同屋企食團年飯,試下呢間未食過嘅餐廳。 去之前睇到呢度啲食評有啲擔心,尤其係本人本身好着重服務同衛生 - 但今次試過又覺得唔錯。尤其係服務有驚喜,侍應傳菜同我地有傾有講,都幾親切殷勤。當我哋食翅要求攞醋嘅時候,佢哋都即時去攞,亦有叫我哋食得開心啲。 我哋影大合照嘅時候,職員仲主動埋嚟幫忙我哋影相添。食物份量足夠,味道都唔錯,鹽燒鮑魚尤其好食,乳豬都好脆好香口, 其他嘢全部都正正常常,總括嚟講食得幾開心!覺得間餐廳有努力,下次會再嚟 😁…Read More

Discovered this local Hong Kong cha chaan teng when scrolled through the food app. Menu is reasonably priced and the restaurant offers quite a variety of options to choose from.  Third party delivery boosted my incentives for a first attempt without the need of a physical visit.As a group of three, we ordered four unique dishes to share, each came with a drink of our choice - the curry fish brisket was supposed to be fish brisket in taiwanese minced pork sauce as ordered, yet it came mistakenly, and we ended up having two curry dishes. Bearing in mind that the restaurant is a small and local one, we did not request for an exchange.With a variety of chicken to choose from - we picked sand ginger way of cooking as we fancy strong and salty flavours. Chicken was properly presented, and the sauce was decently prepared. Came with rice noodles underneath the chicken in a separate container.This lo mein came with topping of their signature shrimp rolls. The noodles are Korean Shin Ramyun which have the usual promising texture. Coupled with scallion oil and fried garlic, we finished the dish with food guilt.Curry pork chop rice is one of Hong Kong famous local dishes. Albeit an ordinary choice, portion of pork chop was quite fair considering its price, and the curry was well cooked. Vegetable sides are quite generous.And so, this, supposedly, was the fish brisket in "taiwanese minced pork" sauce. Apparently the order was mistaken but we let go of it given its scale of business, and that we didn't want the food to go wasted. After all, it was still a decent dish with quite generous curry that we could undoubtedly consume all rice with that. As a meat lover, it would have been even more satisfying had the serving of fish been more plentiful. Having said that, the staples warrant us a full stomach.   All in all, the delivery experience was good especially bearing in mind its price factor. 來到九龍灣,想搵下啲新鮮感,除咗去megabox、德福廣場之外,就嚟咗呢間皇御苑試下。 位置唔算特別方便,但係勝在有停車場,揸車去就冇問題。酒樓樓面面積唔算大,但勝在樓底高,空間感算唔錯。 冷氣夠凍但係風口直吹住頭頂,問過職員可唔可以熄細少少,但佢哋話冇得校。開咗壺茶,我哋叫咗三碟菜。本來想叫多兩碟,但係佢哋都話賣曬。整體不過不失,但應該只會幫襯一次 — 酒店價錢,但食物水準、份量一般。職員服務參差,有個短髮阿姐幾專業,但係有個講普通話口音嘅就好麻麻,比起普通街邊酒樓要差一啲,難免扣分。…Read More

Had passed by this steakhouse for times but never had a chance to visit. Picked this for a casual catch up with a friend. Interior and table distancing were satisfactory - with some American vibes indeed. Honestly it was a bit worrying as reviews on Openrice were mixed - particularly re quality of steak and services, which are crucial to my personal criteria of picking the right restaurant to go for. Nevertheless, might as well give it a try as a keen meat lover, coupled with its convenient location next to the office. Upon entry, reception was courteous with prompt assistance offered, stored my umbrella and handed me a chip (to redeem the umbrella). We were seated at a normal table for two. Ordered two central lunch courses and decided to try out their famous Dry-Aged Porterhouse Steak as there's little point ordering a pasta or sandwich at a steakhouse that by its name is famous for its steak. Simple bread was served, warm and soft - the bun tasted better than it looked, with a decent flavour of onion. Followed by the salad of my choice, with grilled shrimp and bacon - bearing in mind the bacon isn't the Hong Kong type of bacon but a reasonably thick cut, which I appreciated. As a cheese lover, blue cheese was amazing.The crab cake was fine - won't say it's not good but there are many other restaurants outside serving a similar one at a lower price. Perhaps some embellishments would do the trick?Here it came the highlight of the meal - Dry-Aged Porterhouse Steak (400 gram) for two. Slight concern over the portion (as a meat lover) before it came but was proven redundant after the meal. Plater was sizzling when served - waiter gave a helpful introduction of the parts, also asked if we were okay with its temperature (we ordered medium rare; was served medium rare to medium, which we were happy with it). There were reviews commenting on the bad temperature but perhaps I was lucky on my visit.Dessert concludes the meal - good to have but not astonishing. Most certainly would taste better if served colder, particularly after we just had a lot of meat.Perhaps another decent venue to add to my list for special occasions, not too much for everyday casual dining though.…Read More

