朋友仔升職,好消息當然要搵個好地方賀一賀佢啦。我見朋友仔平時好似好鍾意食火鍋,於是便決定搞搞新意思,同佢去食芝士火鍋。香港比較著名的Fondue,唔計一年限定一次的意粉屋,便一定是瑞士餐廳和半島的Chesa。瑞士餐廳我以前試過,酒味重,加上有半島AE card,所以便決定到Chesa一嘗candle night dinner。原本早在兩星期前就打電話預約九月的檔期,但可能中秋關係,只可以留waiting list 和book定10月首星期。最後waiting list 當然沒有成功,但要一讚的是訂位哥哥回電告知waiting list未能安排座位,很有交帶。到了當日dinner,我們懷昔著期待的心情於7:00pm準時到達,侍應很快安排我們入坐旁邊的位置。餐廳環觀四周不算寬敞,比較昏暗,只有十多張桌子左右, 裝修精緻,給人濃厚的瑞士屋子溫暖感覺。侍應奉上menu後,簡單介紹一下招牌菜,然後讓我們慢慢商量點菜,也沒有打擾和催促。點菜後,侍應很快奉上麵包籃,主要有三款麵包,其中兩種是用小麥製的。當中以滲上了海鹽的小圓甜麥包較為特別,咬下去有嚼頭,美中不足的是麵包沒有熱烘,牛油較硬,未能令牛油在麵包上輕易溶化。前菜點了侍應推薦的Crêpe au crabe, cappuccino à l’homardine et Armagnac (Crab meat pancake with lobster-Armagnac cappuccino)。淡黃色的蟹肉班戟份量較細,像一條腸粉,但貴精不貴多,斑戟皮極薄,和配上的lobster sauce capuccino渾成一體,質感creamy,帶著濃濃的龍蝦湯汁味道;鮮拆蟹肉一絲絲的塞滿於整條斑戟內,味鮮且幼滑,不禁令人再三回味。是晚主角當然是芝士火鍋,我們選了加入燻香煙肉的芝士鍋底 Fondue Montagnarde (Emmentaler, Appenzeller and Gruyère finished with Sprinz and smoked mountain bacon, served with macaroni and boiled potatoes),火鍋配法包粒之外仲會多一碟新薯同長通粉。在侍應提醒下,我們減小了酒的份量,加入了Emmentaler, Appenzeller和Gruyère三種傳統的乳酪乾煮溶,撲鼻而來的一股香噴噴的濃郁芝香帶有少少酒味,而煙肉同芝士既味道非常配合,細味之下,口腔內會迴旋著鹹香稠密的芝士煙肉香。芝士沾上飽肚的麵包粒,暖肚又溫飽,成為經典不能或缺的美味配搭;長通粉中間仲可以沾上芝士,亦是另一種層次。芝士火鍋過後,另一主菜上場,我們選了spare rib,肉質嫩滑,夠軟、夠肉味,配菜的煎面包,入口煙煙韌韌,出奇地非常配合口味。甜品是之前電話預定的朱古力小屋,朱古力小屋很精緻,令人唔捨得拆開佢,屋上可寫上祝福字,小屋內有vanilla雪糕及棉花糖,朱古力有濃濃的黑朱古力味,和vanilla雪糕非常配合!最後以餐廳贈送的petits four甜點作結尾。其中以lemon jelly with hazelnut最出色,外層是微脆的樁子朱古力,一咬入口有酸酸的檸檬液態啫喱,很是醒胃;中間的方型朱古力充滿朱古力mouse夠軟滑;Ginger cake則最為普通。總括餐廳服務貼心,食物精緻,絕對會重臨!…Read More

