(英式早餐一向是本人至愛)之際,老闆推介前者,因為「三文魚好新鮮呀今日」,我當然乖乖聽話,另外很開心是配croissant而不是多士,而實情是…三文魚的確好好味好新鮮,但亮點竟然完全落在croissant上了…這麼說也許有點誇張,但我當時真的完全被那微熱鬆軟爆香牛油味的「牛角」震懾住了,雙眼放晒光(其實我覺得自己當時的表情可能有點嚇到老闆和店員…)。 我甚至忍不住問老闆可否單點croissant外賣,結果是至少也要跟個炒蛋…好吧…只好打消朝朝早去買牛角的念頭。第二次,我決定一試Big Breakfast,嘩這個真是不得了! 牛角當然一樣出色,但本人覺得自己這次真是份外十分非常幸運,主要因為那個脆卜卜極香口但不會油到嚇死人、好味到爆晒燈的煙肉,是老闆煎的!我一邊吃一邊感動到眼眶含淚(好吧又誇張大師上身),還忍不住告訴同行的同事自己已經很久很久沒吃過好吃的煙肉(老老實實我一向以為煙肉沒可能是我杯茶,因為通常吃到的版本不是煎到變樹皮或硬身到牙都想咬崩,就是油到讓我肚瀉,真是慘情到無朋友),而且是重覆又重覆地講了幾次(同事大概會覺得我癲左)。最記得最記得老闆聽到我說煙肉好好味時說的一句話:「用心煮嘛!」真的會從食物中吃得到那份誠意,完全無「hea」客。嗯…重點會不會放錯了呢…明明應該先講咖啡。(笑)不知何故,那一期我有種「Latte太多奶,Flat White好像少一點」的錯覺,於是一直只在CoCo喝Flat White,不會太濃,但又夠厚實,讓人喝得很舒服,簡單講就是好喝(抱歉我這門外漢在這方面的形容實在很貧乏)。如是者中間去喝過很多次都是喝Flat White,然後又是「返唔到轉頭」的結果(註釋:雖然灣仔加金鐘一帶有很多店可以喝到Flat White,但喝過CoCo的版本已經很難再願意喝其他店的出品),直至早一陣子因為自己身體健康問題,暫別這裡一段時間。這個星期因為心癮起,和朋友四出試啡,才想起自己好像沒喝過這裡的Latte。結果…不喝還好,一喝便又是「返唔到轉頭」的下場(雖然其實早已返唔到轉頭,因為曾經喝過一杯好味到只應天上有的Latte,可惜已很難喝到那個版本)。泡打得極細極滑,但又不會覺得奶的比重太大,又是喝起來很舒服的感覺。繼續覺得本人極其幸運,因為連續兩天去喝Latte都是由阿Kim沖的,第一天是外賣,在等過馬路時已急不及待喝了一口,溫度剛好,因為太好喝,我忍不住望著隻杯傻笑,懶理身旁同樣等過馬路的疑似阿叔投來奇異的眼光…第二天堂食,感覺稍微燙了一點,但稍停一會再喝又好味到我傻笑。慶幸離得近,長吃/喝長有。…Read More

第一次寫食評,多多指教。一向喜歡喝咖啡,但並非專業品啡的那種,更多時候是依從味覺喜好,只求好喝。因為店子太新,之前在開飯這裡還沒有資料,第一次和同事到此一遊其實是因為愛啡(且比我專業多了)的朋友介紹。同事點了一杯Flat White,我點了一杯Latte,以作比較。本來已吃飽的我,眼看店家有蘋果批,也忍不住要了一件。先說咖啡,本人較喜歡Latte,雖然我不太喜歡味道偏酸的咖啡,但這裡的Latte的酸度屬可接受程度。特別值得一讚的是溫度的控制,新鮮沖好的咖啡不會燙得無法入口,於是可以即時嚐味。店主還教會了我以手腕貼近杯子來辨別咖啡溫度是否適宜入口的小貼士,很高興學到了新知識。(雖然之後被朋友取笑我連這也不懂,蝦蝦)抱歉我這個門外漢對於咖啡的部分似乎不太說得上甚麼,反而想多說一點店內的糕點。蘋果批確實有驚喜,雖然有些人喜歡「抵食夾大件」,但對於已吃過午飯的人來說(即是我啦),這裡的份量剛剛好。驚喜部分在於味道的調配,沒有人工化(artificial)的假蘋果味,不會太甜和太膩,批內的果肉和nuts份量也恰到好處,果肉很juicy豐滿,和烘得夠乾身的批皮配合起來剛剛好,吃起來不會覺得「乾爭爭」,吃罷叫人再三回味,我覺得說這是鎮店之寶也不為過。假如沒試過其他糕點便妄下結論又似乎欠缺了說服力,於是隔了兩天,在星期六傍晚又和朋友來這裡試了其他items,選了plain scone、orange and currant scone和店家特別推介的snowball。Scone夠鬆化,論味道本人較喜歡orange的那一款,plain的始終略嫌單調,幸好份量不多。Snowball又是一個驚喜,看其外表白雪雪,剛開始也有點擔心會不會是那種沾滿糖霜「甜到喊」的東西,吃起來卻又不是太甜,質地很輕盈,內有原粒果仁,作為「一口甜品」絕對合格,和咖啡更是絕配,難怪店家在推介時打趣說不好吃不收錢。再隔了兩天又去試了Madeleine,味道雖好,但始終不及蘋果批吸引。話說後來去的兩次蘋果批不是售罄便是缺貨,可見的確很有「鎮店」風範。(其實有點擔心這樣介紹完會不會更難吃到…但好的東西總應該要多分享的吧,蝦蝦)另外,本人也買了店家推介的Darjeeling earl grey tea茶包一試,聞和喝起來都很清新,冷或熱都很喜歡。總括而言還是很喜歡這裡,會繼續捧場。(話說這星期已連續兩天去喝咖啡了…明天大概還會繼續)…Read More