American Seafood & Grill is a western restaurant that is rarely seen in City One. Comparing to other restaurants now and over the decades, the restaurant is seemingly a relatively pricey one for dinner. Its menus have been adjusted in terms of price and food for tea, and subsequently lunch and breakfast.The restaurant is decently decorated. The food quality is generally secured. As a matter of "you gain what you pay for", the restaurant is capable of being considered as a satisfactory choice, taking into account price, quality and serving portion of food.Breakfast sets were ordered. Depending on your appetite, there are reasonably sufficient options on the menu, though they are different combinations of basically the same ingredients, including, but not limited to, different kinds of noodles and meat such as pork chop, think steak, chicken fillet and omelette. The temperature of food was moderate, waiting time was acceptable, appearance was average, taste was normal given that mostly processed food was ordered which could not possibly depart too much from expectation. By and large, a 3.5/5 is awarded for the food relative to the price.However, one must realize that service has become an integral part of a restaurant and this has accounted for a lower rating of my review.A middle-aged man in shirt, which was presumed to be the owner of the restaurant, had failed to prove to me necessary honesty and good courtesy. He refused without explanation to cater our request  on the picking of the preferred table which was left empty at that moment. He further added that the table would not be big enough to accommodate a group of 8, while it could apparently accommodate up to 10 people as observed by naked eyes. It was not until a fourth request of the preferred table did he switch for us with great reluctance and bad temper. His attitude was deficient and the words he gave were repugnant where he scolded us for making such a request and asserted that no one would ever want that table, meanwhile questioning our choice in a bad manner (原: 從來都無人想坐個張檯,都唔知你哋做乜!). He threw a tantrum without admitting his misrepresentation as to the capacity of the table.  An 2/5 is awarded for the service relative to the price. It is remarked that a rating of 1/5 is reserved for worse cases where my visit to this restaurant is not one that falls into this category.…Read More

今日喺嚴冬中覓食,眼見周圍食肆都無乜新鮮感,就諗住試下新裝修完嘅韓食一番地 (天)。我哋一行二人喺餐廳出面睇到D野食相都幾吸引,價錢偏貴但仍算合理,於是咪諗住入去。見到門口無服務員,我哋就行入去問個阿姐:「唔該,有無兩位?」點知個阿姐一聽到就面有不悅,一手推咗我哋兩個出去,用無禮同唔耐煩嘅語氣,話:「要入嚟就出番去攞飛先啦! 好唔好───?!!!」嘩,我心諗:「呢間嘢乜做到咁高檔,連客都一手推出去,仲要咁有氣焰...」唔理點都好,無理由因為依D唔高興嘅事影響自己心情架,於是等咗無耐就入咗去。入到去,叫咗兩個set,都係石鍋嚟嘅。點知個鍋黎到,裡面D飯雖然聞到d韓國味,但係食落呢,就大失所望。D飯一來食落又無聞到嘅咁好味,而且問侍應攞野又唔睬人,睬個陣又粗聲粗氣,好似鬼唔望個客食完唔好再番黎咁。於是都唔知食咗D乜,最飽係一肚氣,埋單個陣真係唔想俾錢。其實,價錢又豈會係一個問題,食物質素仲係其次,最重要嘅都係服務。即使味道有錯,或能改之; 服務差劣,而不求進步,有錯不改而不能善莫大焉,實在是有違飲食界的生存之道。今時今日嘅服務態度,唉... 哀哉。…Read More

見呢間餐廳開左咁耐,就去試下佢ge晚餐。一入去,就“歡迎光臨…歡迎光臨…”,仲有個好有禮貌ge男員工(好似係trainee) 鞠左個差唔多90度ge躬,首次印象服務態度良好。我地一行三人,坐六人卡位。雖然六人坐可能有d逼,但係三人坐就寬敞舒適。環望店內,發現比外面看來的大,而桌與桌之間所留ge空位亦不太小,氣氛輕鬆舒適。閱讀餐牌,其價錢走中偏平民路線,三十幾至八十幾不等。於是我地叫左個廚師推介二人餐,加多少少餸。 餸菜碟頭不錯,味道比出面同價錢的好。雖然碟炒菜油較多而鑊氣稍欠奉,味道方面確實不錯。二人餐三餸兩湯兩飯+甜品,抵食:)。最欣賞的是員工服務佳,當中尤以店內惟一的男服務員最為深刻 - 雙手遞餐牌、鞠躬的歡迎,配以請問、多謝的字句,在無形間加了不少分。以客為尊的食肆總是最值得支持。:)…Read More

依間野不嬲都出咗名服務差,如果唔係價錢平少少,都唔去食。今日去到,坐低食嘢,見到換咗D服務員,又無咁多呼呼喝喝聲,以為佢地已經收斂咗。點知都係死性不改,罵人成性,直頭當客人無到!!!:(今日唔係咁想食飯,咪叫左碗手撕雞米線。份量不過不失,半碗米線,加ok多雞絲,廿幾蚊都算味道唔錯。食物黎左,無餐具,問服務員拎,語氣比前幾個月收斂。個陣我仲同班朋友講,下次再黎食都得窩。點知最後埋單就出事!我地知繁忙時間,咪走去收銀埋單。由於無碎紙,我地逐個俾錢。估唔到收銀個阿伯,見到我地逐個俾,就鬧仲咩唔自己預備定碎紙,鬧我地阻住佢做生意。跟住就鬧話一人仲咩食廿幾蚊野咁少,咩態度! 佢跟住死死地氣收錢,又計極都計唔到26+30係幾多...... 望到後面有人排隊俾錢,又大大聲鬧:“都係你地,又唔預備碎紙,搞到後面要排隊等你。無碎紙就同人兌左先出黎埋單,都唔知你有無讀過書。” 聽完依句,佛都有火。不過礙於以大局為重,費事同佢嘈,無謂搞到後面d人等再耐d。但係就食到成肚氣!今時今日d服務態度真係差… …Read More