和朋友飯敘,因為AE card優惠的關係,建議到北京樓晚餐,是夜一行四人點了一隻北京填鴨,一客素卷,雞絲粉皮及醉雞,以及加了數十元把鴨背製成生菜飽。北京填鴨,鴨是即燒,皮香脆;但鴨的肉是非常瘦及乾,整體味道一般。炒鴨崧生菜包 ,剩下的鴨肉加了數十元製成生菜飽,混了冬菇粒,甘荀粒,松子仁及唐芹炒,比填鴨還好吃。素卷少油少鹽,菜粒幼細,不錯。雞絲粉皮,加入麻醬及青瓜,尚可。老實說,所有菜式除了素卷外,和同級餐廳如紫玉蘭相比,只算是一般,如不是有折扣優惠,應有更佳選擇。…Read More

襯著公眾假期和朋友仔到大佛行過大運,順道享用齋堂素食。由於十一黃金週的關係,往佛寺的交通非常繁忙,到逹佛寺已經接近三時,立刻在登記處買了齋票,齋票有普通及尊貴兩種,朋友說老遠來到就試試尊貴的套餐吧!來到齋堂,由於下午關係,可立刻入座。服務員首先奉上齋翅,湯質地較杰,不過味道不錯。然後是四個齋菜,分別是檸檬雞,素春卷,冬菇生菜及四季豆炒粒粒,其中以檸檬雞最為出色,蔬菜都很不錯,整體質素中上,當然以$110一位的價錢不算便宜,但當作添香油及禮佛,則屬合理,偶爾茹素,也是樂事!…Read More

好友說,自從嘗試過Crabtree的high tea後便好像沒有了新的High Tea目標。這天大家一起放假我便提議試試Comment不錯的Harlan's。Harlan's 位於The One 19樓,景色十分開揚,座擁維港景色,餐廳環境舒服自在,第一感覺良好。我們二人, 叫了一個high tea set for two $238, 每個set包兩杯飲唔﹐我們order了Earl Grey Tea。層架送上,上下三次,一、二層以甜點為主,最下一層主要是三文治類。三文治類最好好味係Mini porcini mushroom,Mushroom下面係脆脆嘅flatbread,salmon都好滑,另外蛋包就比較普通。甜點有Double Chocolate Cake, Cranberry Scone X 1, Plain Scone X1, Strawberry Cheese Cake, Double chocolate cake最好味,好香濃嘅黑朱古力味,cheese cake都有好濃嘅cheese味,唔錯唔錯。Scone分別有兩款醬:Clotted cream, Raspberry jam,Scone`本身不過不失,有點硬,最好味係clotted cream,好滑,而Raspberry jam好多果肉,好fresh!最上層的marcroon係花生味,很香濃,chocolate有濃濃的酒香,不錯。以這個價錢加上這個景致,絕對是值回票價!…Read More

記得一年前,朋友偶然間在openrice得知Crabtree & Evelyn在灣仔新鴻基中心開了一間英式茶室,附設High Tea服務,見到餐具非常精緻,已打算一試。可惜不是因為訂不到位,就是同朋友夾不到時間,結果一年以來,都未有機會試過這個High tea。一年後的今天,大家約好了時間,並在一個月前book定位,終於可一嘗心願了。進入店內,一共有四張四人枱,裝修充滿英倫風味,室外有一個鳥籠,如果天氣清涼一點,坐在室外High Tea應該另有一番風味。我們點了一個二人英式下午茶餐,一套Tea Set加兩杯飲品,我們分別點了玫瑰花茶和薄荷茶。餐具送上,洋溢著濃厚的英倫風味,微細至餐巾紙也印滿了典型的粉紅色英倫玫瑰圖案,而每位喝花茶的朋友都會得到Crabtree and Evelyn的蜜糖一瓶,跟清香的花茶一起喝,別有一番味道。玫瑰花茶味淡,就算不加蜜糖一起,味道都不會太濃烈;薄荷茶味道較為濃烈,加上蜜糖中和味道較為易入口。主角High Tea Set上場,三層設計,最上層是四個Scone,中層是甜點,包括兩件Fruit Tart、兩件Strawberry Tart和四粒朱古力,而最下層則是咸點,包括兩件三文治和四件不同款式的酥皮卷,單看樣子也挺吸引的。論味道來說,第一層的SCONE真的很一般,外層很硬,配上牛油和士多啤利果醬和香橙果醬來吃,特別向大家推介香橙果醬,很清新!第二層的甜點水準很不錯,士多啤利撻和鮮果撻水準很好,撻皮雖然不太夠脆,但水果新鮮,配合得不錯,那幾粒朱古力特別喜歡黑朱古力那一粒,裡面充滿濃濃的朱古力,喜歡吃朱古力的人一定要試試。下層的咸點反而做到很不錯,三文治的配料雖然不算特別,但配搭起來吃感覺很清新,口感不錯。四款酥皮卷水準亦不賴,外層酥皮的牛油味很香濃,餡料味道亦算不錯,配合起來感覺好好,其SIZE弄得較小,能一口吃一個,吃起來也沒有那麼膩。我們在如此優雅的環境過了一個悠閒的下午,輕鬆寫意。最後,會附送一支小handcream,而花蜜用唔完都可以帶走。…Read More

