Yu,mmy goodness right in the middle of K11
Artisan Lounge
2021-12-02
K11 MUSEA is already a favourite of mine and to find out they have a cute little lounge right in the middle was such a wonderful surprise.  It's a cute little lounge tucked away with a fabulous vibe. I enjoyed watching the crowd go by as I munched on the food. I also like how you get good privacy from the tall seats and also the leafy decorations. The food was out of this world as well, clearly they spent a lot of time designing it because you really go on a journey from the bottom to the top. Savory to sweet. My favourite was the homemade mochi that was so unique and tasted so good. As for savoury items, I liked the teriyaki cod fish cracker as the cod was so buttery and soft, and the cracker was so crunchy which brings a nice contrast. The tea set made me miss traveling to Japan. If only there were more Japanese tea or drinks to go with the set!…Read More

Decent food in Stanley
SeaFront
2020-11-10
Stanley area is usually known for being a bit over priced and this restaurant out of the lot is still fairly affordable and the quality of food is still acceptable. It's not fine dining style for sure, but for Stanley if you are looking for quality at an affordable price then this is the place to go. Chops were cooked well and through. Flavour was nice and tasty. Would have liked to see a few more chips, otherwise still fine. It's a bit local style Western food which is fine. …Read More

Am in love with this place
Samsen 泰館
2020-11-10
Am totally in love with this place. the food is extraordinary, always love the twists that they put on these different dishes. It really maintains its authenticity while also bringing some totally new flavous to the mix. Food is always great, sometimes a dish maybe a little bit too small, but you can always order another dish to make you fuller. It is a bit pricey, which I dont mind paying because they have the quality and are able to deliver. Only issue I would have is they are always so tight about your full party arriving before they seat you, I get you are busy, but my mum is 83 years old and having her wait outside is not ideal for us so think their system while understandable is a bit annoying at times. Other than that I and my whole family love this place and will still be back.…Read More

Lovely breakfast
JW Cafe
2020-11-10
The restaurant is huge and the buffet breakfast is a feast. There is so much selection to choose from, it is really hard to try and get a taste of everything, but I definitely took up the challenge! Loved most dishes and everything was nice. Loved all their different stations, eggs, chinese, western, fruits, pastries and everything. They had a couple of live cooking stations, no issues with food. Except maybe the noodle station the noodles were only a bit average and not that nice. The breakfast period was packed all the way through. Guessing it was a full house, they still managed to provide good service even though they were really busy.  Breakfast was included in the room.…Read More

Awesome resort style Delaneys
DELANEY'S
2020-11-10
I always love Delaneys, the outdoor area is definitely the main attraction here. The views are awesome, they have some outdoor service, but at times are a bit unattentive. We pretty much stayed here for the whole afternoon drinking though. Fabulous place to handout and chill.Food: The burger was juicy and tasty, it was nice and red in the middle and was seasoned well. It is not a fast food burger so the price is a bit higher, but was still good. I remember before the burger was even better, but not sure if they have changed something recently. Otherwise still tastes great. Chips were only average, nothing special, felt a bit old and were not that great. …Read More

Ambiance and vibe are cool
Sohofama
2020-11-09
The atmosphere is fun, cool and chill. The inside is very nice, they have redecorated and feels a lot more spacious now. Is a great happening vibe on the weekend. The outdoor seating feels really nice, like you are in a different area, not even in HK. Unfortunately there were some sewage smells when we were there, not sure where they were coming from. We moved inside for drinks. Food wise it was ok. dim sum is really overpriced for what it is, for that price I was expecting amazing stuff, but it really was medicore. The rice was hard and not seasoned very welll. The har gau was basic and normal just like any other dim sum restaurant. Not really the fusion/modern they pitch themselves as. Very Central priced so definitely expect more. I would come back for drinks but not sure about the food.…Read More

Chips were good!
Concerto Inn Palm Tree Pigeon & Seafood Cafe
2020-11-03
Nice place because it is right by the beach, but it is covered by a lot of trees so hard to see out to the beach at times. Very large open space which makes it nice and relaxing. A pity they didnt open up the whole restaurant so we couldnt go to the back where there was less people. The sandwich was cooked nicely and was all there, but was a pretty standard sandwich, something you might get at a medium scale restaurant, nothing fancy or over the top. I found the chips to be the yummiest part of the meal to be honest. It was really hard to get anyones attention as they are not really focused on the tables so we missed out on ordering a few drinks as they just took too long so we went elsewhere. Not sure if thats just Lamma style though. Otherwise a nice place to come and chill by the beach and then maybe hit the beach after.…Read More

Ramen that you wanna noms
Kamitora Tonkotsu
2020-11-03
They do have a sign saying that good ramen takes time so be patient in waiting for your meal. I guess that did kind of happen that it did take a while to arrive, maybe at least 10 minutes. But when it arrived it was certainly very tasty and I wanted to devour the whole soup. Ingredients were nice and tasty, but I have to say it was pretty normal Ramen, nothing like wowed me. but still was pretty good. Egg was cooked nicely was nice and gooey and went well with the meal. I think just a couple more noodles would have made all the difference. Shame they take cash only. …Read More

