Way too sweet
% Arabica (The Pulse)

Taste is Not up to the standards, same as service; syrup all stuck at the bottom- way too sweet; The place is with killer view facing towards the Bay, not crowded even during weekend; staffs are a bit cold, in general, recommend ones downstairs instead …Read More

Yogurt Garden
2011-05-18
Went to this froyo shop a few days ago with another friend. Have some thoughts and suggestions that would like to share with people:1, overall impression - the shop needs some improvement on decor. They don't have an official menu and all the prices are listed in an ad hoc handwritten poster. A lot of things are taped to the wall. I also don't really like their wallpaper - got a bunch of lavender even though they don't sell anything related to it. Also all the yogurt machines are inside the store rather than outside, which at first make me confused - I thought they were selling candies. Also, even though the shop itself looks really clean and neat, it is next to some really local canteen restaurants and therefore makes it look really down-to-earth. 2, frozen yogurt - the yogurt tastes good, actually better than most of the ones I tasted. The store owner said they imported their stuff from the US and used real yogurt to produce it. I appreciated that very much. I chose 4 flavors - blueberry, mango, original and passion fruit. The texture was soft and silky. The taste was milky but not too sweet, and it melted smoothly in my mouth. For toppings I tried their home-made mochi, chocolate balls, caramel and fresh strawberries. The mochi tasted especially good since it's more chewy and not as sweet as the ones sold in candy shops. One suggestion is that they should add coffee flavor, which is my favorite, and also make the frozen yogurt longer lasting - it melted a bit too quickly.3, other food - the owner said they also had smoothies and yogurt cones. I like the idea of cones since I rarely see them in other frozen yogurt shops. Their smoothie is a bit expensive - costs $35 each, but each cup contains at least 15 ounces or so. The owner's mom offered me some samples to try for free. It was again quite good. Think they can probably sell more if they reduce the size of the cup and also the price.4, other observations - interestingly the shop also sell organic baby formulas. A nice idea but don't think it sells well. The shop also feels a bit too hot inside. The aircon doesn't seem to be powerful enough. It's probably better if they can install a door to keep the cool air inside.Overall I think the food is good and the people are nice, but there are quite a lot to do. …Read More