近年來大角咀的飲食業一日千里,唔小人長途跋涉去尋找美食,其中以金船長更為表表者,黑松露比薩和牛肉漢堡早已闖出名堂,看其長期高據openrice便可知一二。好友在大角咀居住,是日提議嘗試一下金船長以外的食店,意外地找到了在街角的Smart Pepperoni Pizza!Lunch time時間到達,有大約六種Lunch Set, Lunch Set $48-68, 有湯/Salad, Main Course, Desert, Drink, 揀了鮮三文魚天使麵,朋友見到隔離的珍寶漢堡,又點了一個!香橙沙律好fresh,鮮三文魚天使麵有忌簾汁,個汁好香濃,三文魚碎碎份量多,芝士味重,而且又唔會太稀,質素唔錯!珍寶漢堡來到,真係有個頭咁大! 我們要求7成熟,漢堡扒有嚼勁不鬆散,但未如理想中juicy,牛肉味不夠濃郁。包鬆軟,表面脆。夾附的蕃茄,酸甜、清爽與漢堡扒配合得宜。伴碟的粗薯條外脆而內裡保存恰當水份,沒撤鹽調味,我很喜歡此做法,食客可以自己調較! $58絕對超值!環境方面﹐地方乾淨﹐以藍色為主,加上輕音樂,有淡淡的外地feel,不錯,一定會再來!…Read More

試完麵尊的香港車仔麵,今日決定食下澳門車仔麵,於是走咗筷子記。筷子記賣的不是筷子,店名沿自澳門「筷子箕」的這個地方。他們賣的主要是地道的澳門麵食、豬扒包、辣魚包之類的小吃,店子小小的,座位數張檯椅一眼看齊了,Lunch$32自選三送一麵+飲品。基本嘅粗麵、幼麵、油麵、米粉、米線通通有齊,可湯底/可乾撈,可揀咖喱汁,洋蔥汁,沙茶醬,看了牆上的剪報推介再自己胡亂拼湊;從點餐紙上自行剔選,青春魚肉腐皮卷、瑞士雞翼、包心卷。青春魚肉腐皮卷經油炸,但如何青春?則不太明白;瑞士雞翼是雪藏品,不過那個瑞士汁倒是有點特色,混了點甜醋,甚有住家風味;包心卷似魚蛋,一般質素,窮人洋蔥汁其甜度較高,很好送麵,乾撈油麵,油麵的質感有點像意大利扁麵,彈牙有鹼水味,也挺特別。咁多樣當中,最好的係羅漢果茶,這店賣的真材實料,沒加多餘的糖,天然的微甜後回甘。畢竟澳門地道美食香港還是難尋,下次會再來。…Read More

