Pleasant surprise at Airside - probably the best Thai food in the area, haven't stepped into a good new restaurant in a very long while... Fried pork chop in fish sauce is a must try, you won't regret it. We had the pork boat noodles, will probably try the beef version next time too. Thai iced tea was also very tasty - of the right richness and sweetness. Their signature noodles with green curry also very interesting, although we would have preferred the noodles itself to be hotter, so more matching with the hot green curry sauce (probably). Green curry sauce itself was excellent though. Booked a table for 4 persons on Sunday dinner at 6pm. 1st friend arrived at 6pm, and in less than 15 minutes, this particular waiter had already told her 2-3 times that the table needed returning by 7:45pm. We ordered 3 dishes amongst the 4 of us - Mussels in French sauce, Asparagus with 65 degrees egg and Seafood paella. Mussels dish was so ordinary that we wondered why they call themselves "The Mussels". The remaining dishes weren't even worth commenting. By 7:05pm, the same waiter told us that we ordered too little and again repeated - the table needed returning by 7:45pm. By that time, I couldn't help but retort that "yes we are well aware as it's the fourth time you have told us" and lucky for us, he never returned to our table since. We considered ordering more, but this waiter had already spoiled things for us. Honestly, if the food doesn't taste good, at least you would hope the dining experience is pleasant, but unfortunately you won't be getting that here. Bought pasta lunch set for takeaway, cashier said it'll be ready in 10 min. Requested to grab the coffee first, only to get the almost roll eye response from the cashier. Returned after 10 min to ask for the takeaway, again treated like I just asked the stupidest question. After another 5min, I requested for refund as the pasta was clearly nowhere in sight and I didn't bother to chase again, to avoid being mistreated for the third time during the short visit. Don't be intimated by its name and dark, bike decor - it's a little hidden gem easily missed with real legitimate tasty burgers and hot dogs.Burger patty was very juicy and their special sauce complemented the fresh burger bun very well. Chilli hot dog was served with a top layer of crispy onion, which added a twist to its texture. Being a celebrity restaurant, I had walked in without much expectations.However, I was truly astonished by its beautiful antique decor, delightful performance and (honestly) surprisingly tasty food.Highlight of the dinner would have to be the performance of the night and be sure not to miss it. The duo was funny, high spirit and managed to entertain everyone in the room. It reminded me of being overseas and enjoying a theater show dinner, it's nice to have this feeling during this Covid period.Besides, the decor is meticulously beautiful. You will notice that lots of attention has been put into details and I'm sure that you will feel all the 心血 (great efforts?) that has been invested into this restaurant. Visited at noon time when there was approx. 10 customers in the cafe (which is very little compared to the previous two times I was there), yet the cashier was unfriendly and unhelpful when I purchased a cup of coffee to go.Upon paying, the cashier offered me a stamp card, but instead I indicated that I would like to use the digital loyalty program. She ignored me without blinking an eye and went on to serve the following customer (note that there was no one else in line after the 2 of us). When I waited till she was done to ask for more details, the cashier had simply turned away. There was another wait staff nearby whom I approached afterwards but he too seemed rather clueless about this digital loyalty system. I left quickly after getting my takeaway coffee, considering whether I should have insisted on my digital stamp for that particular cup of coffee, but decided it's not worth my time and tolerance for the service.Backtracking onto another earlier episode at Lee Garden Three branch, I then had also asked about the digital loyalty system. Again similarly, the staff was clueless about its operations. Perhaps my Google wallet was not ready hence the setup was a little more complicated than it should have been, however I would also had appreciated a little more patience and knowledge from the storefront staff. I do feel that it's a great initiative to go paper less and replace those traditional stamp cards and it will be a shame for those shunned away like this. Finally, it was a little worse experience this time with the cashier service and hopefully this will be a one off chance. Dinner was relatively expensive at approx. HKD1,500 per person given no introduction nor explanation at how the dish item was prepared or where the ingredients were from (when we asked for more information regarding the food served). Instead, we were answered with "it's fish" and "it's abalone" for example, which was clearly evident...Service was average with no spectacular elements, would not recommend visiting at dinner time.
