Food standard dropped by A LOT. Cheong fun (rice rolls) and 腐皮蝦卷were lukewarm. Dried mushroom in the siu mai were surely marinated with sugar. Beef balls were all flour. Nice smokey flavour from bread to dessert. Just nice, not over/ burnt. I had Duck confit rice which they recommended, the romba rice was cooked with Morchella 羊肚菌. Crispy duck skin and tender meat. Cant imagine how ice cream can be smoked, think it’s from the smokey ‘chips’ served with the ice cream. Would be quite happy with the lunch except they charge hkd18 per head for water (not bottle water). Senti 位於雲咸街的其中一棟商業大廈內（差點錯過了入口）。經LKF Tower 上雲咸街十分方便。窗外是大館，有啲放假feel。Lunch set 有不少選擇。 要海鮮酥皮濃湯定法國鵪鶉salad做前菜有啲難決定 。 最後了揀湯，下次想試鵪鶉salad，因為未見識過。 朋友點了parma ham with melon。嘩，我嘅「湯」似crab cake/meat salad 上面加酥皮伴以海鮮汁，賣相很IG-able ~主菜要咗澳洲燒羊架和梅子醬豬排。 待應俾hot plates我哋 share main dish ，仲提醒我哋小心碟嘅溫度，非常細心。 羊架不太肥，剛剛好。 豬排同羊架睇落好似樣，但味道幾唔同，因為醬汁主要是酸（但不太酸）和甜。朋友生日所以加HKD 48 要埋甜品Tiramisu。 Delightful! Coming to Amber for its Full Amber Experience (dinner), unprepared - without reading openrice. And indeed it is full Amber experience including the service. Once seated in a far corner in Amber as we preferred a quiet dinner, a lady was talking loudly from at least 8m away - centre of the restaurant (and it was a full house that evening). Every single word can be heard throughout the whole night. We spoke to the manager twice and were ignored. Can’t believe there is no training for dealing with difficult VIPs or complaints that can’t be resolved... in Amber, a restaurant housed in MO. Call me sour grapes, right after first complaint, the lady was offered free truffle (supposed with an add-on charge) on one of the dishes, obviously with a loud “Oh- I *thought* we ordered the option without truffle...” I now recall this terrible experience every time I see truffle.To be fair, food is above average and would love to revisit. A lot of thoughts has been given to the dishes, from taste to appearance. Caviar with sea urchin is well worth as their signature dish! First time tried oyster leaves and they taste exactly like oyster!! However we were disappointed with their sourdough (also another surprise that it can go wrong in a French restaurant!). Service is consistent with other openrice comments - irregular table mat that makes staff’s life difficult, cutlery kept falling onto the table and they simply gave up and put wherever (on my left, at an angle... just random).
