Overhyped and disappointing — nowhere near Micheli
Lady Nara
2025-10-17
We came for dinner last Friday evening, a party of three. The restaurant was only half full, and we were seated by the window overlooking the harbor. Unfortunately, the air conditioning was absolutely blasting — it felt like dining inside a cold storage. When we asked to move to another table (many were empty), the waiter refused, claiming they were “reserved,” though no sign was placed on them. We then asked for a blanket — of course, the answer was no.The food was mediocre at best. Even basic dishes like the chicken green curry arrived cold. Another dish that required a candle to keep it warm was served unlit; when we pointed it out, the waiter looked confused and took ten minutes to find a lighter. Several items seemed pre-made rather than freshly cooked. Don’t be misled by their “Michelin-recommended” label — perhaps the original branch in Bangkok deserved that, but this Harbor City location certainly does not. With its high prices and poor execution, it feels more like a scam than fine dining. The service was equally disheartening. During our 90-minute meal, not one staff member smiled or checked on any table. Everyone looked utterly miserable and disengaged. There was zero sense of hospitality — you’d receive more warmth and care at McDonald’s or Starbucks.Lady Nara at Harbor City definitely needs an overhaul at the management, otherwise I don't see it surviving another year at the Harbor City under the current market dynamics.“Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.”Definitely won’t return.…Read More