講起本土Dining culture,多會數出茶餐廳,雞蛋仔等,而其中一種美食,就是車仔麵了突然好想車仔麵,於是走咗去麵尊。這小小店子decoration 普通,數張檯椅一眼看齊了,$28自選三送一麵+Cola麵嘅種類多,基本嘅粗麵、幼麵、油麵、米粉通通有齊,湯底除咗清湯外,亦可揀加咖喱汁,沙嗲汁或腩汁,我就覺得加腩汁最惹味,唔夠辣可用放嚮檯頭自家製嘅辣椒油。餸方面我哋叫咗蘿蔔,炆冬菰,魷魚,芝士腸,豬皮,雞翼,牛腩+油麵,得出嘅結論係… 要知道嗰間車仔麵嘅真功夫,就要食佢哋自己煮嘅餸,唔好食魚蛋芝士腸呢D交貨嚟嘅野。油麵麵質屬average 質素,不算很有咬口但不會too soft 。咁多樣當中,最好味係蘿蔔,蘿蔔用料不錯,軟腍,清甜無渣兼入味,炆冬菰又係超入味,牛腩份量不多,卻同樣sourcing 不差,以瘦多肥少的部位,texture 算腍,也挺入味!以往比較少吃車仔麵,因為食物很多時用上工廠來貨,質素很一般,賣相也很大雜燴模式,亂堆一起,最大賣點就是價錢平。新一代的車仔麵檔, 雖然pricing 較高,但在食材、賣相 等會較為講究,呢度都係不錯的選擇!…Read More

是日晚餐,再訪金船長,點了以下食物:金船長漢堡:金船長的名菜,牛肉又可揀幾成熟,我們選了7成熟。牛肉個邊邊好脆但係入面真係好juicy,個cheese 唔係太strong,不過作為burger 用既cheese,恰到好處! Chips新鮮煮,非常之香脆,亦都有薯味,Yummy!!海鮮Risotto:吃到Risotto應有的口感,質感creamy之外,飯粒有咬口,唔錯!朱古力心太軟:雪糕同朱古力既比例幾好,把spoon一下開,朱古力漿會溢出來,不過如果個皮可以脆d就好了!!服務很好,跟單和進度照顧得很周到,有禮貌,可能去的那天人流不多,收碟的速度是比較快,不過我覺得可以接受,唯一係桌子之間太近,坐得較迫!但值得encore!…Read More

相信不少人小時候都有和家人到老式茶樓如蓮香樓之類的經驗,而當時不少人都必定滿心不願意,心想:「點解唔去McDonDon wor?」反而人大了卻開始對傳統文化產生興趣,開始懂得欣賞一些以前不懂欣賞的事,人的口味的確會隨時間而有所轉變。這天下午,我們嘗試到蓮香居去尋找一份逝去的情懷......老實說,蓮香居的設計是刻意仿古,有些人會覺得有點兒做作,但既然我們是專誠到來尋找往時風味,是否刻意,又管他呢?蓮香居和蓮香樓一樣,在地下闢了一個地方放著一些中式餅點,供客人購買些回家享用。茶樓有兩層,龍紋窗框、雀籠、推著點心車穿梭於酒樓的每個角落的阿姐們,有著濃烈的六七十年代氣氛。說回食物,整體點心仍有水準:蓮蓉飽果然沒有令人失望,包皮軟熟,蓮蓉不太甜,有香味,雖然我不喜包食,但仍覺得有質素! 燒賣的味道不錯,有鮮味,肥肉不算太多,比例尚算適當。菠蘿叉燒飽,組合很是有趣,菠蘿皮香脆,半肥叉燒,蓮香居的飽點應該是有一手! 冬菇雞,烹調過的雞鮮和入味,魚肚厚大味豐,但略為油多一點。價錢相宜,水滾茶香,點心精緻,這個下午,我想我開始有點明白長輩們的口味,是時候想想下次該幾時再光顧。…Read More
