I just found out the name of this restaurant while writing this review.We were walking around mk looking for a nice dessert place and we found ocio.But it seemed like a dessert place looking at their banner.Since we were full we still tried the lasagne and waffle with ice cream.The lasagne was quite good which my wife loved it.The waffle came sizzling hot with a lot of syrup but it made the waffle very soggy quite fast.still the top of the waffle wasnt crispy.Overall the waffle seemed stale,floury and made earlier.Didnt liked it.Coffee was ok.Ambience was also ok.Might come back if we troll around mk at night again.Hehe.😁…查看更多

This place looks very cozy and romantic.Greeted nicely and welcomed in a good manner.We luckly got the best seating right in the middle of the restaurant.First came the soup.It's just mediocre.You get this soup in a chain tengs.Its basically a minestrone soup.More rustic with a better presentation would be nice.The bread that came with the soup was sweet.It's better if the bread is just plain or with some grains.It will overkills the soups flavour.We ordered a steak, Japanese curry rice and some tartines.The menu is nicely designed but the food is all over the place.You can find most of the cuisines in the menu.But some people might like it coz sometimes you go to Japanese restaurant and after you sit down you want to eat pizza.The steak was good but they didnt ask me weather I like it rare,medium or well done.Luckly I got a medium well done which I like anyway.The Japanese curry was just bad ass.Very good and my wife said she will just come to eat that.The tartines were just average.The main winner was the apple crumble.Its was by far the best one I ever had in hongkong.Thumbs up to the one who made it.You got some charm on your hands.Good place,clean, romantic and good food.Pokka cafe is not focused on one particular cuisines but it's quite impressive to see good execution on all the food.The staff is very good and I saw them working very diligently like in a orchestra.Good cultureI rate it 4.5 out of 5.…查看更多

Went there for lunch.I have been here many times but this time I want to review it.The only reason I went there is that my wife likes the noodles.The soup broth was very good.The side crackers are also good but a bit bland.I ordered the beef rice which looked very good on presentation.But it was like just boiled and flash fried in oil then add some soy sauce.There is a vietnamese restaurant in central which is my favorite.They saute the rawbeef with spices and onions on a wok which is a true vietnamese style.I also saw the same when I visited Vietnam.The way they cook the beef is kinda cheating.Anyways the place is clean and very friendly.The soup is to die for.100% thumbs up for the broth.We will go back just to drink the broth only.Hehe!…查看更多

I always pass through yoho mall and today I decided to try pepper lunch as I saw they had a new item on the menu.Everything is perfect.I tried the chicken with egg,prawns and nasi goreng sauce.But no taste of basi goreng.They just added some chili slices and walla no I goreng.The only thing is no greetings,no smile it's like a robot zone.When I sat down the table was dirty and no staff bothered to clean it.I also didnt had a tissue.so I just used my ticket push off the remainings down from the table.The worst part is I had to eat the damm thing without touching the table.My hands also got tired.It was like I was back to work.LOL.Luckly the food comes with a tray so may be that the purpose of the tray.Pepper lunch~ We dont clean tables so just use the big tray for defense.The food is great.Please have a culture with smiles and happiness.The art of smile is almost gone in hk now a days.Everything seems like cynical.…查看更多

Been there with my wife as we were carving for some curry action even in a rainy day.But it was a disappointment.When we enter no clear instructions what they have or how to start.Luckly I did the research before we went in and i knew they had buffet lunch of hk$88.But if you are a new person going in get ready to be confused.There should be a lunch menu with clear details.They can also make money by upselling some premium drinks but without a menu that's not possible too.They just gave us water.Customers can pay more if they are provided with extra options.Now the food is ok but the problem was it wasnt hot enough.It was medium Luke warm and on a humid rainy day it just sucks to eat a cold meal.The naan was like rubber soles.You can buy better naans from welcome.The curries again seemed stale and old.I have eaten curries everywhere in other indian restaurants so I know the exact taste.I pity on other chinese customers who are oblivious to this taste.The decor.It's just dingy and smells like armpit.I want to advise the boss/manager to ramp up the business...then make fresh food...ask your lazy manager to clean the place....have a clear menu and brighten up the decor.I support small businesses so I hope you guys can provide better product and make a lot of money.Dont hate me.Hate yourself for not doing the job properly. Went there with my wife and her friend.They just had a new menu launched.It's very hard to choose a food as the menu has noodles,pizza,pastas,dumplings and a lot of mix match.It would be nice if they would stick to a particular style of food.The menu has all the cuisines.Its gets complex and confusing if you are trying to make everything for everyone but you satisfy none.We ordered the salami pizza,a soup and an all daybreakfast.They also offered us other items and drink on the house which was very kind of them.The service is the best of all I have seen in hk.The staff are nice and attentive.Only thing if they would focus more on a one particular genre of food then it would elevate their signature styles.The pizza is nice with good quality salami.The cheese is great too.Breakfast is very good.Soup has a very rustic and less on the creamy side which adds an extra dimension to its texture.Dessert-creme brulee.They did a flambee unfortunately the brulee wasnt firm.Seems like it missed something in the receipe.Normally you can scoop softly with a spoon but it just felt like it disintegrated like milk lumps.Cooking a brulee in a deeper ramiken can do the brulee proper justice.Apple crumble-Rich with cinnamon and and cooked perfectly.All the drinks were the finest.The thai drink took my taste buds to the next level.kodus the one who made it.The place has a woody and nordic feel which I love quite a lot.Will come back for lunch when Iam free or here in Yoho for a movie.…查看更多

