After we were seated, we were greeted by 2 servers but no one introduced themselves after leaving the menus. After spending 10+ minutes reviewing the menu no one came to the table. We eventually tracked someone down, Dixta (not sure of her spelling) and she finally explained the menu after approximately 15 minutes. After consulting her, she recommended a few starters which we enjoyed (tuna tartare and zucchini spaghetti), but her recommendation for the entrée was a disaster – Bistecca Etrusca. The meat was overwhelmingly fatty and, worse yet, the meat was strewn with a tendon throughout the cut. We barely ate half of the 1.2kg steak, and we eventually spoke with Raj and he conceded that this cut was exceedingly fattier than usual. He also highlighted this cut (Bistecca – shoulder) is normally tough, chewy, and fatty: 100% not what we would order if educated properly. If we beforehand, we would not have wasted our money on this entrée. We boxed the remaining and brought it home and fed it to our dog. She enjoyed the Bistecca to much of our chagrin and irritation. I would rate the food 2.5/5.0 and unfortunately the service wasn’t much better. I would rate the service 2.0/5.0 but will raise it to 2.5/5.0 as Dixta was helpful to suggest an area to watch the fireworks and volunteered to take photos for us. Raj tried to salvage the evening by topping off our glasses of Moscato D’asti and comp’d the dessert. He or someone in Management should have either removed the cost of the Bistecca or reduced it by 50% (the portion we ate) as a profession courtesy, but we were charged in full.…Read More