Yummy & Spicy
K-Roll (文咸東)
2020-11-03
Wow, the Korean's love their spice, and this dish was no different. It had a really yummy spicy kick to it that made the rice soooo good to eat. The pork was tasty and was well cooked, came with some mushrooms and onions. However for $80 I was expecting a bit more, I left feeling just a touch still hungry, I think they could have increased portion size just ever so slightly or have brought down the price. Overall quality of food was very good and you can see it prepared in front of you.…Read More

Looks like a fun place
Missy Ho's
2020-10-29
Went there because of seeing all the fun on social media and thought it looked like a cool place to go. In theory it looked great, nice decorations, looks like a really fun and chill place to go. I usually like most stuff from Castelo. Called their phone like three times to try and alert them to the fact that we were going to be late for our booking but seems their phone line was diverted to the manager at home who sounded asleep when he called me back about an hour later when we were already seated at our table.  Not sure why staff at the restaurant couldn't pick this up. Seems like no one cares about masks here as no staff in the kitchen nor behind the bar were wearing one at all and didnt think anything of it. Food: was very well presented and tasted really good, the skewers were pretty awesome, it was all in the sauce that made that dish however the meat was slightly a bit too tough. I am so glad I ordered two dishes because the taco's were tiny and for $150 I was expecting more than 4 bites.  The taco's though tasted delicious and were nice and juicy, just I guess I should maybe treat everything on the menu like Tapas.Drinks: They have a deal at the moment where after you buy your 2nd, 3rd, 4th beer the price gets cheaper, so between the three of us we ordered 6 and were expecting the cheaper price, but apparently this only applies to individuals and not as a table (no mention on the collateral or at ordering time). We originally tried ordering bloody mary's but apparently the bartender was off at lunch and the poor girl serving didnt know how to make them. Bartender only came back around 2pm. Not the best kind of service when your bartender is away during lunch hour. We were ready to order quite a few more drinks but was just too difficult to get peoples attention. All in all I was fairly let down by this place, but I would like to come back again and let them redeem themselves. I am sure usually when they are in peak periods or at night they are usually pretty good and decent, but during downtime it seems to all fall apart. …Read More

Nostalgic
Chili Club
2020-10-23
There's something always nostalgic about this place, we used to come so much when I was younger and the place used to be heaving all the time. Sad to see it lying empty every time I go back now. It's definitely under appreciated, a small hidden gem in Wan Chai with so much potential. Has such a nice spot on Lockhart road with great windows for people watching. The food is still pretty good, but now seems no different to a lot of Thai places, you can get these tastes in almost any Thai restaurant in any corner of HK, not making it that special anymore. Satay meat were a bit tough, but the Phad Thai and morning glory we had were still full of good flavours. Papaya salad was a bit small and not that spicy, but still nice. Will still go back for the nostalgia…Read More

Had all the ingredients and makings of a good meal
Pier Bar & Restaurant
2020-10-22
I am a person that LOVESS cream, but even this I found overly doused in cream. It tasted quite nice, even for takeway, but I felt like it was just the extra flavours and seasoning. The egg on top was a nice touch and the bacon bits were good, but perhaps just a little too much cream. They give you a nice 10% discount for takeaway, but I think it should be more for that quality. Would still want to try and come back for dine in.…Read More

Café de Coral (Queen's Road West)
2020-10-22
This shop has recently gone under renovation and its much nicer now with self service kiosks which really help with Non Chinese speakers. The quality of the food is still pretty good for fast food Chinese style. Tastes like authentic Cantonese food. The soup was the main star as it is a huge winter melon and it is all quite affordable, i think under $60.  Comes with a full portion of rice or you can choose to decrease the rice size but no change to cost.…Read More

Your taste of Viet in HK
King Prawn Restaurant
2020-10-22
Spring rolls were cooked so nicely and were still boiling hot throughout the meal. Would have liked a few more veggies in the bowl. But all in all was very full by the end of it. Good fish sauce to add to it. Local style cha chaan teng but for Vietnamese food. Cheap and quick, I always do takeaway here for dinner. Worth a visit for authentic vietnamese food…Read More

A little slice of Mexican excellence
Te Quiero Mucho
2020-10-22
Came here for dinner and have been a few times for lunch. Staff are great and friendly. The balcony is so much fun, albeit above a main road its still a really chill area and good for people watching. Nacho's were pretty tasty, nice chips, really felt homemade and non dorito's which made all the difference. Found it a bit pricey for veggie nachos. The Taco's are great, tonnes of flavour that hits your mouth and creates a journey, some subtle hints in there. They are overflowing so you gotta be prepared for a messy meal which is all the fun. So many different and unique selections and combinations to try. But even with 2 taco's each and shared nacho's I didn't feel too full by the end of it. Might have sprung for one more taco, but that would push things on the pricey range.…Read More