Went there with my wife for a lunch.We ordered noodle and rice with beef.The place is quite small and very homey.I really liked the beef rice which i havent found in any other vietnamese restaurant.Will go back again and again.Only thing they are playing some 2010 old pop songs which are quite off to the cusine.If they just play some soothing vietnamese flute music then it would be very pleasant.Overall the food is yummmmmm.…查看更多

First time here and it feels like a modern china.The place looks so authentic yet the decor has all the comfort chinese feel.Firstly very good service.Secondly the place can get crowded very fast so make sure you jump in asap.We ordered the tea set Mini barbequed pork with rice which is only $32.Such a bargain and the pork tastes nice.Together with the garlic and ginger sauce it goes very well.We also ordered the fish with rice curry.The fish was a bit salty and not enough curry sauce.Hard to finish all the rice with a little bit of curry.I would rate it 7/10.Ok place.Good service.…查看更多

This has been my second time and i thought why not give it a good review.The food here is very good.We tried the south thali which has like 10 condiments with rice and papad in the middle.we also ordered some chappati and Puris.The puris were smothered with ghee and its was just too good when eaten with the vegetarian goodies.The place is not that expensive also.The only thing they changed was the menu which last time had more combos,like different kinds of thali which were their featuring items.Now is kinda more alacarte style.neverthe less i will never get tired of going to Saravanna Bhawan.…查看更多

I live in yeunlong and i pass by this restaurant everyday!I always wanted to try it for lunch one day.But this day me and my wife went to try the dinner at almost when they had the last call.we ordered the thai basil and pork fried rice.Another one was spicy fried chicken rice.May be we were on a war with fried rice.They also came with a complimentary bbq chicken satay.let be behold the god of taste ....the fried rice was so good that we were struggling to take the photos.With the added spices it went to the next level.This has been one of that best family run restaurant where you find just that authenticness in the food.The drinks were also wonderful.Plus the owner himself was super helpful and helped us throughout.I am dying to go back and try their other items.Please visit this hidden gem.…查看更多

I normally dont write reviews because my time is more valauble then rather write a review.But this is the worst of the worst so iam investing some of my time so that other poeple wont waste their hard earned money on this restaurant.Anyway had a meeting at causewaybay and had to wait a bit.So i went to this restaurant as it look very clean and nicely decorated.I could have ordered the cheap tea set but i went for a fried chicken with garlic sauce and rice with a normal ice tea as i know as an business owner myself i how hard it is to run a restaurant.So a bit of my choice would help them.When i entered the place literally like no hello or greetings or even after i sat down nobody dare to give any attention.WOW!Even in kfc they will greet.LOL.The server threw the ice tea like he was in bowling alley.Errrr.The food came quite fast.The chicken was just a deep fried piece in some kind of generic batter and was bland..tasteless.i could have still eaten with some chilli sauce but behold the garlic sauce.It was so so salty that it felt like salt and water and they threw some raw garlic in it.Just from one bite i felt like a deep headache as i thought may be its authentic vietnamse sauce.If i ate it god knows what will happen to me.I have eaten the same food in other veit restaurants but this is like a torture.Its like you pay money to let someone disrespect and torture you.I tried my best to take out the sauce but unfortunately it was all over the place.So iam so sad that i couldnt eat it.Its hard to explain in this review that how bad it really was.Poeple go to restaurants to have a better food than they can cook at home.But even a kid can cook better than this.Luckly the rice was good.You know why because it must cooked by the wonderful mr.ricecooker!I usually never complain and ask to change the dishes.I just paid and left.Suprisingly nobody dare to even itch to know what was wrong.May be they are blind.On top of that they also added service charge.I got zero value from this place and the only way to survive is to provide more value than you preach.Dear owner if you are reading this then please change your staff or management before it gets too late.Dont lose your investment.ps.You dont show up in google maps.Do some seo.…查看更多

Evening of 28 july i found this new creperie Springfields.I tried their Tea set where you can find other options such as coffees,cupcakes and milkshakes.I tried the banans's way and it felt like heaven.The crepe is very good...not too sweet and not too soggy.It perfect.I have been trying to cut on my diets but this day i went to try their strawberry shortcake.It was very refreshing.Will be going back soon for their savory galettes!!Definetly some frenchy vibes going on.…查看更多

Me and my wife we work in central and we go to bep often.The food is very good.The staffs are very attentive and not pushy.I love having my lunch and read books on audibles in my phone.The place gives me the hk fast paced feel.We ordered the rice with pork and it was presented beautifully.iIts quite nice that you dont have to go to vietnam to taste their authentic food.I always go there and will be going there until forever i guess.overall good food-good staff!!!…查看更多
